As soon as you step into this delightful jewel-toned condo, you will immediately feel relaxed. Every detail of Shangri-La was designed with your vacation tranquility in mind: from the charming décor, to the amazingly comfortable furniture, to the alluring dining area and stone accents in the kitchen. This beautiful 2-Bedroom, 2-Bathroom unit is sure to delight with unforgettable views, a bright and welcoming paint scheme, and a convenient location that situates you perfectly in the middle of the amazing Outer Banks. And with the beach just a few steps away from your front door, you'll find yourself wanting to come back to Shangri-La again and again for the ultimate OBX retreat.

Take the flight of stairs up to the Main Level of this unit and get ready for a restful and relaxing OBX vacation. Step into the Living Area where you'll find a TV, perfect for watching movies on a rainy day, and plenty of cozy furniture to enjoy the sunrise coming in through multiple large windows and the glass sliders that lead out onto the Covered Oceanfront Deck. Enjoy easy breezy mornings out on the Deck with a warm cup of coffee as you enjoy the sunrise over the ocean and the brilliant sounds and smells of the sea wafting up from the ocean nearby. Back inside, whip up some fresh, local seafood in the spacious Kitchen with a Counter Bar that offers additional stool seating for two and modern, updated furniture that ensures a positive and fun cooking experience for the entire family. Eat together in the open-concept Dining Area where you can enjoy views of the ocean with your meal.

When you're ready to get some rest after a long and exciting day at the beach, make your way back to one of the two tastefully decorate bedrooms where you'll be able to rest and rejuvenate to get back out onto the sand. Get comfortable in the Queen Master Bedroom with its own Private Bathroom and Access to the Covered Oceanfront Deck. Pass by the conveniently-located Full Hallway Bathroom and you'll find the Bedroom with a Pyramid Bunk and cozy chair, making this the perfect spot for the kids to have a little bit of privacy during their vacation while keeping them close. When you're ready to head outside and enjoy some freshwater fun, the Sea Oats Condominiums Community Pool is the perfect place to cool off before cooking up something delicious in the Charcoal Grilling Area. The coin-operated Washer and Dryer are available downstairs in the Community Laundry Room when it's time to freshen up those beach towels before heading back upstairs.

When you stay at Shangri-La, you'll not only have a beautiful oceanfront condo, but you'll also be located in the middle of the OBX close to great restaurants, fun activities, and other local attractions. If you have a foodie in your group, be sure to check out Outer Banks Brewing Station or Rooster's Southern Kitchen for a tasty meal. For a quick lunch, Slice Pizzeria offers a great selection of different pizza pies and for dessert, you can pop over to the famous Duck Donuts in the same shopping center to enjoy a warm doughnut. For an outdoor adventure, head to Kitty Hawk Kites to try hang gliding, kiteboarding, or other fun water sports. The Wright Brothers National Monument is also nearby for the history buffs in your group. If you love fishing, be sure to head over to T.W.'s Bait & Tackle to get some gear and head out on the beach or a local charter to try your hand at reeling in the big one. Renters Beware

The location of the property is fantastic. Easy access to a beautiful beach. Nice private deck overlooking dunes. No beach view. Ok water view. That’s where the good ends. Property needs to be gutted and remodeled. It’s very dirty and falling apart. Duct tape on appliances, mold in the showers (we even had to replace the shower curtain because of mold), dirty pillows, uneven floors, toilet on an angle, broken tiles, we got locked out of the unit multiple times, the washer and dryers were broken so we had to use a laundry mat, pool deck needs to be redone etc, etc. We were extremely disappointed that we had spent so much much money on a until that had been dramatically misrepresented. We had insurance but they told us they couldn’t help us. We contacted VRBO and they told us they couldn’t help us. We contacted the property manager and initially they told us they couldn’t help us either. Fortunately we were finally able to find someone at the property management company that was willing to listen to our concerns. We were scheduled to stay for 7 nights but left after 4. It could be such a wonderful property but until it’s been updated I would encourage renters to beware.

Bad Unit Didn't Ruin Our Family Vacation

This property is in need of serious updates. Everything is outdated. There is duct tape on microwave. 5 plates and other mismatched cups, glasses, mugs. Floors are not level and feel like you will fall through in spots in kitchen and master bath. Master bath is extremely disappointing. Floors are not level and shower was disgusting, with black in it. My wife refused to use. Shower in shared bathroom was not much better, but the better of the 2. No instructions or directions in the place so no idea how to use anything. Been coming to the beach for over 20 years, and never had a place that didn't have something for guests about unit and area. WIFI instruction on refrigerator were wrong. Pictures on VRBO website did not show a true reflection of property. Ceiling is brown. Noticed a musty/moldy smell in unit when arrived. When looking in closets found AC unit and filter looked like it had not been cleaned in a year, even though spares were right next to it. The only overhead light in the whole unit is in kitchen. The unit had an office desk lamp for a dining area light. There is not much of a view, you can see the ocean over the dune, but not the beach. For the property the exterior upgrades are nice including the new steps out front, siding, and lift. The pool are needs serious help, one guy fell through the deck! Owner just uses property for cash cow. Needs to put money back into unit.
