Loving Lake Life - Waterfront Home on Lake James with Dock!

Loving Lake Life is nestled in a gated community, right on the shores of Lake James! Our nearly new home comfortably sleeps 6 across the two main levels, with the option to rent the owner's quarters for an additional 4 guests. Enjoy relaxing on the beautiful porches, unwind in the game room, and take full advantage of the dock and all the water toys waiting for you! We’re thrilled to share our space for unforgettable times in this peaceful lakeside retreat.

As you step into the great room, the kitchen immediately catches your eye with its sleek new appliances and a spacious marble-topped island with seating for six. It's fully stocked for those who enjoy cooking! The living room features a built-in electric fireplace beneath the TV and triple sliding doors that open to stunning lake views.

These triple sliding doors lead to the back porch, where you'll find a dining area, comfortable seating, and a TV, all framed by the picturesque view of the lake.

The primary bedroom offers direct access to the back deck and includes a private bathroom with a tile shower. The second bedroom has access to the second full bathroom.

Upstairs, a large open common area awaits, complete with a desk, a game console featuring classics like Galaga and Pac Man, a ping pong table, a cozy TV area, and two additional twin beds. With multiple porches, ample sleeping space for six, and plenty of water toys, it's the perfect spot to unwind and relax!

Once you enter the gated subdivision where our home is located, you'll pass the Fonta Flora Trail and spot signs leading to the public cove beach, accessible only by trail or our community! The Fonta Flora Trail offers about 16 miles of mountain biking and hiking trails, winding through the woods and providing scenic lake overlooks. It's just a short walk from the house!

Our dock sits in a peaceful cove, ideal for boating, swimming, or fishing. It features hammock swings, chairs for relaxing, two paddleboards, two kayaks, and lifejackets – all for your enjoyment! Whether you're reading a book, fishing, or watching for kingfishers, the dock is the perfect spot to unwind. Feel free to bring your own boat and tie it up to the side of the dock for use during your stay (please note, the two jetskis are not for guest use). Once you leave our calm, wake-free cove, you can explore all of Lake James, try water sports like skiing or wakeboarding, or simply take a leisurely cruise to enjoy the breathtaking mountain views from the water. Lake James is the cleanest lake in North Carolina!

We're just a few miles from the Linville Gorge wilderness area and the public boat ramp at Linville Access. Lake James boasts 150 miles of shoreline, with around 30% of it belonging to Lake James State Park. The lake is home to ospreys, eagles, and many other wildlife species that you can spot during your stay!

Guests stay on the second and third levels of the house, while the bottom level is reserved for the owner's quarters. If you're interested in bringing additional guests, such as in-laws or a second family, please reach out for information on renting the extra space. The bottom floor includes two bedrooms (one queen and two twins, sleeping four), a bath, living and dining areas, and a kitchenette. Don't worry – you'll have the entire property to yourselves, with no one else on the premises!
