Amazing!

Loved this little cottage so very much! Our whole family was super comfortable, and nothing was overlooked as far as amenities and conveniences, even down to the accomodations for pets! Would love to come back again soon!

Great Cottage

We stayed for a long weekend, with our dog, visiting Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Great cottage with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Centrally located, great neighborhood for walking, and loved the yard with the dog. We will definitely stay again when in the area!

What a great location of a newly renovated home. It was well furnished & equipped with everything! All the details made us feel so welcome. The owners were fantastic to communicate & quite accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Super cute cottage!

We had a great time at the cottage. The cottage was recently renovated and was very clean and today. The hosts had many things in the house to make our stay easy. The neighborhood was close to anything we needed. It was quiet and friendly. I highly recommend the Buttermilk Cottage!

Buttermilk Cottage

My wife and I spent a long weekend here for our wedding anniversary. Just as described honestly, much larger from the outside You can walk to the beach in less than 2 minutesSit by the fire pit We grilled our dinner and walked our dog it was fantastic weekend!our hosts were great we were greeted by basket of snacks which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone.

Quaint little cottage

The house was clean and well stocked with everything you could need. There is a cute little beach right down the street but we mostly traveled to the bigger beaches and downtown areas. The owner was so sweet and responsive. One hour after we checked out she contacted me to let me know we left an Apple Watch behind. She had it in the mail the next day!

Comfortable Stay Away from Home

My husband and our senior doggie stayed here for a weekend. We have family in the area and someone very dear to us passed away and we needed a place to stay for the funeral. We were greeted with a basket full of snacks and a beautifully appointed home. What a great place to stay anytime…but we would love to come back in the summer! They are steps away from the water and everything was super close and convenient. We will be back! Thanks for the awesome stay.

The cottage was gorgeous! Very comfortable and clean. All amenities were perfect. Close to private beach. Dogs love it! We want to thank you and all homeowners that allow us to travel with our dogs! It's nice to be able to vacation as a family! Many thanks!

Perfect cottage stay!

This cottage was perfect for our family of 5...very clean, great location and quaint neighborhood. Very nice personal touches...we arrived to a basket of Cape Cod trinkets and goodies. We would certainly stay here again if we are in the area in the future!

Fantastic. WILL be back!

We booked a last minute trip to the Cape and found this adorable house. We brought our kids, 8 and 10, as well as our dog. The house was adorable and very clean. We entered to surprise treats for both humans and canines! A small inlet beach is just a 2 minute walk away through the neighborhood. The beach was small, private, and just right for a quick family trip. Great for kids. We went to nearby Plimouth /Patuxet living history museums and toured the Matflpwer II. ( half an hour away ). We also brought our bikes and did a gorgeous family bike ride on a nearby bike path. The hosts were responsive and kind! It was the perfect 3 night family getaway. The house was perfect!

Awesome place!

The property was perfect! Room for the four legged friends and humans! We forgot a bunch of stuff and the house had it all from new toothbrushes to snacks we did not pack to hair ties! The hosts have literally thought of everything! Great place!

ideal beach spot for families

My husband and I rented this place for a 4th of July weekend vacation with our daughter, her husband, two girls ages 10 and 7, and baby boy. The place was ideal for us. The girls enjoyed the bunkbed, and the sound-proofing in the house is such that we had a quiet space in our bedroom: we didn't hear the baby crying at night or even the family making their early morning breakfasts. The place is well-equipped with all needed kitchenware - plates, glasses, utensils, pots, foil and dishes for wrapping left-overs - and also has a great supply of games, including balls and board games. The wifi connection is strong, and it was easy to add our accounts to the TV so that we could enjoy Netflix, Disney etc. The air conditioners in every room work well. The grill is very easy to use and clean, and we enjoyed roasting marshmallows and sitting around the fire pit at night. There is plenty of room on the property for our dog to run around and chase balls, and the neighbors were friendly. The beach is within a 3 minute walk - basically a short block from the edge of the property. It was perfect for our grandkids who can swim, but not well. They enjoyed splashing around, getting towed on boogie boards, and poking around for hermit crabs and sea snails, of which there are many at one part of the beach. One day we went to Onset Beach, a 10-minute drive away, which has white sands, and where it's easy to rent kayaks ($20/hr for a single) and paddle boards. There are plenty of good restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive, including Ella's (excellent food, pleasant patio) and the Lobster Pot (great lobster roll, good burgers, other sandwiches, with picnic tables so that we could bring our dog). Remarkably, there were no mosquitoes and hardly any other biting insects. A large bug-repelling candle is provided. The property owner was very responsive, accommodating and helpful in every way, and has compiled a binder that includes suggestions of things to do and see in the vicinity. Our family will definitely return!

Super clean, cute and comfortable!! Easy check in and out. Great place to stay!!!

We were doing home renovations and had to vacate our house for 10 days. Along with our pets. Buttermilk Cottage was super clean and very comfortable. The owners thought of EVERYTHING to make us and our pets comfortable during our stay. There are 2 private beaches sob close to the cottage. A very easy walk. Check in and out were really easy. Would highly recommend staying at Buttermilk Cottage!! Great place to stay and vacation!! Definitely 5 stars!!! Thank you for an amazing stay at your wonderful cottage!!! We LOVED it!!!
