Fun family-style casual and cozy condo. Great location and a mile from the Village and a mile from Eagle Lodge. Outdoor community pool, jacuzzi & sauna as well as BBQ's, ping pong table, cornhole & a tennis/pickleball & half court basketball court. It’s been in the family for 40 years and we are just now starting to rent it out. Some upgrades so far - new appliances & hardwood flooring downstairs and more to come. The old school massage chair is a perfect way to relax after a fun outdoor day.

All original artwork & sculptures from the 30's through the 70’s was created by my grandfather who was one of the original cartoonist at MGM and hired by Walt Disney himself.

We had a great stay. The kids loved the loft. The place is spacious for our large family group and our dog. The location was great too and the host was very responsive and gave us very helpful tips. We would definitely stay again.

Awesome KB! So stoked the family had a great time and my grandfather & dad would be smiling if they could read your review:-) My grandfather's art, cartoons & sculptures are displayed throughout the condo. He was also credited with the original artwork for Tom & Jerry as well as Howdy Doody. He also designed what is now The Mammoth Mountain Inn. You can find that piece underneath the TV in the living room. And my dad played for the original Angels in 1961 and played on the USC college World Series winning team under Rod Dedeaux and there are several photos sprinkled throughout condo.

This place is what you look for in a family style rental. There is a lot of personality in this place and works well for a family setting. The owner was very flexible and hospitable. We would love to stay here again.

Great home base central location for our 5 person group exploring mammoth all week. Had everything we needed. Pool and hot tub access was easy, not crowded and great. One small issue when we first checked in was rectified immediately with great communication by the owners. Would totally stay again.

Thank you for the kind review JG. In full disclosure, the cleaning crew had the wrong day calendared (might have been my error as well) so JG and his crew showed up to a messy condo. The cleaning crew came over there immediately when he notified me and cleaned. I sent money back to JG as well as paid for their dinner at Dos Alas (my favorite restaurant by far in Mammoth and Cristi the owner lives in the complex too and is a sweet heart.) You guys are welcome back any time!

Our host, Rob, was outstanding. He welcomed us by text and offered suggestions for our time in Mammoth. Communication was easy. The artwork everywhere in the condo made us want to meet him and know his story.

Nice quirky property with lots of character. Quiet area and lots of space for our family. Helpful host. On a very hot night air conditioning would have been nice, but we knew in advance it wasn’t installed.

Thank you LW and completely fair review. I am bringing up a portable AC unit next week to try it out. This seems to be the hottest summer we have had in years. The giant fan as well as all of the portable fans next to open windows and the slider typically provides enough of a breeze but I am looking forward to trying out the portable AC unit too. A couple friends and I were in town for a wedding. The stay was absolutely fantastic. Such a beautiful condo. Welcoming, warm, plenty of space for everyone. Rob is awesome! 1000% recommend and I’ll definitely be staying here again.

I bought this condo from a really good college friend whose parents were the original owners from the early 80's. I've been coming up to Mammoth since the early 80's as well and love it. I love sharing the stoke and the condos with others:-) All of the artwork his original artwork created by my grandfather. Some of the pieces are almost 100 years old. In 1967, he was also credited along with his partner (Mel Shaw) for the original design work for the Mammoth Mountain Inn (previously known as the Mammoth Mountain Luxury Apartments). That original design can be found framed underneath the TV in the living room. More about the Robert Y Allen can be found on the wall when you walk into the condo as well. He was also credited with the original design work for the Howdy Doody doll, the predecessors to the cartoon Tom & Jerry and several MGM cartoons from the 40’s that you can find on YouTube today. There is also a wall with several photos of my dad's time playing for the Angels.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I love Old Mammoth. The village is great but there's something a bit more nostalgic about this area.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

It's the largest of all of the floor plans in the complex and is 2 stories with a master on each floor and a loft with 4 single beds. All of the kitchen appliances were upgraded in 2023 and new hardwood floors were installed downstairs in 2024 but we kept the original shag carpet in the bedrooms and stairs and it has been deep steam cleaned several times, We also kept the original Formica counter tops in the kitchen, the solid wood cabinets and the linoleum flooring in the bathrooms to keep it cozy and a little old school. There’s also a fully functional massage chair and the wood pellet burning fireplace is awesome too and heats up the whole condo but there is also central heat and several plug-in heaters around the condo if necessary.
