Riverfront Luxury Cabin, Dodge Ridge, Fraise, Pinecrest

Situation spectaculaire, rivière, au milieu de l'un des plus beaux plans d'eau blanche en Californie - petites plages tranquilles le long de la rivière. Très proche de Pinecrest et Dodge Ridge. Fraise avec la branche sud de la rivière Stanislaus qui le traverse et sa grande prairie est un joyau idyllique. Overlook est très privée avec rivière en face et de la forêt sur deux côtés. Il est bien nommé et a été totalement rénové en 2004. Tous les conforts de créature encore vivante de la cabine. Avec Overlook vous obtenez tout: beauté naturelle, eau vive, la vie privée, le confort, ne importe quelle saison de l'année.

White Christmas

From the moment we opened the front door, we were amazed at the view. The snow on the trees and running water of the river below made it picture perfect! The common area was cozy, and the home was large enough for us to also spread out. The game room was a lot of fun! We enjoyed spirited poker games, ping pong and pool! We will definitely be back! Wonderful Stay!

Dennis' cabin is amazing! Super clean, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen. The kids had a great time playing pool and walking down to the river. We'd definitely stay again.

Big and beautiful

We love this house and its location near Pinecrest lake. It’s large living and kitchen area are very nice. Well kept up and nicely situated among sugar pine and cedar trees overlooking the river.

Family Vacation

We absolutely love the Overlook cabin. It’s nestled into a very quiet court on the Stanislaus river. There are so many things to do in the area. We enjoyed the lake, hiking, fishing, river walks, and having a beautiful place to relax in. The overlook had all of the amenities we needed. Sitting on the deck in the early mornings watching the sun come up over the river, priceless.

Always Enjoyable

We love staying at Overlook. This is the second year we have visited, to this the Overlook, and plan to continue more years in the future. Wonderful Stay

Our family enjoyed another peaceful and relaxing stay at this great property! Dennis is a terrific host and the cabin was perfect for our get-away to the mountains. The river was so high this year! We loved seeing and hearing the rush of water while sitting on the deck. Wonderful long weekend!

Wonderful Cabin

We had a wonderful first stay at the Overlook Cabin. The house was very clean and comfortable. While the river was extremely high and cold and not possible to get into it provided a wonderful backdrop for our stay. We will be back!

Overlook Cabin in Strawberry

We enjoyed our week at the Overlook Cabin in mid-May. Great location, the cabin is right above the S. Fork of the Stanislaus River. River was running high and fast with record Sierra snow melt, we could see and hear it clearly as it roared by. House had everything we needed and plenty of hiking is available right outside the door or within a few miles. Will definitely be back.

Birthday Weekend

We had another wonderful trip at the Overlook. This is at least the fourth time that we have stayed there and it is always wonderful. We did lose power for a few hours on Saturday morning, but made the best of it:). Be back in July.:). Thanks Dennis

Listen to the River

My husband, adult daughter and I had a wonderful 3-night stay at Overlook Cabin. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The absolute highlight of this cabin is its location, perched above the beautiful south fork of the Stanislaus River. We could scramble down to the river’s edge and take a lovely stroll through the forest, right from the door of the cabin. We hated to leave. Highly recommended!

Overlook!!!

This is a truly beautiful cabin set just above the Stanislaus River. The setting is gorgeous and the cabin was perfect for our family. The pine wood paneling is beautifully done with loads of natural light and huge windows to take in the natural beauty that surrounds this gem. Dennis was easy to communicate with. A stones throw from the mountain for skiing with easy access making for long enjoyable days on the slopes. We will definitely be back. We’ve stayed a number of places in the area over the years for winter ski trips and The Overlook is by far our fav. Thanks so much for a memorable week! Can’t wait to return!!!

Beautiful setting

Great property, privacy yet close to stream,lake and stores.Had 2 days where upstairs gas range would not lite up.Cleaning people where very late.We didnt get in until 5 pm but they were very nice and did a good job with the cleaning.It was a very peaceful stay,loved the sound of the river nearby.

Overlook is Divine

I love Strawberry and the Overlook Cabin. Beside the fact that it is really a gorgeous cabin, totally outfitted with everything you’d need with top of the line stuff, it is in a wonderful setting with the beautiful Stanislaus River flowing by. My only quibble is that Verizon coverage was very spotty and there is no internet. Once you accept that, it is heaven!

Beautiful Cabin in the most Beautiful Forest

We loved our stay at Overlook!! The cabin was beautiful and clean. We’ve never had to bring our own sheets and towels, that was a bit weird. But there was plenty of paper goods and that was appreciated. The beds were all comfortable and it was perfect for our family. The decks were so nice to relax on. The summer storms some afternoons were so beautiful. Just know when you go that there are hardly any blinds, so you may want to bring a blanket or sheet to tack up. Also, the lights in the kitchen are quite dim. Blinds in the windows, brighter lights in the kitchen, and sheets/towels provided would make this the most perfect place EVER! Dennis was a fantastic host. Easy to communicate with and was so helpful with check in, etc. You will love your stay here. We’ll definitely be back.
