The Isabella - A stunning historical adobe condo in Barrio Viejo
The Isabella is an inviting, warm and cozy one bedroom adobe condo in Tucsonâs Barrio Viejo or âold neighborhoodâ. Her charms include Saguaro cactus rib ceilings, thick adobe walls and brick paved floors. She is located in the Ochoa Court condo complex dating back to at least 1888. Cook yourself a gourmet dinner in her old meets new kitchen, lounge in the intimate back patio, relax and stream some movies in the desert chic living room and sleep well in the luxurious King Bed with memory foam mattress. This adorable historical condo is located within walking distance to downtown, the SunLink Streetcar to U of A, local brewpubs, coffee shops and restaurants including easy walks to 5 Points Cafe, the Meyers Cafe and lounge, and the Coronet. New to VRBO, but our first guests wrote...."The Isabella is stunning inside and out. It is beautifully furnished with everything you could need. ....We enjoyed relaxing on the back patio in the evening with snacks and cold beers."
Beautiful row house home in the heart of 5 Points! Love the outdoor areas, designated parking, and all the kitchen amenities. Outstanding host to boot!
The Isabella is adorable! I highly recommend anyone and everyone to stay here! The house was cozy and so cutely decorated, very clean and well stocked, the location perfect and the host very quick to answer and help when we needed it! Thank you so much for the wonderful place to stay!
If we could give more than a 5 star rating, we would! The place was beautiful! Clean, conveniently located and with a great deal of special touches. If we are ever back in Tucson we definitely would rent this place again!
This is our second one month stay at The Isabella. The home is lovelier than the pictures and very comfortable to be in. The location is so fun. We enjoyed walking to town, going to historic sites, and the restaurants and galleries close by.
I truly enjoyed my stay at The Isabella! It was clean, quiet, comfortable and very welcoming! The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. Jennifer was very quick to communicate and answer any questions I had. I honestly canât say one negative word about The Isabella, it is a great stay and I would definitely stay here again! There are also two places in the neighborhood you can walk to and have coffee and pastries with nice outdoor seating. I had a wonderful stay, Thank You!!
Jenâs place was as advertised! Spotless and very well maintained. All appliances were new and the owners provided detailed usage instructions for everything. The area is close to downtown yet very quiet. We had good communication with Jennifer and she was very helpful. I would highly recommend staying at her unit. We intend to go back this winter.
Up and coming nice little neighborhood. Extremely well apportioned small house with great king size bed. Perfect for 2 person getaway. Easy check in, easy drive to all of Tucson. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a central Tucson stay.
We had a great stay. The property is exactly as listed and is in a great location. The property manager was super responsive to all inquiries. We will definitely be back!
Really lovely place in historic neighborhood. Great place to walk around and have a sense of old Tucson. Good low key restaurants to walk to. Downtown only blocks away. Perfect.
All good, well equipped kitchen, even sharp knives, Weber grill on the back patio. Comfortable king-size bed. Recommend without any reservations and would stay there again.
Despite the irritating and needlessly complicated Italian appliances we love all else about this rental. Quiet, clean, nicely appointed. Jenn is so easy to deal with as manager.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is spacious, with beautiful historic features. It was stocked with everything we needed (and more) for a long-term stay. The oven/microwave is tricky at first, but Jenn's instructions (posted on side of fridge) plus a youtube video were helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable to many desired destinations. Great hiking is a reasonable drive in all directions. Communication with the host is first rate.
Comfortable in-town home.3 rooms.Everything cleanEasy parking on a quiet street. Nicely stocked with lots of extras in the frig, the bathroom (q-tips, suntan lotion, all soaps, coffee, jam, sodas) A little tough using some of the appliances the first time. Very comfortable bed, but high We would happily stay here again
I would stay at the Isabella again without hesitation. The home was charming and comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the location worked well for us.
This property is exactly as described. It is clean and completely functional. Everyone you need is there for you. Bed is very comfortable, great shower, washer/dryer, kitchen is fabulous. Clean. Really clean. The outdoor space is so cute, reserved parking for for you. This place has it all. We loved it!
Loved staying here for an educational retreat at the University. Great location, so many nice touches including snacks and drinks, super responsive host. Would definitely recommend and stay here again in the future. Thank you for a lovely time in Tucson!
I am so happy to introduce myself! I've lived in Tucson for over 35 years and absolutely love the Sonora desert. I have raised my five children here and am so happy to wake up every morning to the beautiful sun and mountains. I love hiking Tucson's varied hiking trails and have just started mountain biking. There is so much history here with wonderful restaurants and plenty to do outdoors.
Dating back to the late 1800's, the Isabella has such charm and unique historical features that it felt like a place I'd like to stay as soon as I entered for the first time. The Saguaro rib ceiling and thick adobe walls offer the experience of staying in an old adobe home, but with modern conveniences. While the Isabella is cozy at 850 Square Feet, each room is spacious and inviting. Finally, I really enjoy evenings spent on the back patio, grilling and just enjoying the Tucson nights.
The Isabella is located on a quiet street with historical buildings all around. I really enjoy walking my two dogs around to see the sights. The food in the neighborhood is terrific, Coffee at Exo Roast Co., breakfast at Five Points Market or the Meyer Avenue Cafe, dinner at the Coronet, El Minuto Cafe or Cafe Desta. She is also an easy .7 mile walk to the light rail taking you to the University of Arizona campus. Continue a couple of blocks on Cushing Ave and you are right in the midst of Tucson Gem Show activities. As a cyclist, I can be on The Loop (one of America's best bike paths) in a mile, go climb the "A" mountain, road bike Gates Pass or ride the extensive MTB trails in Tucson Mountain Park. Finally, when I'd rather just sit and reflect, Parque De Orlando y Diego Mendoza is right on the corner next to Ochoa Court.
