Le chalet au bord de l'eau est sur le magnifique lac Austin et à seulement 10 minutes du centre-ville d'Austin. C'est au cƓur de tout ce que Austin a à offrir, mais sur le lac!
Le chalet est entiÚrement équipé, est privé, a une terrasse privée, ascenseur à bateaux, gril à gaz, chiminea, 3 kayaks, canoë, Lily Pad et Paddle Boards.

Le chalet a WIFI, 52 "HDTV, laveuse et sécheuse complÚte. Le chalet a un canapé-lit en duvet d'oie Crate and Barrel, 52 'HDTV, lit queen Temperpedic, appareils pleine grandeur.

Toutes les commodités de la maison: grille-pain, mixeur, cafetiÚre, ustensiles, plats de cuisson, draps et serviettes.

Le grand pont de bateau est de 2 étages, à la fois couvert et découvert, vous offrant une belle vue sur le pont 360. Il y a un chiminea pour un feu la nuit, un gril à gaz pour le barbecue et beaucoup de chaises longues pour se détendre! Prenez le canoë, le kayak ou la planche à pagaie (sur demande). Cute cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Close enough to town, without being in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Staying by the water was very nice. Very comfortable, with all the needed amenities.

Labor Day weekend get away

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the lake cottage. We grilled and cooked every day/evening. Although the grill isn’t in the best shape, it did great! The stove and oven worked excellent and had a surplus of cooking utensils. The location was perfect and thanks to Jerry, we were able to rent a boat for the entire weekend at a very affordable price. Communication with Dennis, the property manager, was smooth and easy. He seemed to be readily available if needed, luckily, we did not! Overall great stay. Thanks Jerry.

Great location and dock. Cottage needs updating.

I chose this location because we were able to bring our boat and dog, the reviews were strong and it was the best price. The dock was just what we were looking for...right over the lake, covered, lovely breeze and a large table with a grill. The owners were friendly and we have fresh water and wine waiting for us. The great proximity to the central Austin location and it's lakeview was what you are paying for. The aspects I would have liked to have known about before when I was deciding are: 1) there is no door between the bedroom and living area, just a curtain. 2) you have to bring your own soap and shampoo for the shower 3) the towels are so old they did not even dry you 4) it felt very dark in the space ( the windows are the sides are covered with vines). However, if it is two of you who don't mind sharing a queen (the sleeper sofa was not comfortable) and are much more focused on the outdoors, than this is a good place for you.

At Home on Lake Austin

My wife grew up in Austin so when she said she wanted to visit her family for her birthday I looked for a location where we could be close to all that Austin has to offer (and that is a LOT) but also have a nice relaxing vacation experience close to the lake where she grew up and has so many fond memories. Well, we found it with this very sweet cottage right on Lake Austin. Members of her family came by to visit us and all of them couldn't believe what a beautiful place we had found that was secluded from the town noise and traffic and yet so close. The owners were extremely gracious in providing the ammenities - including bringing in a bigger sofa bed for my brother and sister-in-law to stay over - aa well as making sure we had plenty of gas for the grill plus ping pong, horseshoes and floaty toys for our neices, nephews and even the newest great niece. (Please be sure to let the owners know ahead of time if you will be having visitors and also to register any overnight guests) The cottage is very clean and even though it is small there are all of the features needed for a comfortable home-like stay with sleeping for up to 4 people and indoor and outdoor seating for more visitors. Short day trips to downtown, restaurants and to visit friends was so easy from this central location but we ended up spending most of our week simply enjoying the beautiful lake, water craft, wildlife including swans and even a bald eagle. The covred boat dock with shaded upper deck was a great place to watch sunrises and sunsets plus a few naps in the quiet breeze. We absolutely will recommend this property to family and friends - as long as we can still reserve a time slot to go back ourselves which we plan to do again and again.

Summertime Lakefront Serendipity

What started off as a one month stay, grew to me staying for four months time. This quaint, little cottage filled me with joy, sunshine, easy lake access, friendly neighborhoods and endless memories. The property manager and owner were especially wonderful to deal with. Whenever I needed anything at all, they were quick to solve and always extremely friendly. Truth be told, this place felt like home. It’s quiet and peaceful to relax lake side, Or if you want to join the summer festivities you can cross towards party cove directly from the boat dock. All in all, I highly recommend staying here.

Great Waterfront place for it's price, boat dock, location, and views of the lake.

It's getting harder and harder to find affordable, waterfront rentals close to downtown. And, even harder if you want a place with a boat dock you can tie up to. This place fits the bill and it is super easy to get to(just off of Hwy 360). The 2 couches in the pictures have been replaced with a new "L" shaped sectional with a foldout bed. I don't like foldouts but found this one to be very comfortable as it has a new tempur-pedic mattress on it. This house has a full sized hot water heater and plenty of water pressure. It is an older home but very well maintained and was very clean when we arrived. We would stay again and would recommend it to others for it's price, boat dock, location, and great views of the lake.

Nice Location Poor Plumbing No Privacy

We arrived on Thursday at 3pm. It was apparent that they were not ready for us. There were workers on the property working on the docks. They had steeI beams on the basketball court with cut off pieces every where. There was a tall water sprinkler going in the yard. If fact the sprinkler was on for over 14 hours. We noticed that people were cutting across the property to go to the dock. When asked what relationship they had with the property they said the they were dropped off there to be picked up. Turns out the so called owner of the property allowed friends and other sub-leasers to use the doc and cut though the yard at any time of day . Oh yeah, at 11pm the maintenance guy who lives next door comes out and start burning down a bush. Flames were so high the he had to move the sprinkler over to help control the fire. Oh yeah did I mention that there was no water pressure in the house which ment no running water in the sinks and no shower and the toilets only flushed in the morning. I should have mentioned that there was no clear instructions about how to turn on the space heaters. so we were cold all night. No instruction how to watch the ATT Universe cable. We really didn't need the TV but it would have been nice to have instructions how to use it if we choose to watch it. There were many stray dogs the kept coming in the house begging for food. I mean at least 5 dogs. Turns out the they live about a mile down the road. This place is cute. It is in a good location. There are just too many things wrong with this listing to give it more that a 3 star rating.. Sometimes a picture doesn't tell the whole story. I would rent it again if they got all the bugs worked out like toliets that flush and water that runs.

Best views and amenities!

I stayed in the Lake Austin waterfront cabin for 25 days in Dec/Jan. The weather varied from the high 60’s to a rare snowfall on my last day. You have a nice view of the lake from your living area, but the best spot is on the upper deck of the boat dock which has a covered area, and an open area over the water with a chiminea to build a fire. Everyone was friendly and everything was as advertised, but pictures can’t really do the views Justice. Hope to be back for future assignments.

Works Well

Amazing location. Dock and waterfront are gorgeous. House is Tony. Grown people will have issues with the shower. Heat has two settings: nuclear inferno or off. Vines growing through bathroom windows. House was clean and has what you need, if thats basic. One bed and couches aren't really for sleeping. This place worked great for my son and I as we could share a bed. Price and availability for F1 weekend were the selling point. Wouldn't rent again. Sort of smells like damp but quite clean and efficient if your solo or really like who you are with.

Cozy Cabin

Very dated building. Not what you would pay for a 1 bedroom cabin. Incredibly tiny bathroom. Furniture was old and had pet mats on them. House was musty upon arrival and had to be aired out. Best part was they had all the TV channels you want or need.

Anniversary trip

You can’t beat the beautiful lake side location with boathouse deck we didn’t want to leave. Sitting out there for morning coffee, afternoon leisure or evening sunsets looking toward the 360 Bridge was the draw to this property. Constant entertainment from boats of all kinds and hydro-foil boards passing by made this a real escape. As others have noted, this is a lake house and not a 5 star hotel experience. It is a bit overpriced in our VRBO renting experience, but there are no other options with that boathouse. The coffee maker was top notched, kitchen well equipped for our needs and the bed comfy. Plenty of beach towels for enjoying the water. The location just next to the Austin Country Club makes for a lovely drive in and out of the property. Great restaurants are nearby. Jack Allen’s Kitchen Sunday brunch was a real treat and on the corner as you leave 360 to enter the neighborhood. A few things need repair and the owner says he’s working on that. It was fun meeting Jerry (owner who lives next door) who was ever so welcoming as he answered our questions.

Was okay but will not return

Very small house. Bed in the bedroom is good but the sofa bed is TERRIBLE. The couches have stains and the pillows slide out so you cant even sleep on the couch. There is a septic smell in the whole house that is pretty foul. there were small flying bugs all over the house, in cabinets, in the bathroom, closet area, etc. There were many tripping hazards in the lawn area so if you have little ones, I would not recommend.

A disappointment

I splurged to afford the cost per night. The little cottage is outdated and cockroaches greeted us on our arrival and stayed as did many inside moths. Clumps of bugs were on the deck chairs. Unsafe railing wobbled as I got in and out of the kayak (we cleaned.). Broken screen door. Broken door. Outdated welcome pack. I wish I could rate it high because the view from the dock and area was great. I am certain we could have found a better splurge.

The location of this cottage is incredible! We felt very safe being tucked away in a very nice neighborhood. Being right on the lake, with access to kayaks and paddle boards, made our stay relaxing yet active. This is a perfect place to end the night after being out on the water all day, walk-in around downtown Austin, or spending the day hiking at Barton Creek.

Perfect Lake Austin cottage, hidden gem

The Lake Austin Cottage was a perfect spot for 2 of us. We enjoyed the beautiful views and lake amenities like kayaking in the calm water. The location is close enough to Austin to enjoy the area, 20min drive to downtown or 5min drive to Westlake restaurants. The cottage is perfect for 2 people, has everything you need to enjoy the stay. Very quiet neighborhood, with some amazing housing down the street.

Lakeside cottage!

Wonderful little cottage on Lake Austin! The views are just beautiful and you could sit on the boat deck and relax all day! The cottage was very clean and well-appointed. This is not like a luxury hotel room (very small bathroom with older, tiny shower, window a/c and bedroom is divided to the living area with a curtain) but if you’re looking for beautiful views, it’s perfect! The neighborhood is beautiful for going on long walks. The property manager is very quick and responsive to any needs you might have.

Mimi bought this property to 'get away' from the busy world. We used to live in this house and loved every minute of it.
There is not much property left on Lake Austin. It is quiet here and we love to go skiing, relax on the boat dock, or go to the local restaurants nearby.
