Lake Forest is a quiet community adjacent to the 600 acre Sea Pines Forest Preserve which features two large lakes and an Indian shell ring ... the only remnant of a native American village that existed 4000 years ago. By biking along the leisure trails that wind throughout Sea Pines, Lake Forest guests find a wide selection of restaurants, shops, and vacation activities at Harbour Town, Sea Pines Center, South Beach, and the oceanfront Beach Club. Lawton Stables is within a short walk. Those choosing to relax closer to home enjoy the lagoon view in front of the Forest Preserve from the back deck or the secluded on-site swimming pool. For avid tennis players, Lake Forest has private courts for the sole use of owners and their guests. King bed in the Master BR. A Queen in the guest bedroom plus a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Everything this place is beautiful! Wide open spaces and lovely landscaping! Just a short bike ride to Sea Pines Beach Club, and a short drive to grocery stores and the best restaurants on the island! Hosts were always quick to help and answer any questions! My family and I had a terrific stay and not a single complaint!

Excellent location with many activities to enjoy. The villa contues to have improvements as this was our third year renting for a month. Plenty of room with comfortable furnishings. Because of our length of stay, it was a little lacking in pots, pans, utensils as we love to eat at the restaurants but cooking in is our major meal time. Overall the villa is super for our needs and a starting place for enjoying Sea Pines and Hilton Head Island. We appreciate the owner's upgrades over the past few years and the great management by Buddy and Seashore Vacations.
Nice, bright, clean property in a convenient location, FIRM bed
Overall, this was a nice place. It was surprisingly roomy, the bedrooms & bathrooms were larger than expected. The couches were small and not real comfortable for the amount of space in the living room. The bathrooms have been updated and were nice. The property manager was responsive and fixed a leak under the sink and increased the water pressure in the primary bathroom within an hour of our call. The dryer doesnât work well, I had things in there for hours and they got warm but never dry. There was very little space in the primary to hang clothes, but there was plenty of space in the secondary bedroom. It was bright and clean. We appreciated the convenient location. The community pool was a hidden gem- we were usually the only ones there! It was clean, had a lot of comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas and bathrooms. I think the thing that would keep me from booking this property again was the primary bed, it was way too firm which made it difficult to sleep well, leaving us sore in the morning. It wasnât just a little firm.. Iâve honestly never felt a bed that hard. We joked that it would be more comfortable to sleep on the kitchen counter. If that doesnât bother you, Iâd recommend it!
My husband and I had a very restful and relaxing time at this condo. We enjoyed watching the alligators, listening to the birds, and watching the geckos. We also enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the warm sunshine with our coffee every morning. We hope to be able to return again next year.
A few things: size of unit desirable. Adequate closet space. Linens need updating. Kitchen utensils very inadequate, dull knives, no peeler, 1 hand towel not enough plates. Trash can outside was rummaged every night, trash always on ground, animal getting in underneath shed, outside, cigar was left on railing. Back steps broken, no one really looking after this property, and I donât mean Seashore Vacations, they were responsive.

As a retired couple from Ohio we have enjoyed 11 long term winter rentals including Bonita Beach, Ft. Myers, The Villages in Florida and recently Hilton Head Island. Lake Forest 3321 and Seashore Vacations have been the best for a relaxing and worry free experience. All listed amenities and owner supplied comforts were spot on. It simply was a "no hassle" rental. We observed owner pride in their property and clearly want their guests to make this property feel like their own. Like many units that have multiple short term renters, some minor wear and tear is always expected. When we listed a few minor issues, they were immediately remediated. We have loved the island since 1980 and we would definitely love to rent this unit again for our annual multiple week winter escape. We thank the owners for making this property available as a rental unit. You could not go wrong renting this unit anytime during the year.
Great location. Property needs some TLC. Management responsive.
We love this location and have stayed on other units in this complex.
The space of this unit is fine but the master bathroom had black mold (or something) in the toilet. Property managers said it was scratched - which is possible - but something black was growing in the scratches. Linens and pillows in master were flimsy and thin. Property management quickly brought an extra blanket and extra pillow cases for better pillows in the closet. Master shower (old with lots of calcium build up) had two shower heads but both were terrible making for a strange shower. Living area was sparsely furnished and not cozy to be in. Kitchen was adequate.
Our stay was fine. We loved watching birds and the huge gators in the lagoon behind the unit, and we liked the proximity to the nature preserve and the short bike ride to the grocery store.
Despite the review I am not that picky but first impressions count and black âstuffâ in the toilet is hard to overlook. We would definitely come back to Lake Forest again, and would rent again from SeaShore Vacations but would not come back to this unit.
This could be a really nice place. Just needs some TLC. Most of the following is very minor, but easily fixable:
Positive's:
Free bikes, cooler, and umbrella from VayK was super!
Washer and dryer worked flawlessly!
The kitchen was nice, and well appointed.
The second bedroom, although not used, was nice and well appointed.
Happy that the air conditioner unit worked flawlessly on 100° days!
Minor Things:
Basic directions of how to find the unit would have been nice; GPS wasnât much help.
There are active hornet and mud dauber nests at the front door (I'm allergic to stings).
Front steps are slippery during wet conditions because of green algae.
Some directions on how the dining room lighting works would be nice. Same thing for the remote controls for the televisions (three remotes for the TV in the master bedroom).
There are exposed carpet tacks where the carpet and wood floors meet at the master bedroom: not nice on bare feet.
A few outlets in the master bathroom did not work.
The code to enter the swimming pool area was wrong.
There was one thing that needs immediate correction: master bed. There were no vertical supports attached to the horizontal wooden planks to support the bed. I Macgyvered it to get us through the weekend (three filled Powerade bottles). Otherwise, the bed looked like the hull of a ship with everything - and every one - collapsing to the center.
I brought the last concern to the prop manager twice and have yet to hear from them. IDK.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have been coming to Hilton Head for 10 years. This was one of the nicer places were stayed. We enjoyed the pond backing on the forest preserve. Seashore vacations communicated with us various time before during and after our stay which was very much appreciated.

New entry stairs and a new sofa bed in the living room made our stay enjoyable. Love the gas grill and quality of kitchen appliances. Being monthly+ renters, we settle in and treat the property as we would our home. Service from Seashore Vacations is always top notch with quick response time for the few minor questions we had this past month. Looking forward to returning to this villa in 2025.

We really enjoyed the experience with Seashore and our condo in Sea Pines. The unit sat on a lagoon which we enjoyed watching the natural inhabitants on a daily basis. We were unable to manage the remote for the TV, called the office and someone was there in 20 minutes to demonstrate in person. How about a personal touch these days. We will be back!

We loved the villa and how spacious and clean it was. The location was perfect and a very quiet area. The only thing we weren't too thrilled with was how old the curtains and carpeting was. Also, the area rug needs to be replaced. The villa has bikes, but they are not functional and were very dirty and tires had no air. Overall, the stay was wonderful and super comfortable. The villa is decorated nicely and no clutter at all. They did purchase a new sleeper sofa with a very nice mattress. I will be booking this villa in the near future again.
Visiting my daughter for Christmas who lives on the island. Improvements would be safety precautions and extra household supplies. Rugs in the bathrooms for safety. Kitchen supplies are limited as far as cooking. The gum balls outside were dangerous , but we swept them up. Other than those few things a very nice roomy condominium.

Online the unit looks decent, but first impressions upon arrival prevailed for our stay. After driving 15 hours we arrived to a unit that looked like it hadnât been cleaned on the outside in years. The front-door vestibule was covered in spider webs and various mud hives were dangling from the ceiling. The front stairs have not been power washed in more than a year. The front door itself is dirty and needs to be repainted. Upon entry we noticed much dust and did contact Seashore. Seashore sent the cleaning crew out the next day, but items considered âdeep cleanâ were not handled. The bbq grill remained covered in cheese from the previous renterâs dinner, the vestibule was not even touched. Personally, the management company should have the exterior cleaned for each arrival as it sets the tone. According to the website the property is checked by Seashore before the next renter is granted access, but thatâs doubtful. The second bedroom has no bed frame, itâs just a mattress on top of a foundation shoved against the wall. The tv does not work in there either. The owner needs to put some money into overhauling both showers before itâs rented. I did report seeing drain fly larvae in second bathroom but no attention was given, and the master shower has mold surrounding the old shower frame. You can only see the mold when you get in to shower, so maybe thatâs why itâs not handled, but not what I want to pay for on vacation. Seashore should not rent for the owner until money is put into unit. No comforts of home as the couch is fit for a child, just an uncomfortable unit. Back deck is peeling and unmaintained. The 20-minute bike ride to Beach Club so s a bit far, but nice trails in Sea Pines.
We arrived early to the island and they accommodated our needs. I recommend the place to anyone planning to stay in Sea Pines and will definitely come back.
