Welcome to our charming historic home, built in 1810. located in the heart of Stony Brook Village!

On the first floor, you`ll discover a powder room and a well-appointed living space that seamlessly blends the old and the new. The original furniture adds a touch of nostalgia and character to the house, creating a truly authentic experience.
The second floor boasts three comfortable bedrooms, full bathroom and a laundry room on this floor.

Welcome to our charming historic home, built in 1810, where every step feels like a journey into the past. This unique property has lovingly preserved its original character, offering guests a truly authentic old-world experience. The expansive wrap-around porch invites you to unwind and take in the serene surroundings, while the spacious living room, featuring a cozy fireplace radiates warmth and timeless elegance.

Pass through stunning antique double doors into a generous den or family room, which can also serve as a peaceful office space, complete with a convenient half bathroom. The formal dining room, with its redwood floors and charming built-in corner cabinets, provides the perfect setting for sharing meals in a space rich with history.

Upstairs, three beautifully preserved bedrooms await, along with a full bathroom that maintains the vintage charm of the home. With two staircases and endless character around every corner, this home offers a truly nostalgic experience. Whether you`re seeking a relaxing escape or a base to explore the area, our historic home promises a peaceful, memorable retreat, capturing the timeless spirit of a bygone era.

Stony Brook Village Center

Picture a quaint village with cute shops, cozy cafes, and restaurants with beautiful views of the harbor. It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll, some shopping, or grabbing a bite to eat while you enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.

Avalon Park & Preserve

If you love nature, this is the spot for you. Avalon Park offers scenic walking trails, ponds, and peaceful gardens. It`s a great place to go for a hike, do some birdwatching, or just unwind in the fresh air.

The Long Island Museum

A must-see for history and art lovers, this museum offers a mix of fascinating exhibits. The highlight is their impressive collection of horse-drawn carriages, but there’s also American art and local history to explore.

The Stony Brook Grist Mill

The Carriage Museum at The Long Island Museum

The Carriage Museum houses one of the most extensive collections of horse-drawn vehicles in the U.S. This museum gives you a glimpse into transportation and life in the 19th century.
Over 200 carriages and horse-drawn vehicles are displayed, from elegant coaches to everyday wagons, each with its own story. It’s fascinating to see how transportation evolved and learn about the role carriages played in everyday life.
The museum also includes interactive exhibits, allowing visitors to experience what riding in these carriages might have been like. Many of the vehicles on display have been beautifully restored, showing incredible craftsmanship and detail. In addition to the carriages, the museum offers exhibits on the people who made, used, and maintained these vehicles, shedding light on 19th-century craftsmanship and transportation.

The Country House Restaurant

This historic restaurant offers a unique dining experience. Known not just for its delicious food but also its rich history, this restaurant is set in a 1700s colonial home and is rumored to be haunted!
The Country House serves a mix of contemporary and traditional American cuisine, focusing on farm-to-table ingredients. It`s a great spot for a special dinner or cozy lunch.
The restaurant’s decor maintains the home’s historic charm, with old fireplaces, original wood beams, and vintage furnishings, making it a truly immersive experience.
Haunted Legends: One of the most intriguing aspects of The Country House is its ghostly reputation. Guests and staff have reported sightings and strange occurrences, adding a bit of mystery to your meal. Whether you’re a believer or not, it’s a fun story that adds to the experience.
The restaurant goes all out for holidays, especially during the fall and Christmas seasons, with beautiful decorations that create a warm, festive atmosphere.

Port Jefferson East Main Street

This charming main street is packed with boutiques, galleries, cafes, and restaurants. It’s the perfect place for a leisurely afternoon of shopping and exploring. Browse through local shops selling everything from clothing to handmade crafts. Stop in for coffee or a sweet treat at one of the cozy cafes.

Pirate’s Cove

If you`re up for a bit of adventure, Pirate’s Cove is a hidden gem of a beach with dramatic cliffs and scenic views. It`s a bit off the beaten path but worth the trip for a quiet beach day.
There are trails that lead up to the cliffs for great views of the harbor.
It’s less crowded than the main beaches, offering a peaceful spot to relax.

Old Westbury Gardens

Old Westbury Gardens is a stunning 200-acre estate featuring a grand mansion surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens, ponds, and woodlands. Once the home of the Phipps family, it offers visitors a chance to explore the Gilded Age luxury, with guided tours, seasonal events, and picturesque walking paths that make it a perfect spot for a peaceful afternoon.

Castle Gould at Sands Point Preserve

Castle Gould, part of the Sands Point Preserve, is a striking castle-like mansion built in the early 1900s. While it was originally intended as a stable and carriage house, its medieval-inspired architecture is impressive. Visitors can tour the grounds, walk the nature trails, and explore the nearby Hempstead House, another mansion on the preserve, which offers even more history and charm.

Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium

The Vanderbilt Museum, located in Centerport, combines history, science, and art all in one place. The former estate of William K. Vanderbilt, it features fascinating exhibits on natural history, marine life, and global artifacts collected by the family. The on-site planetarium offers immersive shows about space and astronomy, making it a fun and educational stop for visitors of all ages.


Oheka Castle

Oheka Castle is one of Long Island’s most iconic landmarks, blending historic grandeur with luxury. Built in the 1920s by financier Otto Hermann Kahn, this magnificent French château-style mansion sits on over 100 acres of beautiful gardens and grounds. Once a lavish retreat for the elite, it’s now a popular venue for weddings, events, and upscale getaways. Visitors can tour the stunning estate, enjoy fine dining at the on-site restaurant, or simply take in the opulent architecture and rich history that make Oheka Castle a truly unforgettable destination.
