We loved our stay here! Everything was so clean and very warm & welcoming. The location was great and the views of the lake stunning! Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely little cottage right on Seneca Lake. Wonderful sun rises! Host was accessible, attentive to detail, friendly, and very easy to communicate with. On check in the house was well lit with soft music playing to welcome us. I especially liked the little tea cups and books left on the beds. Home and property were well-kept and clean and the bed very comfy. Appreciated that I could bring the dogs with me and we all had an excellent, relaxing week. Plenty of birds and squirrels to watch. Clear skies made for great stargazing on the deck. Area is very quiet other than the occasional train (maybe a handful in an entire week?), and the neighbors I interacted with out walking were pleasant and friendly. Only downside, the sofa wasnât the most comfortable for lounging as it is a pull out bed and right in line with the AC window unit, but the chairs were comfy and there were plenty of pillows. I would definitely stay here again and hope to do so in the near future.
This is a perfect location on Seneca Lake. The proximity to wineries and also places to get things to eat are great. Weâve been here before and have returned and enjoyed it both times. The hot tub in the backyard is wonderful and the access to the lake is great.
Overall, a good stay but not great. The house was clean and the location was great. Only one air conditioner in the house and it was in the living room. When on the uncomfortable couch, you couldnât escape the cold air blowing on you.The biggest issue for us was not the ownerâs fault, other than not completely describing the property. The dock was unusable to us because of my wifeâs mobility issues. Accessing the dock requires descending (and climbing) 25 very steep steps. The only egress from the water is via a ladder, so our dog couldnât swim there. Obviously we didnât ask the right questions before booking this property. Also, the view of the lake is quite obscured by trees and vegetation, so donât expect sweeping views. Otherwise, the house was fine if mobility is not an issue.
The place is excellent. We had one small hiccup about the dog but all in all everything went well after communicating the issue with the owner of the place. The place itself is very clean, amazing lake views and nice neighbours. It is located right in between Watkins Glen and Geneva. So we had chance to visit both sides of the lake. Highly recommend !
We had a nice relaxing stay at the property. The hot tub is a necessity and made this place stand out. Cute decor and set up as we arrived which was a nice touch. My main critiques lie within the really easy upgrades that there could be to make the comfortability more complete. The shower head is a glorified water spicket that just shoots water at you (not ideal if you want to take a relaxing shower). The only couch in the living room is pretty rough. Itâs a pull out which I understand to make more room for people, but it really hits at the comfort that is desired when you want to just settle down and watch a movie after enjoying dinner or the hot tub. Updating those 2 things seems incredibly easy to me, cheap, and would have immediate payoff. No complaints anywhere else, just shy of ideal.
We were here celebrating a birthday. The primary need was for a hot tub and that was fulfilled great. The hot tub was clean, fully operational and easy to use. The house was exactly as advertised and pictured. Great location near wineries and breweries. We loved Abandon Brewery, it was a bit further out but had the feel of a local dive but the beer and food were great. Thanks to the Hokes for hosting!
On our arrival we were overwhelmed by the beautiful view and the welcoming atmosphere inside this cozy, modern cottage. The hosts attention to cleanliness is apparent . Thank you for sharing this jewel.
We had lovely week at this cute little house. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with everything to create a nice meal. The hottub was welcomimg after a long day of hiking. The location was in close proximity to the wineries and trails.
My wife and I have been renting water front properties for 15 years. We were disappointed with the access to the lake at this property. We enjoyed visiting the nearby wineries.
A great cottage overlooking Seneca Lake. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Beautiful back deck with great views, we watched local Osprey on the hunt for fish every night. Some stairs lead to a dock with a ladder to the water. The lake is spring fed and very clear to at least 4 feet. Has a hot tub and charcoal grill. Highly recommend staying here.
This place was exactly what we were looking for!! Perfect place to spend my birthday! SPECTACULAR LAKE VIEW! They let us bring our boat - so thankful!! We LOVED sitting on the dock, just enjoying the sun/breeze/water! The house had everything we needed! the lay out makes it feel spacious, and cozy at the same time!! Nice size deck and hot tub - checks so many boxes!! We felt so relaxed - like we were a million miles away! thank you for sharing! i hope we can come back!
This is an adorable house. The photos posted do not do it justice. Loved it even more upon entering. Location was perfect. The view of the lake was beautiful.
Since the reservations made last minute, it meant no refund. Unfortunately, we had an emergency that needed attending to. Instead of cancelling, I decided to go it alone with just my two fur babies. Very glad I did! We had a very relaxing and peaceful weekend! Wish I could've stayed longer. The weekend was just not long enough. Your home is full of warmth, very inviting and charming. Thank you!
The cottage was very clean and well-equipped. It was cozy and tastefully decorated. We really enjoyed the dock with the seating area on the end. Gorgeous views of the lake from the dock and the house. Would definitely come back.
Wonderful location. Quiet neighborhood. Easy access to great nearby wineries, and to all the shopping and restaurants in Geneva. The house is well-appointed and cozy. The big-screen TV is perfect, and the wifi signal is great for streaming entertainment. We loved this house and will look for it again on future trips up to Seneca Lake!
My family has been on Seneca Lake since the 1930's and this is the first home I have owned. We have a large family and this is the 6th cottage that we own. I chose this cottage because my siblings and I have a very strong connection to the lake and the area, and it is our favorite place to come to unplug and relax. We all became familiar with the water as babies, and it continues to draw us back. Some of my best memories (I'm in my 30's now) have been at the lake. I've made quite an effort to modernize and update this cottage recently, so that I and my guests will thoroughly enjoy their stay here. I love the location and the yard. It's very bright and peaceful, with expansive views of the lake and surrounding natural setting. I feel very much at home there and I hope you will too.
I chose this cottage because it reminded me of my grandfather's cottage when I was growing up, and because it was very well maintained. I especially like the way it feels - cheerful and homey.
