We're glad the house was a comfortable fit for your family and that you found everything clean and ready for your stay! The location does make it pretty convenient to spend time around Bishop Arts and head downtown without a long drive. We know the surrounding neighborhood wasn't quite your cup of tea, and that's understandable since everyone has their own idea of what makes an area feel right. We’re sorry this stay missed the mark. We understand that arriving to a home that did not feel fully ready can be frustrating, and that is never the first impression we want for any guest. We do want to be fair about a few points. Our team stayed in touch and worked on the reported items as they came up, including getting the missing supplies delivered and following up on the yard concern. For the road work, that kind of city or neighborhood construction is outside of our control and can happen without advance notice to the property, so it was not something we intentionally withheld. Regarding the person who dropped off the supplies, that is not feedback we have received before, but we still took it seriously. We never want anyone to feel uncomfortable, so the concern was documented and will be reviewed. We wish this had been a better fit, but we appreciate you sharing the feedback and we’ll use it to tighten up the areas that need it.

We’re sorry the arrival felt like a lot all at once. There were a few moving pieces happening around the property at the same time, including city-managed roadwork outside the home and a yard schedule that had been pushed back after a stretch of heavy rain. The construction itself was outside our control, but we still worked to get more information so we could better set expectations, and we continued coordinating the regular property services that were within our control. Once you reached out, we started working through the concerns one by one and offered to inspect the home, arrange exterior and pest follow-up, and see what could realistically be handled during the reservation. Because your group chose to relocate shortly after arrival, we didn’t get the chance to fully verify every item onsite while the stay was still active, though we completely respected that decision. We also provided compensation afterward and used the experience to add more context to the listing so future guests have a clearer picture if there’s temporary city work or anything unusual happening nearby. Not every part of the arrival was something we could control, but we did our best to respond quickly, work through what we could, and make sure the feedback didn’t just disappear into the ether.
