Wonderful location and a practical, clean and new feeling property with 4 en-suite bathrooms and an extra half bath right where you need it by the door. We had one issue while we were there and help arrived within minutes. We loved our stay and I would book again.

My family had an excellent vacation at Crabby Paddy. When we arrived, the home was immaculate. The property is a very short walk to the beach and afterward, there is plenty of room inside for everyone to relax together or to take some time alone. The A/C kept us cool indoors throughout the entire home while the porches let us sit outside and enjoy the warm breeze. We had plenty of parking for our guests. The concierge was proactively helpful, confirming that everything was to our liking throughout the week. If there were beach towels and an umbrella it would have been nice. But it's easy enough to get those things, either through the concierge or on your own, while there. If we go back to Myrtle in the next few years, Crabby Paddy will be the first place we look to book.

Great Stay

Had a great stay, there were a couple maintenance things that came up….which of course happens….and they were great and helped right away, the place is close to the water and public beach access, it’s a spacious place with comfortable beds and sofas!

Close enough to walk to the beach even with a bunch of little ones around. Tons to do in the area. The community pool was not open which was a bummer but overall an amazing stay.

Unfortunately we had a medical emergency in the middle of the night and had to check out early. We had tickets to the gardens which I wanted to give to the staff since we could not use them but when I called I was unable to talk to someone and since we left urgently by the time my call was returned we were headed home to the hospital.

The house was in a good location - You only had a to walk just a little bit to get to the beach and unless you plan on using a golf cart for getting around to other areas I would say that a golf cart rental is not needed. I believe the upkeep of the house could have been improved. Upon arrival we had issues with the refrigerator but the maintenance team came out and took care of our concern. Cleanliness - there was several pieces of dishes that was found in the cabinets dirty along with crumbs found in places like the silverware tray/ drawers etc that I believe housekeeping could improve and be more detailed. The bedroom furniture is dated with spring mattresses and one room is has mattress toppers. We also had a problem with ants in the kitchen area and had to keep any breads or open food in the microwave stored away. I found the house to be just okay and recommend that the owners follow up with their housekeeping crew and to consider updating the beds and overall accommodations provided. This is also the first time to walk in to a VRBO with only 1 roll of paper towels and 2 trash bags to use for a 5 day stay. Overall I rate the property as a 3.5 star. Trash remained in the cans outside the property all week with a strong smell. Owners did deliver a gas grill after we questioned that there was none and I appreciate that. No electric on the carport level so extension cord ran up to patio deck had to be used to charge the golf cart.

Lovely home just a 3 minute walk to the beach. Beautiful little street with multicolored houses & a small but perfect pool which was never busy. We truly had the best experience with last minute booking, proximity to the beach, clean and safe little street & almost a private pool! Book it if you’re even thinking about it! You will not be disappointed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented a house named Crabby Paddy in Garden City for 6 weeks. The house itself is a pretty typical seaside rental. The furnishings were also typical (blue nautical theme). The owner needs to consider updating the kitchen and bathrooms. Over the course of 6 weeks we had a handful of maintenance needs. Bask Away handled each one expeditiously and completely. The maintenance staff were attentive, considerate and friendly. The best thing about this rental was the nearness of the house to the beach. It was a simple 2/3 minute walk.If anyone is considering renting a propping the Surfside, Garden City, Murrells Inlet area I highly recommend using Bask Away to book your stay.
