We thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home for our recent visit to Crater Lake National Park and the Lava Beds National Monument area. The house was conveniently located between both (about an house drive, give or take, to each), and is exactly as advertised, with a beautiful view, spacious kitchen, games, and everything we could need. The Running Y Ranch resort was beautiful, with frat walking trails, a cute market, a fun mini-golf course, and the outdoor activities area the kids really enjoyed (basketball, volleyball, pickleball, horseshoes, etc.). We would highly recommend staying here, and would stay here again if we are in the area again.

Kitchen is huge with two sinks, large fridge and freezer, profane stovetop, and extra storage available in hallway and laundry room.Plenty of cookware dishes and serve ware. The only thing we would add is plastic drinking cups and small juice glasses.Appreciative of the many toys and games … especially for our grandkids. They found new favorites and novel games.And, our Golden Retriever loved being with us 24:7 instead of in a boring kennel.Top marks all ‘round!

We stayed here with family and our pups over the New Year. This home was very clean and comfortable and set in a beautiful location. The host was extremely communicative and responsive to any questions we had and the kitchen had everything we needed to try new recipes and cook together.

Family Trip

We had a great stay at this house. Fully stocked with everything we needed and more. Access to the pool and gym were an added bonus to our trip and we enjoyed being close to the market and restaurants in the Running Y. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck by the fire pit every night! Highly recommend staying here for any family.

Crystal's place is amazing! We loved the views perched on top of the hill overlooking the golf course. We also appreciated the proximity to the Running Y facilities. Crystal's communication and information ahead of time made for a super smooth and relaxing family vacation!

Spectacular home with peaceful views

What a lovely visit we enjoyed! From the high end finishes and gourmet kitchen to the thoughtful welcome gifts and great communication, we could not have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience

This house is absolutely beautiful, very clean, and an easy place to settle in for a relaxing stay. The hosts are Communicative and helpful. The facilities are really nice as well. I can’t recommend enough!

Lovely and comfortable home for a group

We were in town for a graduation and had seven adults. This was a very nice, clean, and comfortable place for us to stay. There is a great deck with a gas fire pit which made a nice place to hang out in the evenings. There is a nicely appointed kitchen, a comfortable family room with a big TV, and plenty of room for everyone to sleep. It is located in a golf resort which is very beautiful. If we come back, we will definitely look this place up again!

Relaxing & pleasant

The house was more than expected. Comfortable and well appointed. Kitchen was a chef’s dream. Deck & views were beautiful. The staff at the running Y resort were friendly & helpful. Definitely plan to be a regular visitor.

Perfect Christmas retreat

Our family had a wonderful time over Christmas… Crystal and her family decorated for the holidays which made the experience that much more magical not only for my kids but for all of us. We were able to easily visit with family who live nearby and relax in this spacious home. The kitchen was fully equipped for meals large and small and it was just a short walk to all of the amenities the Running Y has to offer. We also loved the fenced-in back porch that overlooked the resort, which we watched snow fall from on Christmas Eve…pure magic.

This is a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. We drove up to Crater Lake (1 hour drive), rented bikes and rode back up to Running Y neighborhood for a hilly bike ride, and enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the community as well as the community market and restaurant. We love the layout of the house and the beautiful deck. Everything worked well. There was no shampoo, conditioner or body wash in the bathrooms, but we stopped at the community market to get some. We would definitely come back.

I wish I would have known that the shampoo and soap wasn’t given to you, as it most certainly should have been included in your stay. We.would have fixed this if we would have known earlier. Excellent place to stay and enjoy

I would hate to say it's excellent as I want to keep it as my secret place for beautiful vacations. :) Seriously, in every way, the place was excellent and all of the guests were very happy. The house was impeccably cleaned and maintained. There were enough dishes, bowls, pots, pans, utensils, etc. for us to use. Many of the condiments were well stocked. We had no issues at all during our stay. I highly recommend it! Crater Lake was a bit far from the house. It took us well over an hour; hence, a bit of planning may be necessary.

We rented Crystal's beautiful home over the 4th of July weekend, July 2nd - July 6th. The listing shows exactly what you get....a gorgeous home with amazing views of the golf course, mountains, sunrises, sunsets and peace....what a gem! The home is well stocked - the owner is so very thoughtful and kind....and the very best communication experience I have ever had. We rent homes alot --- Crystal has been the most responsive and thoughtful owner we have ever worked with. We loved the home, the open spaces (this home is big and a great place to gather, cook and spend time as a family) and the pure beauty of RunningY from the deck! We appreciated all the tips and information (and wine!) that she left for us. You will love RunningY Resort -- we do! Rent this home -- it is worth every penny and every minute! We did not want to leave....thank you, Crystal. If we could give it 10 stars, we would! Go explore and wander....this place is stunning, peaceful and fun. The lodge has great cocktails and breakfast at Joyful Cafe should not be missed. Crater Lake, paddleboarding, caves, horseback riding, golfing, hiking.....was the best vacation! This home made it perfect to come home to at the end of such fun days.....sip and relax. Enjoy!!!

Thanksgiving

My family and I all stayed here for Thanksgiving and it provided the perfect location to host. With the spacious living room and dining area we were able to have all my family, plus other local relatives over with no issues when it came to space- especially in the kitchen! Crystal was an excellent host who even left out a welcome gift for us and our dog! The location is perfect if you are looking to ice skate (when open) or drive to many of the hikes in the area- we did the Skillet Handle Trail right there at the Running Y and it provided stunning views of the lake. The back deck provided a nice view of the golf course which makes it pleasant to drink coffee on in the morning along with the fire pit for evenings. Overall this house and the host are wonderful and we can't wait to book another stay in the future.

This is a big roomy house with plenty of space for everyone. Kitchen was great for breakfast and dinner meals, with lunches on the go. Outside deck is large and had seating for all, with great views from it of golf course and surrounding property. The decks firepit made for comfortable nights and late-night star watching. Lower patio was not furnished. We could have carried chairs etc. down a set of stairs but we did not use it due to overgrown weeds and overall unkept condition. House is relatively close to nearby Highway 140 and morning noise from traffic was bothersome to early risers in our group. House is close enough for daylong trips to Lake-of-The-Woods Lake and Rocky Point Resort and boat launch for paddleboarding and Kayak trips. Both wonderful places.

You are our first 3 (or even 4) star review that we have ever had, so this is disappointing. We have never received complaints about the highway noise. Our house is not the closest Running Y road to the highway and we live in our house most of the year and do not hear the highway. We have also never received complaints about the lower deck because it is not a feature of the house that anyone uses, which is why it’s not in any of the pictures or even advertised. Water is expensive and we keep that part of the yard natural, to fit its surrounding with Running Y. We all use the main deck as it has the most gorgeous view of the Arnold Palmer golf course. You are the first to ever complain about the deck. I am disappointed to hear that your stay was not a 5 star, as every other guests we have had has rated it 5 star.

Absolutely incredible home for our family vacation!

The owners of the home were very communicative and wonderful to work with as we confirmed our dates of travel and and questions about available kitchen amenities. Let me tell you this home has it ALL and then some! Everything you could want or need; and all the little things you may have forgotten. From the moment we walked in the front door it immediately felt like home. The owners left us a wonderful family welcome basket that had everyone smiling! The home fit us all with room to spare; my husband and I took our 4 boys from ages 15 to 21 and everyone LOVED it! We enjoyed our evenings on the back deck with the firepit and the amazing views of the golf course and the hills and the stars at night with the moon! We golfed one day, enjoyed the pool and ate at the Ruddy duck a couple of times. We have stayed at many places over the years and this was by far the most wonderful home! Thank you again Crystal for sharing your home with us!
