Beautiful cabin, very clean and spacious and easy check-in . Clear communication with the Host who was very friendly and accommodating. Loved that the river was within walking distance for evening fishing and Pinecrest Lake is only about less than 5 minutes away. Perfect getaway with the family , can’t wait to plan our next trip there!

One Of the Best!

This was such a great cabin to stay at! The hosts were very accommodating. Everything was incredibly clean and well stocked. The location is perfect for walks and they have a beautiful back patio to enjoy. The hosts really have put in a lot of effort to make it a wonderful stay.

House with a welcome

This is second time at this house and enjoyed it both times. Clean and well stocked which was so convenient. Short walk to river and boys went fishing. Definitely would stay again- thank you

Great location! Neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet. So close to the river, Pinecrest Lake, Dodge Ridge and the Strawberry Market and Lodge folks are super friendly! We took our 7 month old labrador puppy with us and the fully enclosed back yard was excellent! Our only disappointment was that the stove and oven were both very dirty, but everything else was spotless! We definitely will be back - hopefully sooner than later!!!

Amazing cabin community home!

Warm and Inviting stay in Strawberry

We loved this home! It was not only beautiful inside and out but 100% functional and comfortable. Nothing is missing from this stay and I could easily stay here again for longer! The beds were very comfortable. The living room and kitchen layout perfect for gathering. The outdoor area was excellent for our dogs being fully fenced. Loved this home!

This home could not have been more perfect! It had a lovely backyard area that created the most wonderful family gathering spot. Everything was new and fresh and the owners had every amenity you could possibly want. We were even welcomed with a personal note and a basket filled with snacks! The kids had a ball in the game room and the adults enjoyed visiting both inside and out. We will be back!

Family Winter Vacation

Overall Experience for our two day stay was amazing. We needed R and R and this was the place! The walk to the river, experiencing the snowfall and roasting smores was phenomenal. The home has all the essentials you need: cooking utensils, towels, snow toys, blankets, wood for the fireplace, propane was available. We traveled to Leland Meadows Snow Park, which it was a short drive. Cleanliness/housekeeping- the reason I gave this a 3/5 stars was because we sweeped the backyard and wished the home had more items to use such as: trashbags, toilet paper, paper towels, cordless vacuum, pizza cutter. Thankfully we brought extras of trashbags, toilet paper, paper towels... Once again- it was a great home and we would visit again!

Great for large group of people

Really nice house. Very clean. Lots of space and enough beds for people to sleep on. There were 6 of us and we all slept comfortably. My favorite part was the backyard. It is a nice getaway to relax if you still want the homey feel but be surrounded by nature.

Perfect Lake Getaway

This rental has it all: incredible decor and comfort, everything you could think of needing, super close location to Pinecrest Lake, fun fire pit, and lots to do if staying in and relaxing. It was also incredibly clean and organized. We had an incredible weekend stay and made some super fun memories. The level of comfort this rental provided was a cut above from what I've experienced coming up to this area previously. No more hot A-frame attics with random linens on makeshift bedframes! The little details were the most impressive: provided shampoo and conditioner, sharp kitchen knives, lots of board games, fans and air purifiers, extra towels, and an extremely organized welcome binder with local recommendations. The Old Strawberry sign over the wet bar was incredibly cute and a great photo background. The only thing that would have made this stay beyond perfect was just a head's up that scented detergents were used on the sheets. I have fragrance allergies and didn't think to ask ahead of time as most other rentals I've experienced use unscented. Airflow, the air purifier, and allergy meds kept me comfortable. It would also have been great to know to bring propane for the fire pit in the listing- Kristen sent that info in the welcome message a day before but just would have made packing that much easier to know to ditch my tub of firewood and throw a tank in the back of the car. I would not hesitate to book again if coming to the area with a larger party and have already gushed and sent pictures to many friends and family.

Tranquil retreat

The house is wonderfully cared for and is in a great setting. The outside seating and lighting allows for long relaxing visits in the clear air. The area is incredible. We stopped at the local store and restaurant just down the street and everyone was welcoming. Great place to relax.

Family Strawberry Vacation

Our family of seven gathered at this property for a vacation. The house was beautifully decorated and had all of the comfort amenities we needed. Large kitchen to share cooking, and a large table to gather for meals and playing games. We loved the backyard for relaxing and enjoying the patio lights. Great location to Pinecrest Lake and the near by river. A gem of a place!

The Perfect Peaceful Cabin!

Look no further! Kristen and Taka’s cabin is the cutest, most quaint and tranquil place to stay nestled in the woods! The cabin itself is stocked with all the necessities to have a great time! The cabin is a quick 5 min drive to Pinecrest/Dodge Ridge! We took our St. Bernard with us who enjoyed the lake and fenced in backyard at the cabin! It was comforting to have him off leash and still enjoy the outdoors! The back patio was where we spent our evenings and the only advice I have is pack bug spray since there’s mosquitoes, in the summer months at least! We struggled to plug the lights in out in the patio so we messaged Kristen who responded right away and we got them plugged in and working (hint: go at an angle). The decor was tasteful and Kristen was sweet enough to send me the link to where she got the wallpaper in the mud room! We cannot wait to come stay again soon!

I spent much of my childhood at Pinecrest Lake and surrounding areas, so sharing our mountain home with others is a joy.

I'm passionate about design, photography, and creating memorable experiences–which is why Airbnb hosting is a dream for me. My husband is outdoorsy, an excellent cook, and loves board games. Together, we are obsessed with traveling, no matter what chance we get. We find joy in experiencing different cultures, trying new foods, and connecting with people worldwide.

When we aren't on the go, we love supporting our sports teams, San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and San Francisco 49ers, and spending time with our lovable fur babies.

Strawberry is a tiny, serene community along the Stanislaus River. Enjoy walks through the forest and short strolls to the Stanislaus River, just outside your front door. Drive two minutes to Pinecrest Lake and a few more miles to Dodge Ridge for winter snow sports. The whole family will love Leland High Sierra Snowplay in the winter, which is also a few minutes away. Strawberry has an excellent market for your needs and is within reach of countless beautiful hiking trails.
