Cheery, Peaceful Water Front Cabin on Winery Grounds
This serene and rustic cabin is on the Ingleside Vineyard's property. Have a glass or two of wine and walk around the vineyards and then retreat to your own private a-frame cabin oasis. A beautiful view of the Roxsbury Estate where abundant wildlife can be viewed all around the property and the pond is stocked and ready to be fished. Within driving distance to wineries, Stratford Hall, George Washington & James Monroe's birthplace, Westmoreland State Park, and the beach town of Colonial Beach.
There is no WIFI but most have great cell service, it's extremely private with an abundance of nature to view, and a full kitchen MINUS a oven and dishwasher, although there is a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave. There are WINDOW AC units that do an amazing job of cooling down the little cabin too. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
It is rustic and private and with any cabin in the woods we make every effort to keep pests away but sometimes things are inevitable even with pest treatment regularly.
Excellent little getaway spot! The cabin is adorable, well-decorated, and well stocked with offline activities. The little AC unit really puts in work and we were never sweaty. The location does a great job of placing you in a perfect viewing location for birds, turtles, and butterflies. We were able to walk over to the winery fairly easily.
Quiet, cozy and private cabin stocked with everything you need!We enjoyed fishing in the pond and dining at High Tides in Colonial Beach. Also visited Westmoreland State Park for hiking & more fishing! We definitely hope to return!
Our stay here was exactly what we were hoping for. Very peaceful atmosphere, a home away from home. We were able to see an eagle by the pond while we were having coffee on the deck. Our border collie loved playing around the pond while we were fishing.Amy was very responsive from the start of our stay. We canât wait to go back.
The cabin was great. Ingleside vineyards was very nice. The area around was nothing special. Colonial Beach seemed like it was very outdated. Like it might have been a nice place 15-20 years ago. Very underwhelming food selections.
Amy was very communicative and accommodating. The home and location was beautiful and had everything we needed. While we didn't get to spend much time in the area/cabin itself, we used it as a hub for business in Washington DC. The time we spent in the cabin however was still pleasant and memorable!
I wanted a cozy retreat from DC over the holiday, and this was perfect. The dog loved running around the lot and taking walks around the vineyard. I loved the views of the pond, the eagles, and having plenty of space for puzzles, drawing, and reading. I took a speaker for tunes. No wifi but my cell worked fine, as did my hot spot. (Both are Verizon.) The king size bed is super comfortable, and I appreciated the nicer linens.Great location â 10 minutes from groceries, 15 minutes from downtown and beaches. I planned meals for the hot plate, and it was easy enough without a tradition oven/stove top. As a solo woman traveler, I felt safe. Amy is a stellar host. There was a small hiccup with checkin, and she was super helpful and more than accommodating. Go say hi to the Vineyard team, and if you like beef bourguignon, buy a bottle of the Right Bank for your next stew. It was delicious.
Such a cute rustic cabin with all the comforting details in all aspects! Nothing left out! Right next door to a winery a walk away⊠the perfect country fall getaway! We will definitely be back! It was a delightful location!
This cabin was the perfect size and location for our stay. The bed was so comfortable and everything we needed was there. I really cannot wait to stay again!!
My husband, dog and I stayed in this beautiful A-frame as a pit stop on the way to our vacation. We loved it so much I wish we couldâve stayed longer. My dog loved the yard and the lake and lack of people near by. I highly recommend the hibachi food truck thatâs 5 minutes away. Everything was clean and the bed was comfy and all in all a relaxing weekend.
The property is very cute and small but it has everything you need! The nearby beach is very peaceful and enjoyable, we loved our stay here! And thereâs a Thai restaurant with a very welcoming and warm service as well! Just a few huge ants got on the bed while we were trying which is kind of terrifying, but other than that, everything is very good!
Mom of a bunch of boys, military spouse, and interior designer. I love traveling and spending time with family. I want a life of equal parts adventure and peace.
This cabin is so peaceful. It's on a stocked fishing pond and you can walk to Ingleside Winery. It's only 10 minutes from the downtown adorable area of Colonial Beach with great seafood, beaches, shopping, golf cart rentals, antiquing, and history. It is also close to historic areas like Stratford Hall, George Washington's birthplace, James Monroe's birthplace. Within 20 minutes of Westmoreland State Park as well. The cabin is like a comfy step back in time. There is no WIFI but most have great cell service, it's extrememly private with an abundance of nature to view, and a full kitchen minus a oven adn dishwasher, although there is a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave. There are window ac units that do an amazing job of cooling down the little cabin too. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay.
A stocked fishing pond, walk to the winery! Lots of nature around to view and so peaceful and quiet.
A rustic cabin in the woods! Think a little bit more glam than glamping!
As always, with any unique, and rustic cabin, we try our best to have it pest free, however sometimes in a ritual setting there are things that can not be helped.
