Three generations, from 11 months old to 81, enjoyed their stay. There were activities for all of them and plenty of comfortable space to enjoy each other’s company-and the pool was especially nice during our stay in the heatwave! We would certainly recommend the home and its attentive owners.

Third time we have stayed in five years. Perfect for 8 adults and 6 kids 5 yrs to 10. We always plan side trips but kids never want to leave. Activities for kids galore. Mo is a great host, prompt communication and a problem solver. Very clean and well maintained for such a big property.

The house had everything we needed. The house was so clean and it is well built and quiet, allowing for lots of privacy. Very clean, plenty of bath and pool towels. The game room was a big hit and of course the pool. Would rent again for sure.

I don’t think pictures do the space justice. This would be a great space for a large family vacation. So much stuff to do at the home, you’ll never be bored.Also, the best pillows I have ever used! I wish I could have brought them home with me.

Beautiful house and glorious pool! Game room was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids. House was 30 minutes away from most of our destinations via some steep country roads so we burned some gas, but it was manageable. Wish we could have had a few visitors as we were in the area for a reunion and we found it challenging to find air-conditioned places to meet with my family members (we knew this was a limitation when we chose the house). One thing to be aware of is that the basketball court rim is only a single bounce away from expensive and unprotected windows which are easily broken (You can imagine how we know this…). The host was gracious and responded promptly every time we reached out.

Regarding the basketball court and window, in nearly 15 years of hosting, we have never had a window broken from use of the basketball court. Unfortunately, during this stay the window was completely shattered, rather than simply cracked. We appreciated working together toward a resolution and agreed to split the replacement cost with you. Thank you again for staying with us, and we’re glad your family enjoyed the property overall.

Our family loved staying at this beautiful property! We stayed 4 nights and wished we could stay longer. We have 9 guests, including 5 kids ages 7-14. They all really enjoyed all of the games and the pool. So many things to explore and do on the property, they were all spending a lot of time playing. The kitchen was fully stocked with almost any tool you need, the grill was great, we used the fire pit, easy to use pool and hot tub settings, plus there were available cleaning supplies where needed. There are so many spaces to gather together around the property. It’s in a quiet neighborhood. Far but not too far from San Diego. We traveled to the zoo one day and to La Jolla another day. The hosts were quick in responding and answering any questions we had. They even recommended a local meat market that had some amazing steak for the grill. There’s a wonderful coffee shop in town with super nice staff as well (rise and shine)I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet retreat with lots on site to keep everyone entertained.

Peaceful Retreat

We had three families for spring break and it was a wonderful property for that. The kids spent endless hours in the pool, and it was close enough to San Diego that we could enjoy the zoo, Seaworld and the Safari Park with little effort. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was wonderful! The house was beautiful, had plenty of beds/bedrooms, and bathrooms. It also had everything we needed (and everything was clearly labeled). We thoroughly enjoyed the property! The pool was amazing, and we loved all the other amenities! The pool table was a huge hit with our teenage boys :). We had decided to rent this house instead of somewhere closer to downtown San Diego because we could get more bang for our buck (so many amenities at this house, and such a big property!!). When we arrived, and started spending time at various activities in San Diego, we realized how thankful we were to have a quiet, peaceful property to retreat to after busy days in the chaotic city. There’s no light pollution in Ramona, so we could see tons of stars. It was so quiet, we could hear all the nature sounds (crickets, coyotes in the distance, etc). There were lots of small lizards in the area, and we even saw several vultures perched on the fence down the road. It was fun to see all the flora & fauna in the area! Would definitely stay here again! PS: the Oasis Camel Dairy in Ramona is a hidden gem, and well worth visiting! (Thank you for listing it as a suggestion!)
