This beautiful mountain home is an easy, half-mile walk to downtown Estes Park, steps away from a free trolley stop, and less than a 10 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park! With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a sofa sleeper. Sitting across from the Big Thompson River with 360 degree mountain views. Enjoy preparing home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen or on the gas grill on the front deck. The living room has plenty of natural light and lots of windows to take in the serene views. Another large deck provides a quiet space to gather for meals or to relax after a day of outdoor activities. Newly installed stone patio and gas firepit. Spend your evenings under the stars and the warm glow of the firepit.

This home has a main level master queen bedroom and a full bathroom. The Livingroom offers a sofa sleeper. Downstairs is a queen bedroom, a multi purpose room with TV, Games, books and work space, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a laundry room. There is a pack-n-play available for those traveling with a baby.

You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times is 6 guests and 2 vehicles, strictly enforced. No Pets, No Smoking. The person renting/name on the account must be present.

This home is fully stocked with bed linens, towels, extra blankets, soaps and shampoo. The kitchen has pots, pans and dishes plus silverware. A standard coffee maker, toaster, blender, crock pot too. A washer and dryer with laundry pods to use.

This home is managed by Rocky Mountains Property Services, a family owned and operated business local to Estes Park.

Rocky Mountain National Park will implement another pilot temporary timed entry permit reservation system from May 23 through October 20, 2025. If you plan on visiting Rocky Mountain National Park during your stay please visit their website for details about reservations.

Great place close to everything

We loved our stay. The cabin was very well equipped for cooking. Also close enough to town to walk or take the trolley which has a stop very close by. We enjoyed coffee on the deck looking at Longs peak. Great vacation. Good communication with the owner Renee.

Charming cottage close to town

Renee’s cottage is updated, warm, and cozy! The property was clean and well stocked for our stay. It’s close enough to downtown Estes Park that you can easily walk to shops and restaurants. We loved our stay, and may even visit again soon!

Wonderful stay in Estes Park

We very much enjoyed our stay. Property is well maintained and equipped with many of the comforts of home. Excellent location. A huge Elk Bull roams the neighborhood and we enjoyed observing him from a safe distance.

Family vacation

The cabin was a little cozy for us, but the kitchen is well equipped, the location is on the walkway and trolley line right on the edge of the downtown area, and is still in quiet neighborhood with great views. In a town with a lot of options this one checks many boxes for an excellent vacation spot.

Very clean property, updated with nice amenities, in a perfect location. Worked well for our family of 4. Space was tight, especially the sleeping arrangements with two teen boys. But, doable for a short stay and trade off is the easy walk into town, privacy, and more!

Great location to Rocky Mountain National Park

This house was perfect for our family of four visiting Estes and Rocky Mountain National Park. It had everything we needed and we enjoyed the fire pit at night. The location is great, close to downtown and to the park. We saw mule deer most days which the kids loved.

The house is in a great location and super cute. Perfect for our family of 4. Good outdoor hangout space and indoor place to play games and chill. Host was very communicative giving us the heads up about RMNP timed entry and traffic in Estes, etc. Highly recommend.

Walking distance to downtown

We enjoyed our stay in Estes Park. Everything was there that we needed. Fully stocked kitchen. Nice gas firepit and deck. It was hot when we were there and there us no air. Upstairs was warm. But basement was comfortable.

Summer Trip to RMNP

We booked Escape at Elkhorn for a trip to the Rocky Mountains. The home was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean and filled with everything you may need. The location was quiet as it was a little away from the center of Estes. On our last day we had elk walk right by right outside the property!

Comfortable and clean home, plenty of kitchen items and towels. Close to Rocky Mountain park entrance and town. My only complaint would be we had to take full garbage cans to curb on Monday for garbage pick up
we are charged cleaning fees to stay at property, I don’t agree that we should be responsible to do that.

Great Location

This is a nice two bed/two bath house with updated kitchen & bathrooms. It's in a great location. The property manager was great to work with. We had one issue & she resolved it quickly. She might want to oversee the cleaning staff - the house was not as clean as it could have been - there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. But the house is nicely decorated & appointed, with amenities such as shampoo & conditioner, which were greatly appreciated. All in all, a nice property. The property manager may want to have an electrician check the place over, too. We noticed that our bedside lamps did some odd flickering that didn't seem quite right.

Housekeeping Issues

On one of the reviews prior to our visit, one guest stated that the floors were dirty leaving their socks black and the owner's response was that they had let them in early, but should have made them wait so that housekeeping could do their job. The owner may want to get with their housekeeping staff because we did not check in early and the floors were still dirty. Also, when we opened the windows, we found the window sills and ledge shelves were extremely dirty with dead bugs and dirt everywhere. Also, the mattresses need to be replaced. The house was designed with COVID-19 in mind so it made it easy for us to clean/disinfect the house ourselves so that we could feel safe and comfortable. I really appreciate that fact about this property in spite of the things mentioned above so I would stay there again. LKA

Property was as listed, check in & communication with owner was good. This property is a new remodel, it was well stocked. The cleaning crew obviously cut some corners cleaning the floors, our white socks were black after walking on the floors. I did bring this to the owners attention, she advised she would address issue with cleaning crew. The furniture is comfortable, including couch, chair and beds. The upstairs bathroom is very small, the window above the tub could use a curtain. I recommend owners install ceiling fans in living room and bedrooms, especially the upstairs bedroom. A small table top fan was in the home, but it was very warm the day we arrived & hardly a breeze, so opening the windows did not help cool much. It can get quiet warm in EP during Summer months. The upstairs bedroom was very warm at night, the downstairs bedroom was more tolerable. There are no dressers in bedrooms to put clothes in or luggage racks, which would have been nice. The deck is relaxing with a nice view. The property is located on a narrow steep non paved road, the driveway at the front entrance is on an incline, can be challenging for some to navigate. Bear proof trash cans are provided on property. Unfortunately we had to cut our EP trip short due to a family emergency, the owners were very responsive to our concerns. Thank You!
