Rustic lake cottage located near the tip of the peninsula in the Lake Almanor Country Club. Sleeps 12 comfortably and has two lake access points within walking distance. Come enjoy the retro cottage with 60's theme and enjoy all the activities that are offered like golf, tennis, beaches, boat launches, two parks with bbq's, picnic tables, clean park bathrooms, concerts and more. Bring the whole family!
New carpet, new bedding, deep cleaned, and remodeled bathrooms as of 5/2022.
We were there with other family who stayed in Westwood. Out of all of our VRBO's our owner was the easiest and nicest out of all. The kids loved playing at the park and I had family coming and going through the gate, it was super easy and very welcoming. The skate boards, kayaks and paddle board was the icing on the cake. The kids loved all of the activities. John and Geneveve, thank you so much you made our stay easy. We are all talking about another family reunion so we will choose you again!!!
We loved this property so much!! Lake is amazing as always and the area is stunning. John was so helpful with all of my questions and check in and out was easy. The house was fully stocked and just perfect for what we were looking for! Highly recommend!
No one took out the trash on Sunday as directed so it was full on Monday arrival
The cleaners could go a little deeper than basic vacuum and trash and bed change.
Enjoyed location and the area is beautiful
Beautiful Penninsula tip location with lake views from both front and back decks.
Perfect layout for our small family of five adults and two children. The house could easily sleep 12. The house was very well supplied with all that was needed. We enjoyed pickleball, golf, lake swimming, walks and very relaxing family time. The rustic dusty cabin oders were a turn off to a few of us.
Property is very clean and conveniently located to lake access. Lovely views from front porch, especially. Updated bathrooms and beds/bedding left us refreshed and well-rested. Homeowner was prompt to responding to our questions, and eager to ensure our comfort. We would gladly return to this Lake Almanor Cabin!
This simple little cottage actually impressed me with the number of bedrooms and sleeping spaces. While itâs definitely outdated, it worked for our family just fine.
Thereâs a huge deck for BBQâs and a killer view. The property overlooks both sides of the lake and is close to either Rec 1 or Rec 2.
Room to park a boat and two large vehicles
Plenty of bath towels and fresh linens provided along with beach chairs and kayaks.
Now not so great, the coffee maker was broken so I went to the coffee shop every morning.
But, the owner was apologetic and super responsive.
We had a great stay and would stay here again.
Nice rental inside the country club with access to recreational areas of the club. Great host, prompt responses and instructions. John also helped with shipping my keys I had left behind at the property during checkout.
Property is as shown in the photos. Kitchen is adequately equipped.Patio in the back is big and very relaxing. Great view of the lake from front porch and upstairs bedroom. Overall a great experience and host. Would love to come back.
This was the perfect place to stay for me and my family along with another family we were traveling with. We loved the large deck out back, the view of the lake from the front door, and the relatively short walk from the home to the top of the peninsula. Weâd definitely love to stay here again, despite the negatives identified below.
The main negative was that we were there over a couple of hot days (temperatures in the 90s) for the peninsulaâs standards. Since the property did not have AC, this meant that the two bedrooms upstairs did were pretty hot and didnât cool off until the middle of the night (around 2am). Also had odd experience where someone else had a code to get into the unit, got in while we werenât there, found my wifeâs phone number on her luggage, and gave her a call saying that they had booked the unit for the night as well. They ended up leaving and didnât end up being a big deal, but it was just odd that it seemed the place had been double booked.
Upon entering, you feel like you've stepped back in time. Though the furniture is dated, it adds to the charm and quirkiness of the house.
The front deck provides a quiet space to enjoy the afternoon breeze while sipping a cool drink and reading your favorite piece of literature. The back deck is spacious with a picnic table and grill. The perfect place to enjoy outdoor meals.
The location is perfect for water fun. Within a short and leisurely walk, there are two different lake accesses. If you have a big load to transport, both provide parking too.
Enjoy your stay! We surely did.
I live in the Sacramento Area and love fishing, golf, water sports, hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, and the list goes on. I like being a host to share this special location on the peninsula at Lake Almanor! The views are breathtaking and the community is awesome!
I chose this neighborhood because of the location of the property to the lake access points, and all the amenities that the community offers. I also like the fact that it is a gated community with security, so I feel safer here then in other areas.
