Retro Lakehouse - A Touch of Cabo, Vacation Paradise on Lake LBJ

(Please, no pets :-) Enjoy the huge stunning view of the Llano River arm of Lake LBJ with floor to ceiling windows set in a renovated retro-modern 60’s lake cabin, with 1132 square feet of living space set on 150′ of lake front! Now with free Level 2, 48 amp, EV charging! It's located on the best part of Lake LBJ, a constant-level lake, and perfect for all types of watersports. House has a modern front-loading washer and dryer. Boat dock pier has 2 pairs of mooring whips that safely secure most any boat or PWC. Neighborhood boat ramp is two doors over, which provides easy access to launch and retrieve your watercraft. 3 adult-size kayaks, 1 child-size kayak, life jackets in all sizes, beach towels as well as a "LillyPad/Frogmat" are provided. Large sunscreen-covered back deck includes both a BBQ gas grill and a large Blackstone 36" gas griddle. The gigantic backyard has a large shady lakeside "Palapa" (tiki hut) with ceiling fans. Lots of parking in front of the house for cars and trailers. A watercraft rental company is about 1 minute away, along with an HEB grocery store 5 minutes away.
Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed and a suitcase alcove. Bedroom 2 has a queen-size bed and a 2-bed bunk-bed. It has a large closet containing a washer-dryer, life-jackets and plenty of storage space for suitcases. The Great Room has 2 full-size sofa sleepers. The two bathrooms are accessible to everyone, being off of the Great Room. The house has a maximum capacity of sleeping 6 people.
Combine all of this inside of an extremely clean, open, retro-modern concept house, and it's and easy choice for your next vacation rental!

Property was just as described! Everything you would need for a relaxing vacation. Sitting under the cabana by the water was so relaxing! Great stay!

This is by far the best place we have stayed. The owners are so kind and have the property set up perfectly. They have everything you could ask for set up and ready to go. We will be making this trip yearly now!

Great Stay at a Touch of Cobo

We had an amazing stay at this property. Chris was very kind and helpful all throughout the stay. Beautiful view of the lake! Definitely want to come back in the summer!

Perfect place to relax

We loved the property on the quiet part of the river. The place has everything you need. The owners were so nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Great couple of nights; pictures don’t do this place and backyard justice, it was awesome. Chris, owner/property manager, was extremely engaged and helpful!

Fun lake weekend

Great property on a great spot on the lake. Good swimming area. And dock fishing. Nice yard and home is well kept! Owner was very helpful and responsive.

Fun stay

We really enjoyed our stay Very nice layout. Very large living room is a great area for food and games We lost something on our trip and emailed owner and they look over the house thoroughly. Come to find out it was in a different bag. Would definitely stay here again

Kingsland stay

It was wonderful. Right on the water. Great views from inside and outside the house. We had happy hour under the cabana and watched the sun set. Coffee on the deck in the mornings. We grilled burgers on one of the excellent grills provided. Overall such a wonderful weekend!

Incredible Home and Location

We enjoyed staying at the Retro Lake House! We opened the door and everyone was amazed at the view. The home has everything you need for a great vacation. We checked into the house and didn’t leave for three days except for boating. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you needed . Chris and Debbie are wonderful hosts. We loved getting to visit with them.

Loved this rental!

This was the perfect rental for my family of 5! All the basic necessities you could need, and then some. The owner was so nice and helpful. We rented a boat and he came to help us with the mooring whips because we had never used them. Such a cute little house in a great area of the lake! It was so peaceful in the mornings and afternoons! The beds were comfy, too! 5 stars from us!

Great Location

Beautiful views, deck and yard leading to waterfront; enjoyed the kayaks & lifejackets( lots of sizes!). We enjoyed the gas grill plus large gas griddle! We had everything we could need! The bedroom with bunk beds & regular bed is cramped size ( no place to hang clothes due to full of life jackets hanging). The 2 bathrooms are small and open into the main living space.

Thanks Patricia! We’re happy that you and your guest enjoyed your time at Retro Lakehouse and appreciate your input. We do maintain two of every size (including infant) of high-quality neoprene life jackets to accommodate all our prospective guests. The do take up most of the space on the 8’ long hanger rod. However, based on your feedback, we were able to rearrange the life jackets on the 8’ long hanger in the guest closet to ensure 2’ of hanger space for guests using that bedroom. While we could increase the space in east bedroom, we would either have to change out the queen-size bed for a full-size or remove the bunk beds. Neither is an ideal option for the variety of guests that we host. The best solution we could come up with is to ensure there was enough space on either side of the queen bed for folks to comfortably navigate. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any other suggestions/ideas for improving your stay in the future! Chris & Debbie
