Perfect for remote workers or city folk looking for a summer getaway on the beach yet not too far from home. Train to NYC is 5 minutes away. (Stony Brook)

BASK in the panoramic views of Port Jefferson Harbor from an expansive covered porch situated atop an 80’ bluff. Steps lead below to a private sandy beach with a rustic boathouse just a few feet from the water's edge. The boathouse is equipped with a fridge, cold water shower, beach chairs, two kayaks and a stand up paddle board. Water is calm- you can float and swim.

Back up at the house, pour yourself a cup of coffee and be delighted as you watch the sun rise over the harbor. Dine al-fresco on the porch overlooking the water. After hours, turn the lights off, stargaze and watch the moon reflect on the water and think about what a wonderful life you have.

A breath-taking stay

The house is well maintained and clean. Anything you might need is there and none of the extra things you don't need. The sunset view is amazing and so relaxing but the sunrise view is my favorite. The host is great, easy to contact and quick to respond for any questions or concerns. This place is amazing with lots of seating outside and the view ... well, breath-taking! The private beach area was great too. The available water gear, kayaks and stand up paddleboard were just so perfect to have and use in a place like this. Caution is needed when using the steps to the beach though. This stay was worth every star it has. This place is amazing! Thank you again for sharing your home.

Peace on a Porch

Beautiful house with a wonderful view!

This house was exactly what we were looking for and exactly what we expected! An incredibly charming 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house with all of the amenities you could ask for! Great view of the LI sound with a great outdoor patio and steps down to the beach. Air conditioned to survive the hot temperatures and minutes from Port Jefferson. A wonderful find, and a terrific experience!

Beautiful, cozy, & scenic!

This home was perfect for my family's weekend get away! Thresea the owner was very helpful and responsive. The location is unbeatable. A gorgeous view from the back deck and private beach access kept us entertained all day! We will definitely be back here!

Very Special place , being on the water was so peaceful and inviting.

Me and my two grade school buddies , rented for the weekend the beach bungalow was so adorable. We took paddle board and kayaks to pirates cove . It was quit an adventure. We absolutely adored this home . Thank you .

Unforgettable View

We spent the 4th there. Watched the fireworks from the cozy porch with astonishing view of the bay. The private beach is a must. The boat house equipped with fridge and shower makes it even more pleasant. Theresa is an amazing hostess.

This home has been in our family for three generations. My grandparents purchased it when it was 2 separate units in the 70's and took on professors at Stony Brook University as tenants. Years later they made the home into a single family residence and moved there year round. I have been coming here to Poquott and relishing it's uniqueness since I was 5 years old. We now have three grown children and just had our1st grandchild. If you love the beach and quiet, this cottage will not disappoint. It is a special place that is near and dear to my heart.

The MESMERIZING view. Peaceful - yet the activity on the harbor always gives you something to look at. The beach down below with our own private, primitive, original boathouse is unique. The quiet neighborhood completes it.
