Wonderful stay. Three items to note: guest shower doesn’t drain well, black fan inoperable, front door lock was finicky when leaving the property and hard to lock.

A perfect location. Easy to get around the Lake Tahoe area. Very comfortable beds. Most of all, my wife brought her own pillow and didn’t use it. Even the pillows are perfect.

The Best Experience

The Cabin that we so happened to book was the largest or the biggest there. We had the best experience! From the time we checked in and started grilling till the day we checked out. We had so much fun. The nature was just so beautiful. And Kim was such a big help and was very nice and welcoming.

Gem in South Lake Tahoe

This was our second time staying at Emerald Point in this unit. It’s spacious clean and more than enough room for a family. Location is great being close to downtown, many of the must see sights and our favorite beach. Also close to grocery many stores and some great restaurants. We will definitely stay again 👍

Les points faibles : Propreté, arrivée, communication, emplacement et exactitude de l’annonce
I would not recommend staying at this property. The listing photos do not accurately convey how close the cabin is to a busy road. Traffic noise from cars and trucks was clearly audible inside the cabin throughout our stay.We had booked an eight-night stay but left after the first night because of the noise. Around 5:00 a.m., a garbage truck emptied the dumpster located just a few feet from the cabin, which woke us up and reinforced our decision to leave. We tried calling the host multiple times but were unable to reach him. When we contacted him through the VRBO messaging system, it took several hours to receive a response, and we were told there was nothing that could be done. We also found the cabin to be less clean than we expected (see picture of couch). We hoped to reach a reasonable compromise since we only stayed one night, but we were unable to do so with the host. As a result, we forfeited more than 4,000 for the unused portion of our reservation.

I'm sorry the road noise and early trash pickup made the cabin a poor fit, and that we couldn't reach a resolution you were happy with. We appreciate the detailed feedback and are updating the listing so future guests know how close the cabin is to the road. – Shelby

Very nice house/cabin. Comfy beds. Shops nearby. Sway was great at getting back to us with questions. It would have helped having instructions for TVs and check-out. Would come back! (But not through VRBO; they had terrible service.)

Great Winter Getaway

The cabin was immaculate, beds are comfortable, furnishings and cookware are high end. Sway and his team went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Location is terrific - near restaurants and stores, but not noisy. Super handy to have Snowshoe Thompson’s directly across the street to rent skis and snowshoes.

Amazing trip to Tahoe!

Wanted to get away for a long weekend with a close group of friends - this was the place to do it! The location is amazing with food within walking distance and the lake and groceries just a quick drive up the street. It was a perfect communal space to play games and a kitchen to cook family-style dinners. The rooms are spread out to provide a perfect amount of privacy for the early birds and night owls to be up and moving while everyone else is sleeping. We had a great time!

Cute property with unique layout. Only couple of issues- the hallway bathtub/shower was super slippery, needs a mat inside the tub to recalls. The sink in that bathroom drained really slow. Also there were only 2 small bath towels in each bedroom, please add 2 more large ones to each room.Everything else was great and we enjoyed our stay!

Good Overall Stay

Nice cabin in a nice area. A few downfalls is that there is not a laundry room and no air conditioning in the cabin. A bit of an inconvenience that we had to spend time at a laundromat because we did not have enough fresh towels to last the duration of the trip. We also visited during the summer and although it wasn't too hot while we were there, it would have been nice to still have air conditioning. The hosts recommend opening the windows but the windows don't have built-in screens in them, so opening the windows lets in bugs. We did encounter quite a number of spiders in the cabin but it is in a forestation area. Also because of the forestation and obvious high amounts of water in the area, the cabin did have a bit of a mildew smell to us.

Hi Estrella! Thanks for your review! Sorry you had to go to a laundromat. I wish you would have said something so we could have dropped off more clean towels for you. Also, I wish you would have reached out about the missing window screen. We could have dropped a replacement. Hope to host you again in the future to have another chance to show you 5 star service!
