Added to our portfolio in April 2022, Blue Evo is a charming pet-friendly Santa Cruz vacation rental home easily walking distance to Corcoran Lagoon Beach, and dog-friendly 26th  Avenue Beach, minutes from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Yacht Harbor, and wonderful local restaurants, shopping and coffee houses in the neighborhood.



Stylish and thoughtfully remodeled, Blue Evo is a two+ bedroom, one bathroom, single-level home that sleeps four to six persons comfortably.  The sunny backyard is completely enclosed with a hot tub, outdoor shower with hot water, and also features a detached casita to serve as a quiet office for work meetings, or as an additional sleeping area.  The new kitchen is fully equipped for preparing your family's dinner, and the dining area can accommodate a dinner party for up to 6 people



Centrally located in mixed-use area in mid-town, the Blue Evo is just a 5 minute car ride, or 15 minute walk to Santa Cruz's best surf spots in Pleasure Point, Blue Evo offers everything you need for your home away from home, vacation or extended stay, complete with new kitchen appliances, high quality cookware, gas fireplace, two flat screen smart TVs  high-speed wireless Internet, private fenced backyard with hot tub and patio with table and chairs, BBQ and chase lounges for entertaining and/or relaxing.

Family trip

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Evo. It was a great location and home was super cute and clean. Kids loved the heated floors, adults loved the hot tub. We would definitely stay here again!

Great getaway

Enjoyed quiet, clean, and backyard privacy. It’s very short drive to beaches and Capitola. Enjoyed farmers market too on the weekend. Lovely place!

Great little getaway spot!

Nice clean house with spacious yard & great kitchen area! Heated floors were a nice touch! Everything you really need plus close to the beach! Would recommend this stay! There was an event space across the street with loud music, slightly annoying, but they finished up at a reasonable hour. Overall a pleasant stay.

Wonderful little spot

Very clean and new furniture/ appliances. There was an issue with the hot tub and they sent someone out same day to fix it. Owners very responsive and great. I’d definitely stay here again. And there are many beaches (including dog friendly) within a 10 min drive

Beach mornings

There was a lovely fake grass square and in the morning after I was done letting the dog use the bathroom, I'd do yoga on the turf. After my morning walks (with my dog)generally took me to twin lakes Beach and we really loved the cool climes. Many great coffee destinations within walking distance as well. Centrally located but with an adequate kitchen so you COULD make something if you wanted.

Nice place and location

Place was great for our family (self, wife, son, and dog). Location was good: close to beaches; situated between Twin Lakes area and 41st Ave restaurants and shops. Quiet street with not much traffic. Hot tub was terrific and easy to use. Backyard was a nice, private place to relax. Kitchen and bathroom both updated and modern (a few condiments in the kitchen would have been helpful, but with grocery stores nearby it was easy to get what we needed). Would definitely recommend for a family vacation.

Lovely for dogs and furparents

Extremely clean and well put together for pet families. Backyard perfect size to play catch and fence high enough for safety and privacy. No HVAC - we relied on fireplace and space heater for heat, which quickly kept us cozy during the storm. Our only complaint was the neighborhood- quiet but parking and driving is difficult. Be careful of speeders when backing out of driveway. Can’t see street from high bushes and cars blocking view.

Quiet gem near the beach!

We absolutely loved our stay at Blue Evo! House was perfect for our family getaway to Santa Cruz. The beds were super comfortable and the house was really quiet, bedrooms were spacious enough to fit our pack and play for our baby. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and we loved relaxing on the couch in the evenings - house has YouTube TV. I had to do some work during our stay and the internet is super fast in the house and in the casita in the back, which also has a nice desk and futon couch. Backyard is great for sunbathing and hot tub was a bonus. Less than 15 minute walk to the beach— loved watching the surfers at pleasure point. Driveway fits 2 cars. Easy check in process. We will definitely be returning - can’t wait to come back for our next stay!

Beware of Fleas

The property seemed clean and great for the days we were there. Upon arriving home, a few family members noticed a few bites on their bodies. Thinking it was bedbugs, we had our home inspected, but didn't find anything. So, we contacted the property. We were told, because it is pet friendly, there is a chance of it having fleas. They were very matter of fact about it and didn't seem to have empathy on how it affected us. It's unfortunate, as everything else about the place was nice.

Your allegations are completely erroneous. Prior to your arrival, the home owner's were at the property from 2/1 to 3/28 (no one on site until your arrival on 4/1) and the owners don't have dogs. Also, interesting that this is your first mention of fleas, since your previous story was that you contracted bed bugs from our property and had evidence to prove it. No evidence provided. No proof provided. Only threats. Other hosts: beware of scammers like this.

Underwhelmed

Remodel was done nicely but no landscape. Dry weeds for lawn. Sitting outside was not enjoyable. Spa guy showed up unannounced an hour after checkin time. Spa was still dirty when he left. Lots of ants everywhere, inside and outside. The kitchen faucet had a leak that got worse by the second day. The short walk noted in the ad was actually a 20min walk to the beach across and down a main busy road. Just not the rental I envisioned at the high price point for this weekend.

We are so sorry to learn that the Blue Evo did not meet with your expectations, Karen! Unfortunately, significant drought conditions have plagued landscaping efforts and we constantly battling rodents and ants throughout the County - but we've found that the ants stay at bay when food, etc. is left off of the counters. The spa is professionally serviced once week, typically on Tuesday's. We have addressed the leaky faucet that mentioned, and have timed the walk to nearby Corcoaran beach at just under 10 minutes! There is also parking available nearby too, in the case that guests are traveling with small children and/or beach gear.

Nice vacation getaway

The house is located in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, which offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house itself is clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Despite being a smaller home, it was more than sufficient for our family of three. The layout is functional and cozy, with plenty of natural light and a homey atmosphere. Although we experienced a slight hiccup during check-in due to a lock replacement, the communication with the managing company was smooth and easy. They were responsive to our needs and made sure that we were taken care of throughout the process. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time in the backyard. The yard is beautifully landscaped and offers a private and serene space to relax and unwind. The jacuzzi was a real treat and provided hours of fun and relaxation for our family. Overall, we had a wonderful experience staying in this house and would definitely recommend it to others. The combination of a peaceful location, clean and comfortable living space, and beautiful backyard make it a perfect choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
