Lady Seneca Cottage - in the middle of NY wine country
Lady Seneca is not a rental cottage, it is a vacation home. We are thrilled to share our home away from home with you. During your stay, please help yourself to the staples in the fridge and pantry. If there is a bottle of wine open, you are welcome to finish it. There is beer in the fridge, snacks in the pantry, and condiments in the fridge. If you finish a bottle, please leave a new one in its place. Please make yourself pancakes, cook in the kitchen, make yourself at home. Feel free to hang the hammocks up (in the basket behind the living room chair) for an afternoon nap. There are games in the steamer trunk, and books on the bookshelf. Youâll even find bubbles in the cabinet next to the fridge. We want you to love your stay on Seneca as much as we have loved it for so many years. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for recommendations of things to do and places to visit, we so love sharing our happy place with others.
Very much enjoyed the cozy cottage. Great location and perfectly located on Lake Seneca near vineyards and lots of places to eat. Will definitely look to stay here again.
My friend and spent our shared birthday weekend here & it was lovely! Idyllic view, convenient to lots of great places and so adorable & cozy. Owner was a pleasure to communicate with too.
The cottage was exactly as described, but the view and surroundings surpassed my expectations. The host was also very attentive and responded quickly to my questions about places to visit, wineries to check out and driving short-cuts. 5 stars!!
We really enjoyed staying in this cozy, lakeside cabin. It had everything we needed and was located near all of the hiking spots, restaurants, and wineries we visited during our trip to the Finger Lakes.
The cabin location is perfect. The description and details were perfect and simple/easy check in. The warm comfort of the cabin and beautiful scenery was wonderful and we would recommend this rental .
Had a great weekend in the cottage with my family. The host was very nice and responsive to questions. We had fun relaxing and playing games. The sunset across the lake was beautiful.
This lakeside property was wonderful, clean, in the middle of wine country, and right on Seneca Lake! It felt like home - well stocked with anything we needed, and a very responsive owner. Definitely will come back!
We had an awesome time in this very cute little cottage. It is in an excellent location in the heart of Hector's wine country. The neighbors are both extremely friendly as well. If you are looking for a cozy lake cottage convenient to everything in the area this is it.
Spent a few days at this house on the lake. Lovely spot and perfect home base for visiting the area. Storms changed our plans a bit but we enjoyed the breeze at night, the sunsets, fishing and kayaking and simply logging off, so didnât feel we missed anything. We enjoyed every meal at local restaurants from Watkins Glenn, Hector and up to Geneva. Couldnât have been better.
We had an awesome time! Owner very responsive and easy to communicate with, house is in such a great location and really well cared for. Kids loved the lake access and we loved the sun drenched decks and easy access to great food, wine and beer. Quaint cottage with a great view and easy access to everywhere, definitely going back.
The owners have a good eye for making the cottage feel warm and welcoming, they creatively made use of their space. The cottage was clean
Just a little small for our taste .
Super cute lake house. Incredible view of the lake. Loved having access to the boathouse- they had kayaks and fishing gear which we put to good use! We had a lovely bonfire and enjoyed sitting on the two decks. Sunsets were breathtaking.
We loved our stay in this cozy cabin! The aesthetic of the interior design is exactly what you imagine when you hear the word 'cabin.' Everything you need is present. The cabin is very clean and comfortable. The owners were friendly and helpful with local recommendations and enthusiasm for our visit. We had such a peaceful and relaxing time with our three little boys. I highly recommend this spot for anyone who is looking to completely unwind in a beautiful, beachfront cove. As for Seneca Lake -- it's a beautiful spot to swim, just beware of the zebra mussels (wear water shoes), they are razor sharp!
Comfortable stay with a lake view under oak trees and a deck at the lakeshore steps away. The floor model air conditioner and ceiling fans worked very well for the high temps (90s). The full kitchen with lots of counter space and new appliances was beautiful. Owner was quickly responsive to questions and offered to fix a problem with the shower immediately. Neighbors are close by, but respectful and quiet. It was so peaceful there!
I stayed at the property with two friends for the weekend. We had a spectacular weekend with amazing weather. Our weekend was a mix of at home activities including swimming in the lake and meals on the deck over the water and visits to a few of the local wineries and breweries. We did not use the boathouse, but plan to next year.
The property was as described in the listing. The property had everything we needed for our trip (except a blender for very specific summer beverages). While not spacious, the house was the perfect size for making breakfast, grilling chicken for tacos and relaxing on either of the decks looking over the lake. We ate all our home meals on the deck over the water.
I slept on the pull-out couch while the other two each had their own room. Everyone was happy with their bed choices.
While Leindenfrost Winery is walkable, it is an uphill hike and not recommended in summer dresses and flip flops.
Kristina was great to work with. She was immediately responsive when the shower pressure got a little wonky and got it resolved timely while we explored the area.
We are already planning our trip to the same property next year with an extra day or two for our stay.
Highly recommend!!
This place is the coziest place I have ever stayed. It is breathtaking. Ever detail is absolutely perfect! When we arrived, we just kept going from room to room admiring its perfection. The lake is truly magical and watching the sunset was gorgeous every night. The hiking was amazing, the fishing was so convenient and my daughter even got to kayak. I highly recommend this area and specially this gem of a property. We will definitely be back!!
This was an awesome place to stay! Nestled in the trees, around the wineries, and on the lake to boot...what could be better??!! Quaint little rustic cabin with all of the amenities. Was nice to have spices and condiments available so we didn't have to buy them! It was the perfect vacation spot.
