Leave your cares behind when you head off for this private Big Bear Cabin which feels deep in the forest yet is close to everything! At Moonlight Ridge, relax and enjoy the tranquility of ski slope views, explore the 1/3 of an acre wooded property, or venture out to Bear Mountain Big Bear Mountain Golf Course and the Alpine Zoo which are all located within a 3-minute drive. Only a few extra minutes gets you to Snow Summit, Big Bear lake, and the adorable Village shops and restaurants!
The main level has an open floor plan with dining area and living room featuring a wood burning fireplace, extra large wrap-around couch, a flat screen TV, DVD player, high ceilings, and large windows with mountain and ski slope views. The modern kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything you need to make your stay comfortable including direct access to a large deck for a breath of fresh mountain air and propane barbecue so you can enjoy a meal in the great outdoors. This level also has a powder room.
Down one level you will find two full bathrooms and three spacious bedrooms. The master suite has a king bed, private sitting area with flatscreen TV, DVD player, attached (and newly remodeled) full bathroom with tub and extra large shower, and its own private balcony with gorgeous tree top views. The roomy second bedroom has a queen bed, access to the laundry room and its own access to the great outdoors. This room also contains 2 extra sleeping cots for larger groups. A cozy third bedroom features a queen bed and twin over twin bunks, perfect for an entire family to share!

On the ground-level you will find a large and private game room which can also serve as a 4th bedroom for bigger groups. This floor includes a sleeper sofa, fourth bathroom, flat screen TV, Foosball table, darts, retro video arcade nook, and its own fireplace. Close the door for complete privacy! It also features slider access to a spacious patio area and gorgeous forest-like backyard where you will find a new 6 person hot tub as well!
Parking for (3) cars max.
If parking 3 vehicles pull the 1st car into the right as much as possible (parallel with the street).
The next 2 cars should park perpendicular to the street, side by side, nose-in.
Moonlight Ridge is located in Moonridge, a highly coveted area less then a 5 minute drive to Big Bear Mountain Ski Resort and a 3 minute drive to Moonridge Zoo.
Free Big Bear Trolley:
Mountain Transit`s Free Big Bear Trolley service offers convenient and reliable transportation for both locals and visitors to help eliminate traffic congestion and car pollution in the Valley.
Traffic and illegal parking are a significant issue for Big Bear during the busy winter and summer seasons. We encourage everyone to leave their vehicles at their homes or rentals and hop on the Free Big Bear Trolley to navigate the town.
Three new routes have been specially designed to make accessing restaurants, grocery stores, retail shops, ski resorts, snow play areas, parks and work easy and efficient.

Dog Friendly (up to 2 dogs, $85 each stay per dog) - all dog poop must be picked up and disposed of or there is $150.00 charge as a deterrent as our cleaners do not pick up dog poop.
We have highchairs available at our office for rent for a fee of $25 per day for each, please notify us in advance if you would like to rent one during your stay. There is a pack n` play now at the listing for use free of charge.
We have one portable AC unit for the upstairs only please note this is Big Bear and most cabins do NOT have central AC.
To comply with our city permit, there is a $35 charge for dish cleaning in case they are not washed before your check-out.
If there is trash in the property, there will be an additional charge of $25 per bag.
Any guest that violates county or city rules as outlined in our `things to know` and `house rules` sections will be subject to paying a $350 call code attendance fee by our 24:7 call compliance staff in addition to any fines levied by the city, whether it results in a violation or not.
Please remember these rules are mandated and imposed solely by the CITY and our PERMIT/ORDINANCE which requires property management companies to notify all guests that the CITY requires you to sign a rental agreement and the Good Neighbor Brochure to obtain the code to the property as well as provide a copy in the rental agreement app a copy of Governmental ID that matches the name on the reservation. Please notate these and all rules regarding spa hours, trash removal, noise and dishes being washed are due to our permit and not our rules so please keep this in mind before booking as some guests rate us based on rules we must abide by to rent. We appreciate that they are unique rules please do not review us based on the reviews we need to follow, we appreciate it. The code cannot be sent until this agreement is filled out.
(1) Maximum vehicles and guest occupancy permitted is described in the listing. Any violation is subject to eviction and/or cancellation of your stay. If you need additional parking, please contact us directly.
(2) Big Bear Lake does not allow street parking; they will tow any vehicles parked on the street and any towing fees or fines issued are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
(3) Excessive noise or loud music heard at the property line is prohibited by the CITY for the consideration of the local residents. The CITY enforces quiet hours from 10:00 PM â 7:00 AM and will send out code enforcement officers to issue fines/and or evict guests for any violations reported. There will be a $300 administrative fine per Code Call for our team to show up as we are required to attend such code call within 30 minus, plus $100 per hour of our time spent for the violation. This is IN ADDITION to any fines issued by Code Enforcement which start at $500 to $5000 per violation.
(4) Dishes - All dishes must be cleaned before leaving and the house must be left in the same condition that you found it in. Any dirty dishes left in the kitchen are subject to a $45 fee- our housekeepers will unload dishes or put them away but do not wash dishes or dump trash per the law this includes leaving dishes with food on them or left in the home. It also attracts vermin. Please note this is part of our permit and not included in cleaning the home after guests leave.
(5) Trash - All trash must be removed offsite to the free trash sites. Any bags or trash left behind in the bathroom, kitchen (including leaving behind items in the fridge, or outside is subject to a $25 per bag for removal this is not our rule - this is the law and we must abide by it as there is no trash service due to wild animals. Please do not review us based on the law. We provide a dump service if you should want to pay in advance, but we have to send a dump service we cannot have housekeepers take the trash as the CITY does not allow this.
(6) Barbecue- Propane is offered on the honor system on any firepit or BBQ. Please do not leave the firepit or BBQ on unattended. Please clean the BBQ after use. If by chance the propane runs out, please let us know and we will send someone to replace it. Please make sure all propane is turned off after use. Big Bear does not allow the use of charcoal of lighter fluid. Please be advised if you run out of propane and it is after hours we cannot promise after hours refills late at night as the stores may not be open.
(7) Pet- All pets must be disclosed and pet fees paid in full prior to your arrival. Please be sure to clean up after your pets, please do not allow them on the furniture or bedding, and for their safety do not leave them outside unattended. Any pet waste left inside or outside of the home or damages to the home are subject to additional cleaning or repair fees.
(8) Hot Tub â No hot tub use after 10pm per the law any time a spa is left open and the cover off more than 30 mins a fine of $250 per hour will be due plus damages to the spa as this can result in pipes freezing - if a user error or maintenance is found or if we have to dump and fill water prior to your stay due to cleanliness requirements - we cannot be held liable nor grant refunds for a spa not being at the temperature desired or if left uncovered - if we have to dump the water it can take 24 hours for it to warm up. This is out of our control as sometimes the water has to be dumped and can take 24 hours to warm up. This will not be grounds for a refund.
(9) Parties or noise ordinance calls â any parties, events, unauthorized guests or noise complaints will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Any party will incur $5,000 fine plus immediate eviction.
(10) No over occupancy - $500 per person over occupancy fine plus damages plus immediate eviction and subject to code call fines.
(11) No smoking, vaping or drugs inside our cabins at any time. Any evidence of violation is grounds for immediate eviction from the cabin and a $3500 plus damages found at the home.
(12) Please refrain from bringing your own BBQs, Firepits and or outside cooking devices are banned by the CITY due to the fire safety hazards. This is subject to eviction due to this is how fires start.
(13) Due to the mountain location, Big Bear and the surrounding areas are known to have occasional power and internet outages due to circumstances beyond our control. Power outages are usually brief, lasting a few hours or less and the city always tries to work quickly to get it back up and running. There are no refunds at anytime for power or internet outages due to normal mountain conditions, as these are beyond our control.
