Our stay at Lickskillet was awesome. We got the full experience of mountain living, while also having everything you could want indoors. Our kids loved getting to listen to music on the record player, too. A really nice weekend for us all.
This property was in such a beautiful location. We saw many deer during our stay. The teens enjoyed playing downstairs on the ping pong table. The creek outback had such beautiful views, especially during sunrise. Our family really enjoyed staying here. We look forward to hopefully renting again in the future.
I stayed here with my husband and my two kids, ages 11 and 15. They LOVED the hot tub and the ping pong table. If I had to pick one word to describe the home it would be âthoughtfulâ. From the little notes all over the house to help the guests to the QR codes for directions on how to work the temperature control and the record player, nothing was overlooked. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The views were breathtaking from the home and we loved watching the cows, deer, and turkeys We enjoyed eating at the Snapdragon and drinking (and more eating!) at Home Place Brewery. There were a few gift shops near the restaurant where we grabbed souvenirs. All in all, a wonderful getaway!
If you looking for a quiet, for a peaceful and a clean house that is the right one!
I'm happy that I found this property for our mini-vacation. We really enjoyed staying here and for sure we will come again đ đ
Highly recommend đ đ
We had a wonderful time visiting this part of North Carolina. It is a lovely all mountain town and after a day out and about it was nice to return to this cozy home with a creek out back, build a camp fire and look at the stars. Very relaxing!
My family wanted to get away from our 110 degree heat for a mini weekend getaway. The house and property was everything we hoped for (perfect for both the sunny and rainy momenta), and the homeowner was kind amd responsive.
This is the best house!! Best for peace and relaxation if that is what you want. If you want fun/interesting things to do, this is a great location to access lots of things to do. This is my 5th stay in Lickskillet, including 2 times this summer and last summer. I love this house for many reasons
We had a wonderful time with family at Lickskillet Creek!!! The location is very peaceful, yet conveniently located for hiking, shopping, antiquing, gem mining, etc! The hosts have thought of everything to make for a comfortable stay indoors and outdoors.
This place is just beautiful, and the notes left by the host regarding the things like which light switch is which, how to use the hot tub, etc, were much appreciated! We can't wait to come back!
This home had everything we wanted in our mountain vacation. Creek, hot tub, views, and space. We also go SO MUCH MORE: Cows, friendly visits from dogs, barn quilts, game time, porch swing, and a beautiful yard/garden!
Great getaway space within driving distance to Asheville and the many other things North Carolina has to offer. The morning cup of coffee enjoyed by the creek was lovely.
Small tidy home in a lovely setting on a rural mountain road. Kids (4 and 5.5) loved playing in the creek and the hot tub and were delighted by the fireflies in the evening. Convenient to the delightful town of Burnsville only 10 minutes away. The dead end road made for a lovely - and safe - walk in the mornings. A nice stay!
Our family wanted a place we could relax and enjoy a slower pace of life but still be within 30 minutes of everything we love. This will be a retirement home some day but for now we are happy to share this sweet little spot on the creek.
Lickskillet Creek is a swiftly moving creek about 5-6 feet wide and at it's deepest it comes up to around you knees. This is a sweet holler with good people and beautiful mountains.
