Take all trash from house & empty into bins under car port & at the end of stay bring trash & Recycle bins to end of driveway.
Please gather all used linens & towels leave in a pile in front of washer & dryer
Do not leave food around house. At end of stay be sure all no food or candies have been left anywhere around house. Rinse dishes, place in dishwasher & run washer upon departure.
The owner is very kind. There is plenty of room in the kitchen and dining room to hang out with the family. Good number of bedrooms and a nice bathroom on the second floor. Close to downtown Woods Hole and Falmouth.
When my family and I arrived at our rental, which is listed as, âBeautiful Antique walk to Quissett Harbor & Shining Sea Bike Path,â what we found was not, âa charming antique, perfect for relaxation & gatherings of friends,â but a broken down house that is in disrepair and can only be described as ramshackle. Itâs unethical for the owner to charge $1,000 a night for this property, which is at best worthy of half this price.
The backyard, which in the ad for the house was described as âa gardenâ with a âplay areaâ and âBBQâ, is decrepit, with a fence that looked like it had fallen down a decade or more ago. Itâs a dramatic site to behold. There is a picnic table but it has mold and moss growing on its bench seats. The earth is hard scrabble, fallow, with a lot of decayed organic matter from the surrounding trees. The BBQ was dirty and full of old, half burned charcoal briquettes, with a half burned briquette bag and a dirty, greasy grill.
The overhang above the entry door has wood rot and appears to be collapsing. This is a hazard because if the rotten wood falls, it will hit someone entering or exiting the house.
At first, what we eventually realized was the entry door, did not appear to be the door at all. The screen door on the entry appeared to be covered by white scum and it is disgusting. We were hesitant to touch it so I put on gloves to open the door. We all questioned if we were in the right place and were hesitant to enter. It smelled musty and moldy and I ima
