The condo is located in Townsend, a quaint town in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. Nearby you can float the Little Pigeon River in the summer (River Rats 3.3mi), or visit the local favorite drive-in Burger Master (3.3 mi) for a post-hike treat. There is a nearby market (.7mi), or you can take the pedestrian walking path and bike or walk to the delicious Apple Valley Mountain Village & Café (1.1mi), just 5 minutes down the road. Townsend is the doorway to the beautiful Smoky Mountains where numerous hikes, fun swimming holes, or scenic picnic spots await you. Visit Cades Cove (17mi) for beautiful scenic views from your car and a picnic area too. Hiking options are numerous, and we suggest doing a little research, but a few well-loved choices include The Chimney tops, Laurel Falls, Abram Falls, and Alum Cave.
In addition to the beautiful mountains, there is also plenty to do in nearby Pigeon Forge (19 mi), and Gatlinburg (24mi). For fun activities, try Dollywood or Dolly Splash Country, Dixie Stampede, any of the Ripley`s locations (our favorite is the aquarium), mini golf, and so much more! For good eats, there are numerous restaurants in both locations. A few of our favorites include the Pancake Pantry, Smoky Mountain Brewery, Local Goat, or for fine dining options Foothills Milling Company or the Walnut Kitchen.
We recommend having a vehicle on hand!
- Due to an increased volume of units to clean each day, we are not able to accommodate early check ins or late check outs. You may check in as early as 4pm and must check out by 10am.
- For your convenience we supply you with a limited starter kit of toilet paper, soap, paper towels, trash bags, and dishwasher detergent. There are several shops you can visit nearby to purchase supplies for the duration of your stay.
- Due to the rural location of this property, cell phone reception may occasionally be spotty.
-The pool is open from 9 am until 8 pm, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
- The clubhouse is an easy walk up the street (0.1 miles). It is located at the end of your street, where Shooting Star Loop and Bishop Cap Circle meet. You are welcome to use the fire pit, pool, and seating outside, but please do not go inside the clubhouse.
- There is no RV or trailer parking per the HOA. Renters can park their trailers across the street for only $5 per day by calling & making reservations with Wolfe Creek Rentals. You need to state you are parking at the Townsend Facility.
- Guests are responsible for providing their own propane for outdoor fireplaces. There is often a supply left by previous guests, so we recommend checking before purchase. - PER THE HOA, THERE IS A $500 FINE FOR NOISE COMPLAINTS! THIS FINE WILL BE IMPOSED ON GUESTS WHO RECEIVE A NOISE COMPLAINT.
- There are permanent residents who live in the condos. Please be mindful and respectful of them. THEY WILL CONTACT US IF THEY OBSERVE RULE VIOLATIONS.
- You may not book if you live locally without asking for permission and letting us know why you need a place in town.
- By booking with us you agree to download our app to gain access to the property.
- Guests will be expected to clean up spills and messes that they make and throw all their trash in the trash can. Also, it will be the guest`s responsibility to do the dishes before they leave.
- To protect the host and guest, we must verify all guests ahead of the stay. Please be aware: As a part of the verification process, you may be asked to provide a copy of your official government-issued photo ID, confirm your contact information, and pass through our guest portal. The information is collected for screening and verification only and is not stored or used for any other purposes.
- You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully completing the guest portal.
- THERE WILL BE A $500 CHARGE FOR SMOKING, PARTYING, OR BREAKING ANY OTHER HOUSE RULES!
- Please do not bring glitter, confetti, or anything like that to any of our properties.
- Please ensure that you review the cancellation policy as it pertains to any cancellation for any COVID-19 reason. We encourage guests to purchase travel insurance because we cannot operate outside of our cancellation policy for any reason.
- Due to our close proximity to the National Park, we have a large population of insects, including ladybugs, house flies, stink bugs, millipedes, carpenter bees, and wasps. Although all of our properties are sprayed regularly by a professional pest control company, the city and park areas are not. During various times of the year, these insects may find their way into the property. By booking, you understand that is a possibility during your stay and understand that there will be no refunds related to bugs getting into the property. We will be happy to work with you to get pest control back out if necessary.
Haven Vacation Rentals, LLC’s Vacation Rental Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply. Renter will receive and agrees to sign the Terms immediately after making reservation, which will include, but not be limited to, the following: - The “Minimum Age” to rent the Property is 25 years of age. - By booking you agree to provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID directly to us. We will request this after your reservation has been made - The Renter is solely responsible for Renter’s actions and the actions of all family members, guests, and invitees. - Noise audible outside the Property is prohibited between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. - Unless authorized by the Property Manager, the number of people present at the Property may not exceed the maximum occupancy indicated in the listing or the reservation for the Property. - Check-in is from 4:00PM until 12:00AM and Check-out is before 10:00 AM. - If you do not vacate by check-out time, you authorize us to charge a late departure fee of up to one night’s rental and we may remove all Occupants and their personal property from the Property. - No smoking is permitted on the Property at any time. - No animals or pets of any kind are permitted at the Property except (1) as specifically authorized in your reservation, or (2) bona fide service animals that we are required by law to allow. - Renter authorizes us to bill the credit card on file for the full amount of the Rental Fee at the time of booking. Renter agrees not to make chargeback claims with its credit or debit card issuer. - Events and commercial photography or filming are prohibited at the Property without our express written permission. - Use of the Property for any criminal activity is prohibited. - Neither the Property Manager nor the Owner will be liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind, including those arising from the use of any pool, hot tub, lake, or bunk bed on the property. - Upon your arrival at the Property, you should inspect the rental unit to ensure the Property condition is to your satisfaction. If you find any conditions you need to report as unsatisfactory or damaged upon your arrival, you should report such conditions within two hours after the time you arrive at the Property. After the two-hour period expires, the Property is provided as is and we are not responsible for the inoperability or unavailability of any amenities. - You further agree to give us a reasonable amount of time to respond to your report and to cooperate with our efforts to address the concern or provide a remedy. - You acknowledge that you may be required to undergo a background check if mandated by the property management company or the building, as stated in accordance with your rental agreement and condition of the booking.

This property is close to town, but you feel secluded in a small and quiet neighborhood. The process was simple to follow, very clean and spacious place and the management team is quick to respond to whatever you need. I would definitely stay here again.

The condo was perfect for my husband and I along with my brother and sister in law. It’s newer, clean and beautifully furnished. The view of the mountains from the common porch area was spectacular! We met and talked with a few neighbors and everyone was so friendly. We plan on staying here again.

Fun family Smoky visit
This is a beautiful location tucked close to the Smoky Mountains. We really enjoyed the small town feel and had short commutes to all the venues we wanted from here.
The complex is nice and quiet... mostly older couples we met. The rental property was nice but had a few issues that had us adjusting some plans to get things done. Sounds like management plans to resolve these quickly so others shouldn't be inconvenienced like we were. It was a pleasant stay for the most part.

Our time in Cades Cove Condo
The property is fantastic! Very nice, very clean, very comfortable! Everything about it was wonderful. The hosts were super good at communication. Great location. It was so close to the National Park, which was our destination. So enjoyed the deck! There must have been a recent hatch of Cicadas, so we were serenaded by them! Highly recommend this property! One slight improvement would have been another small kitchen towel. Also, be sure to read all the information ahead, because they provide just 2 rolls of toilet paper. You can't go wrong with this property. Wish it was mine!

This condo was awesome and was our first stay in Townsend - since weve stayed in the Pigeon Forge area for years. This condo was spotless, super easy to get to off a large paved highway, and very quiet and private. We had a little glitch with door lock upon arrival, but the response was immediate and Jack stayed with us until we had things worked out. This condo is the perfect spot for visiting the Foothills Parkway and Cades Cove but also the National Park in general. Even driving Wears Valley road over to Pigeon Forge is easy and only about 15-20 minutes away - but gorgeous! I highly recommend this property. We saw 3 bears one afternoon late wandering in the back woods from our balcony. Awesome!!! We did not use any of the properties amenities since we were “leaf poppers” our entire visit. Several good restaurants on the main highway as well as groceries and gasoline.
