We loved our stay at Rockhedge. The pictures really donât do the home justice. Theyâve done a great job of maintaining the historic home. The property is so convenient to RMNP as well as the main drag in Estes Park. Our boys loved the stay too. We spotted a marmot a few times on the rocks outside and a massive buck on our last morning. Definitely recommend and would stay here again.
Unforgettable Stay â Even Better Than the Photos!
This home was absolutely excellent, one of our best VRBO stays ever. The pictures truly donât do it justice. Itâs beautifully maintained, fully stocked with everything you could need, and in the perfect location just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes. Our kids absolutely loved the house and made countless playful âadventuresâ out of every nook and cranny. And the views? Letâs just say theyâre breathtaking⊠even from the bathroom. You havenât truly experienced the Rockies until youâve admired a mountain vista while sitting on the toilet. The owners were fantastic. They were responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely stay here again the next time weâre in town. Highly recommend!
The home was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was well stocked to suit our needs, very clean, and in a great location. Thank you for sharing your lovely historical home with us!
Really appreciate the communication of the owners and property manager. The location was so close to Estes Park, you could walk - if you donât mind the hills.
This home was perfect for our family of 5. Inside, every detail is thought of and it feels like home. Outside, you can enjoy frisbee golf or enjoy nature with a cup of coffee. Such a lovely place to stay.
Rockhedge is a beautiful, well maintained home! It is a home away from home and was perfect for our family. So close to all the restaurants and shops, too. We had a wonderful stay.
A wonderful property for our family of 4. This beautiful home is a historic gem updated with all of the modern amenities. Great location (walking distance to town and a short drive to RMNP). This was a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely recommend it for a relaxing and quiet
family getaway.
We enjoyed a nice October weekend at this beautiful house in Estes Park. Well cared, nicely furnished historic house with a well stocked kitchen. Very convenient location in town.
Great locationâwalking distance to town and short drive to RMNP. Loved the house. Spacious and comfortable for our family, and well-stocked. Everything exceeded expectationsâa perfect getaway in a perfect location!
We really enjoyed our stay. The property was as depicted, clean and well appointed. I especially loved the immense collection of cookbooks. My young nieces especially enjoyed scrambling over the boulders in the backyard and building a âsecretâ reading nook under the stairs. Highly recommend for a stay in Estes Park.
Beautiful, well-furnished house on 1+ acre, walking distance to town but in a very quiet location. Easy access to Fall River RMNP entrance. Attentive/responsive owners and maintenance crew. A sanctuary!
Fabulous, comfortable house. Well appointed kitchen. Excellent location. Everything you could want. We spent time reading, relaxing, hiking in RMNP, watching the wildlife. Wonderful vacation. Would stay again.
The home was exactly as listed and has loads of charm. My family was attending a wedding in Estes Park and it was a perfect location for us. We had a herd of elk that visited us two mornings which was very cool. Everyone greatly enjoyed the house.
Very well maintained and gorgeous home. It was so clean and inviting, felt like staying at someoneâs home vs. a rental. The neighborhood was quiet, and a short walk to downtown. Loved watching the wildlife right in the yard. Would absolutely stay here again!
I grew up in Estes, and graduated high school there many, many, many years ago. Rockhedge is how you want to do Estes Park and Rocky Mountain Natâl Park. Place is beautiful and in a great private location with possible wildlife sighting from your window ⊠We Will Be Back!!!
I am an East Coast girl from Connecticut who moved to Colorado with my family when my father was employed by IBM in Boulder 1966! I graduated from Estes Park High School and continue to love this community and the beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park. I realize what a great privilege it is to be located next to one our our nation's treasured parks!
My husband, Mark, and I lived in Santa Barbara for many years. While enjoying our time there, our attention was drawn to the Craftsman Style of Architecture including Prairie Style and the California Bungalow. We fell in love with this style of home and knew that someday we would find a property suitable for us to restore with the artistic integrity of this form of architecture. We knew it was Rockhedge as soon as we visited the home. Built in 1921 and situated on a beautiful lot; this was the perfect place for us to restore in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
This home is warm and welcoming, thoughtfully renovated with attention to detail. This is a favorite quote of our's by Frank Lloyd Wright: 'A Building should appear to grow easily from its site and be shaped to harmonize with its surroundings if nature is manifest there, and if not, try to make it as quiet, substantial, and organic as she would have done were the opportunity hers.'
We hope that you feel at home here. We are happy to share our interpretation of the Arts & Crafts architecture and philosophy with you. We know that you will enjoy the natural surroundings of this home, the easy access to the shops and restaurants of our charming mountain village and our spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park!
