Alpenglow sits in the Northface Community close to the base of Timberline Mountain by Perfect North. Just a short walk to the lifts. Alpenglow is a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath home ideally located at the base of the slopes and Slopeside Road so there is no steep climb up the mountains with your auto. Extra large living area with wood-burning fireplace, a 52" TV, DVD, washer/dryer, indoor hot tub, WiFi and gas grill. Low enough on the mountain for easy winter access without 4WD.
The host was helpful when we discovered that some things were broke or didnât work properly. The hot tub was out of order the whole time, he did try to fix it but was unable to. He did help us out with that. We loved the living room, dining and kitchen area. It was great for a big family. The kitchen itself could use a few more pots and pans. And the cleaning service they use could do a better job in some areas of the house. But overall we enjoyed our trip!
Tv's didnât work, grill didn't work but half, the one bed felt like a box spring no mattress. Only 2 trash bags in house. No detergent or bathing needs. One bedroom appeared the wall was cracking and yellow from leak. Overall host was very responsive and great butttt for 1500 for 2 nights i was greatly disappointed
House was very convenient to the ski area. Kitchen area was well stocked with cooking supplies. There was plenty of room for everyone! We had a great stay!
This is a very nice house. The outside needs some upkeep but the location is wonderful. Very short walk over to the slopes. Plenty of room indoor. The layout allows for lots of family time.
The house was very accommodating, communication with owner was great. Water pressure in shower upstairs was not great. Kitchen was well equipped. We had great weekend.
Great Location, decent house, great host, overall recommend
This property is a great place to stay for a ski trip to timberline. The house itself is a bit older and has some issues (water pressure low in the extreme cold for example) but overall was worth the price. The host, Dean, is great. There was a snow-caused leak in the ceiling of the living room, and the host was very fast to act on it and get a repairman out there (within 45 mins of contact). Overall, if you can deal with some âolderâ house problems, this is a great place to stay.
House has no curb appeal. We were debating whether or not to go inside. However, once we figured out how to unlock the door, we were pleasantly surprised. Very clean, comfortable, and great location. Itâs located at the bottom of the mountain. The house is spacious. Livingroom has cable television; other tvs in the house did not. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need to cook. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with one having a 1/2 bath. There is also a full bath on first floor. Nice deck in back. There is a room with a hot tub but we didnât use it. I would recommend this place.
Our family of 5 spent a weekend here and enjoyed the hot tub and spacious layout. We had way more beds than we needed and there was plenty of comfortable furniture to lounge on. The fireplace was also a nice feature. While the house was old and furniture was also aged, it was exactly as pictured so nothing to complain about there and no suprises. What was a surprise though was the poor cleanliness. First impression upon opening the door was snow-melt salt spilled all over the entryway floor, carpet and door mat. The bathrooms had hair on the toilets and baseboard heaters. Paint was peeling off the wall in another bathroom. Floors were grimy. And there was mouse poop in several of the pots and pans.
The host (Dean) didnât send the code and info to get in two days prior as he promised. We were 15 min away and still had no info on how to get in. We were talking with VRBO support up until 4:15 as they were working on getting as a different property since they could not get in touch with Dean. At 4:30 we finally got in touch with Dean and got the info to get into the property. When we showed up it was confusing as there were two different numbers in the property. There was also a car parked in front. As we Webber there was someone inside. I asked if we could come in and if we were at the correct property. Sure enough we were and it was the cleaning lady still there. She was complaining at how much she had to do. Next to the recliner was an alcoholic beverage and her phone. After 15-20 min she finished up, sat down and finished her beverage. We were supposed to be out that Tuesday but she said she wouldnât get back to the house until Wednesday so stay as long as we want. lolShe left and we had missed our scheduled snowboard lesson since we got into the house later than we were told we could get in. (4pm)After Jessica (cleaning lady) left, we explored the house a bit. Itâs def old and needs updates and was not the cleanest. I had to change my daughterâs sheets as there were blood stains on them. When I went to bed that night I noticed mine too had blood stains. I have pictured but not sure if I can upload with this review. Review continuedâŠ
