Cozy 1st Floor King George one bedroom apartment right across from USNA
Enjoy this one bedroom first floor apartment that's right across from Gate 2 of the U.S. Naval Academy. It's a short 1 block walk onto the USNA yard and 2 blocks to get to all of the restaurants, shops and water taxi on Ego Alley and everything that downtown Annapolis has to offer on Main Street and in Eastport. There are 8 steps to go up to get into the front entrance. Once you enter the front entrance there are no steps to enter the apartment. The apartment has a fully updated kitchen if you'd like to eat in, with a microwave, stove and dishwasher. The full bath has been completely remodeled. This home offers the charm of a historic home with modern day conveniences. Before the recent updates were made Walter Cronkite even stayed in the unit in the early 80's when his sailboat was downtown!
Check in is after 4pm. If we can accommodate an earlier check in we will.
Guest access: You will have full access to the one bedroom first floor apartment. In addition you have access to shared washer and dryer located in the basement and a shared courtyard and grill out back.
Other things to note: There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen size pull out couch in the living room.
Historic District - Cet appartement se trouve Ă moins de 10 minutes de marche des sites suivants : John Smith House et U.S. Naval Academy. William Paca House et Tose Family Tennis Center se trouvent juste Ă quelques pas.
The location is excellent. We rarely needed a car. The heating and AC worked great. We had several issues with the lights and the full size bedâs mattress sagged in the middle- so one of us slept on the sofa.We sent some suggestions to Julie for enhancing the property.
We were thrilled to be able to return to this great apartment. It is very close to Gate 1 and the sofa bed has a great mattress on it!We hope to continue to return to this rental.
The location is perfect! Walking distance to everything you want see in Annapolis. So much history, great museums, restaurants. Paid overnight parking is a bit of a walk, but worth it to be so close to town.
We enjoyed our stay at this prime location. First level floor was nicely equipped and had a lovely layout. Loved the historic finishes and charm of the place. Parking lot was a few blocks away near the private college.
I stayed a few extra days after USNA parents weekend. The property was perfect to stay close to USNA and to town. I walked everywhere.
Definitely will return.
Clean. Great location. Adorable insideâŠso much original charm but not outdated and a well-stocked kitchen (which we didnât use but I made note of it for future visits!). Julie was quick to answer all my questions.
Couldn't have chosen a better location for our two night stay. Nice clean apartment unit, well supplied with everything we needed. The owner, Julie, was very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend!
Great location. Spacious apartment. Great contact with manager who allowed us a 1 hour early check-in for our circumstances. Cleanliness and amenities were great. Even though we only used the coffee maker on our one night stay, the small kitchen was very nice. Would stay here again.
Perfect Stay - Comfortable and Close to Everything
I hope to be able to return to this wonderful rental.
Not only was it larger than I had expected, all aspects were comfortable and very well maintained.
The sofa bed had a great mattress on it! We've had negative experiences with sofa beds before, but this one was perfect.
Communication with the owner was quick and very helpful!
I highly recommend this rental!
We loved this property. The apartment was very comfortable, even roomier than we expected, and had everything we needed. The location could not have been better. We parked our car at the Gott Garage, about a half mile away, and walked everywhere. Didn't need the car again until we left. Can't say enough about what a great town Annapolis is!
Julieâs place was perfect! Clean, super comfy bed, very spacious, and the best location. The description was exactâwe were able to walk everywhere. We unloaded in front of the building and drove our car to a parking garage and didnât return for our car for 4 days. It was a short walk back to the apartment. We would highly recommend and we would love to come back next year.
Literally steps from the Naval Academy. 5 minutes from the waterfront and Mainstreet. 15 min by foot to Eastport for more dining and waterfront. Iâd call this unit perfect for 2. Maybe add 2 young children, max. Parking? Itâs city life. Need I say more. Owner is responsive. Apartment is Very clean. No crazy owner rules.Cost is comparable to a downtown hotel room with better space. I would rent again.
The property was clean and the rooms looked like the pictures online. Julie provided lots of supplies for her guests in the unit. Bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the walk-in shower.
We would have appreciated brighter light bulbs in the bathroom. Putting on make-up was a bit of a challenge.
Access to the backyard was somewhat difficult. We were attracted to the apartment because it was on the first floor. The steps into the house were manageable. However, it is quite unsafe and extremely difficult for anyone with mobility issues to get up those concrete steps from the sidewalk. It woud be helpful and safer for guests if railings were reinstalled. At least one railing would help especially for small children and those with mobility issues.
We visited Annapolis with the intent of going to the Naval Academy, so this was the perfect location for our needs...just steps away from the entrance.
The property was fun for us because my children only know the "newer" style of homes in Florida, so they enjoyed being able to live in an older, historical home for the weekend. It was very comfortable, with super soft linens and extra pillows for the beds, and on the sofa.
I usually venture out and tour/shop/dine/explore until late at night while on vacation in an interesting town, but this property was so cozy that we ended up going back early and enjoying it as a family -watched Olympics, and relaxed in the comfy living room.
The parking was no problem for us because I enjoy walking, but if you expect to park on site, that will not happen. There is a 2 hour parking limit (per the city, not the owners) in front of this property so we opted to park in public garage that offered free parking over the weekend- about a 10 minute walk from parking garage to the property. If you stay during weekdays you may need to pay to park in the local garages- and be ready to walk back to the property.
We did not use the kitchen other than to heat up leftovers in the microwave, but it appeared to be fully equipped with everything needed to cook a meal, including spices, salt/pepper, sugar, etc.
We loved staying here, and only wish we could have stayed longer!
