Welcome to The Guides House, a cozy Adirondack retreat located right on Main Street — the perfect spot to soak in small-town charm while being close to everything.

Relax on the covered front porch, where comfy seating makes it easy to sip your coffee, fire up the propane grill, and watch the world go by — people, cars, and the energy of town right at your doorstep.

Inside, the home is warm and inviting with all linens, towels, and essentials provided. The kitchen is stocked for easy meals, and the living spaces are set up for comfort after a day of exploring. Upstairs you’ll find the bedrooms and the single full bathroom (please note: the only bathroom is upstairs).

Out back, enjoy a modest yard perfect for a little fresh air, and take advantage of off-street parking for two vehicles — a rare convenience right on Main Street.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. We were able to easily walk to all the shops and restaurants. We had all of the space and amenities and parking that we needed. Jason was very helpful and responsive. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

We had a very nice stay at The Guides House and would not hesitate to book there again. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond when we reached out to him. The house was both clean and comfortable. We did have a little trouble with the lockbox but with a little perseverance were able to get it to work. A very positive experience.

I don’t even know where to start. It was suppose to have air conditioning in all the bedrooms and was missing one. It was suppose to have a double futon in the sitting area but it was only a couch and when I looked underneath the cushions it was loaded with wrappers and crap from other people. I contacted Jason and he promptly brought over an air conditioner and a single mattress. The stove didn’t work and we brought special food to bake in the oven because a member of my family has special dietary needs and therefore can only eat special food. We did what we could with the grill he provided and we had to throw out the rest. I contacted him that the propane ran out and he NEVER brought another tank. Also, he was going to come and look at the stove and he never showed. I asked him repeatedly and he decided to ghost me. The upstairs was so dirty! The shower head was disgusting, not enough stocked towels and the porch is falling apart and is very unsafe if u have young children. The porch off the bedroom upstairs was loaded with leaves and filthy. There were also broken blinds and no curtain or blind in the one bedroom. We talked with the neighbors and they said the owners are not good and the people they rent out to always have parties and maybe that’s why it was so dirty. We are clean people and I hope I didn’t bring home any bugs from that place! I read the reviews from earlier but we think he had friends write them because this place was UNSAFE, dirty and gross!

Great spot to be close to town. We were able to cook meals and watch tv when we weren’t visiting town or hiking. Jason is very responsive and made it very easy to stay there. The temps dropped below zero and the house was perfectly toasty. Although they supply sheets and towels, etc., I’d advise bringing your own. Along with blankets and pillows. We brought our own and glad because I didn’t see any pillow cases. All in all, I’d recommend. It fulfills basic needs for a quick stay. We were there 3 nights.

Hospitality has always been second nature to me — I manage several properties in the area and take pride in making each stay smooth, clean, and comfortable. You’ll always find the house well-stocked with linens and essentials, and I’m only a call away if you need recommendations or help during your stay.

When I’m not working on the rentals, I’m usually with my kids, out on the lake, or lending a hand around town. Hosting is more than just business for me — it’s about helping people feel welcome and making sure they leave with great memories of their time in the Adirondacks.

I look forward to hosting you at The Guides House — and I’ll do everything I can to make sure your stay feels easy, cozy, and connected to this special place.

As someone who grew up here with my family, I love being able to share that perfect mix of small-town charm and Adirondack wilderness right outside the door.
