If you like to be in the woods but also within walking distance of a village, then this is the perfect place for you! This completely renovated guesthouse has all the perks of being at home and is uniquely situated in the heart of the Finger Lakes. The guesthouse includes accommodations for six, has a fully equipped kitchen, a master suite with a soaking tub, three stone patios, an outside fire pit, a six-person hot tub, washer/dryer, and three acres of charming, wooded walking trails. This location is so picturesque that you have to see it to believe it!

Connected to the Catherine Valley Trail, this is a great option for nature lovers. The property is centrally located between Ithaca, Corning, and Elmira. Watkins Glen International is less than five miles away and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail begins 3 miles from this location. If you're traveling with family or friends, for work or for pleasure, crave adrenaline or love the secluded woodlands, this is the place for you!

We had the most wonderful time at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described (if not better!). The home was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need — from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets and extra towels.The location was ideal: quiet and peaceful, yet close to great restaurants, shops, and local attractions. We especially loved the hot tub.Our host was fantastic — friendly, responsive, and clearly cares about making guests feel welcome. Check-in was smooth, and we really appreciated the helpful local tips they shared.We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.

Was the perfect home away from home! Short drive to many activities in the Finger Lakes area and close to groceries and restaurants, yet the place is located in a peaceful quiet area. Plenty of space to spread out and relax, nice sized bathrooms, with plenty of hooks to hang towels! Place was spotless, and beds were very comfortable. The washer & dryer was great to take care of wet swimsuits after hanging out in the hottub each night! Kitchen was well appointed with everything you need, good quality pans, a colander, blender and plenty of silverware and dishes to have a number of meals before running the dishwasher. While we didn't sit on the front porch - a little too chilly - it was so inviting as was the fire pit area, but we only had energy to open the hottub cover, which was a wonderful end to each day.Great local places to go are a 5 min drive - Watkin's Glen State Park is a MUST to go to, lots of shopping and cute restaurants in DT Watkin's Glen.Owners were very responsive and the whole process was very easy!This will definitely be a place we will stay at if we make another trip to this area.

Our second time staying here and it's really great. Clean, well stocked kitchen, comfortable, private, 7ish minutes from WGI, right on the Catherine Valley Trail.. My husband and I ended up using both bedrooms since we don’t do well sharing queen beds, but the beds are comfortable. Hosts are super responsive, replying and bringing us more propane within 10 minutes. We highly recommend this property.

Finger lakes family vacation.

We loved the area and the property. 10 minutes from Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake. Everything was exactly as advertised. The guest house is a little closer to the main house than I had expected, but it still felt very private. Would absolutely stay again.

The house was wonderful snd the host couldn’t have been nicer. It was very clean snd well stocked. We had everything we needed. The catherine valley trail connected to the property which made it do convenient. We enjoyed cooking out and using the hot tub. Very enjoyable stsy

Clean, Well-Decorated, Many Amenities, Great Location

Excellent location to Watkins Glenn State Park and other great places for water falls, gorges and hiking. The property has many amenities including a patio, hot tub and fire pit. The guest house has enough room to spread out and the hosts stocked it up with snacks and water bottles. The bed in the master bedroom is soft (better if medium firmness in our opinion) and the very hot weather meant that the room air conditioners would kick on and off throughout the night. But that did not really bother us. We enjoyed eating at Althea's while listening to their Blues Band and dining at the Blue Pointe Grille outside on their patio overlooking Seneca Lake and their garden. Overall, we recommend this guest house.

Home Base

A very nice home base to explore the Watkins Glen and finger lakes areas. The trail being nearby was nice as we could bike when the weather cooperated. The property was clean and well appointed. We would stay again if we were in the area.

Great Location

The property feels so secluded, but it was only a 10-15 minute drive from all the places we were headed during our trip. Montour Falls and Watkins Glen were both such cute little towns and we happened to be there during the Fall Festival! Richard and Rebekah were great hosts. The property was better than we imagined. The guest house is up on the hill and their main house property is beautiful to look down upon. We had a great time and will definitely consider staying here the next time I am in the finger lakes.

AWESOME TRIP

We had a wonderful stay at the guesthouse❀. Five people two kids And a whole Lotta fun! Very relaxing while being near the NASCAR race, track and enjoying breweries and nature. We got a bit of everything! The house was just perfect. Everything we needed and more the owners were easy to reach and answered all my questions.. Five stars easy looking forward to our next trip

Home base for Watkins Glen and wine trail

The property is a great home base for accessing Watkins Glen and the Seneca Lake wine trail. It was clean and comfortable for our family, and the hot tub was a nice bonus after a day of hiking. Would definitely recommend this place for exploring the area.

Perfect Finger Lakes getaway

This place is wonderful! A private, quiet spot with a beautiful view, the house is clean and cozy, with modern appliances and a stocked kitchen. The porch has a great view, with comfy chairs and a grill nearby. And there's a hot tub! Great way to start and end the day. The owners are awesome. Great to deal with, very helpful, real fast response to questions, tons of local knowledge. They've created a mowed path on the back of the property that leads to the Catharine Valley Trail which is a beautiful walk. Super nice people. If you're planning a Finger Lakes vacation this is the place to stay! It's quiet, peaceful, private, yet close to lots of great wineries, parks, and food. Tops Market is a full grocery store not 5 minutes from the house, so you can get what you need quick and easy. And you'll pass a waterfall on the way. The Carrolls are great hosts, they'll make your stay special. We will definitely be back. Thanks!
