Admire panoramic views of the dunes and the ocean waves at Breakers, a stunning oceanfront home with direct access to the beach over a sandy dune path. You'll find plenty of fun outdoors, with a basketball goal on a concrete pad, a picnic table and a gas grill on the lower gated deck, a fish-cleaning table, and furnished sundecks.

Relax in the spacious first-floor living area, which opens to the dining room and the well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs, you can get a good night's rest in one of two primary bedrooms with gorgeous oceanfront views or get away from it all in the oceanfront sitting room with a TV, a wet bar, and a mini-fridge.

Electronic amenities include four TVs, a stereo/CD player, free long-distance calling, and high-speed WiFi for your laptop - although you'll find it hard to tear yourself away from those ocean breakers, visible from the top-level bedrooms, the sitting room, and the sundeck.

Great views

The views of the water from the top floor were great. I also liked the many doors that opened onto the decks. Lots of space and it was nice and quiet.

What a view!

We spent 2 weeks here in late October-early November with 2 dogs and had great weather. The view over the dunes to the ocean waves from upstairs bedrooms and the deck was wonderful. The sound of the ocean in the bedroom at night was amazing. I saw a complaint in the reviews about the beds, but we found them to be comfortable, so maybe they have been replaced. The furniture could use attention as some of the easy chairs were pretty worn and uncomfortable, but the IKEA type chairs were great. Plenty of dishes and silverware. If you are going to cook a lot it might be reasonable to bring along a few good nonstick pans and some sharp knives, but you can make do with what is there. The view and the sound of the ocean are the main attractions of this home and they won't disappoint!

Beautiful location

Avon and the location of Breakers is great. The house may need a little updating but all in all, this was a great rental and it had everything we needed. More than enough room for the 8 of us- 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Avon was great as well. It’s a little bit longer of a drive, but it is definitely more laid back than a Kitty Hawk type of area. There are still plenty of shops and great places to eat. We would definitely go back again.

Location is great house is nice, needs improvements

Location is great, it is a hike over the dunes. The beds are awful to sleep on, we left a night early because of how bad they were. It’s beautiful home and has potential to be an even better stay if only Vacasa puts in the work to actually clean instead of a quick linen change & emptying garbage. The fans clearly haven’t been cleaned in months, the tubs/shower had a ton of soap scum. The furniture reminds me of someone grabbing free furniture off the side of the road, the couches sink right in & not in a comfy cozy kind of way. The pots and pans aren’t usable. If you can look past all of that, the location is fantastic and the beach wasn’t at all busy

Kitchen was low quality and very small. TVs should be updated so apps like Netflix can be used. Rug in living room seemed to be pretty dirty.

Great location, cozy house

We loved the eclectic furniture, mismatched, and casual. The beds were super comfortable, and the sheets were amazing. I am a percale sheets snob, and these were to my standard. Felt very homey and relaxed. It was clean, and really was a great house. Just to help others planning, it is a bit of a hike over the dunes to the beach. The second floor views are amazing. We had a senior dog with us, so, taking him to the beach every day was a priority. The other thing that was challenging was that there were small cactus and stickers in the grass area around the house this made it difficult to walk him. He had stickers and cactus after any walks, unless we went toward the beach.

Great house with an amazing location!

This is our fourth time staying at Breakers 761 and there were some nice improvements since our last stay. When we arrived, we noticed that the grill was missing from the deck. The previous grill was old and didn't work so well and when I called Vacasa to let them know that there was no grill as was listed in the house description, they brought over a brand new grill the next day! The screens have been replaced in the sliding doors which was very nice and the house was actually much cleaner than it has been in the past. Overall, this is an amazing house and you can't beat the location., only a short walk over the dunes to the beach. The views of the ocean are beautiful from the top deck and we loved sitting out there and reading with our morning cup of coffee. The dogs always have a great time as well, not only running on the beach, but hanging out on the gated in deck as well! We will definitely continue coming to Breakers 761!

Fall On The Banks

This was our 23rd trip to the Banks...once more absolutely beautiful. After a 9 hour drive was great arriving to a ready house (clean, air on, beds made and paper products to last a few days). Weather was wonderful and the week very relaxing. Breakers location allows an easy walk to the beach and a quick drive to the grocery store and the Avon Pier. The view of the ocean from upper deck was breath taking. Only complaint was a few items that needed repaired (which we reported) coffee pot not working, screen torn on sliding glass door, leak around kitchen faucet, and washer not spinning. Hopefully these complaints will be addressed...if so...would definitely rent house again in the future.

Nice location. House getting shabby

Upon check-in the Maid service was still there. Had to wait till 6pm. House very dirty. No vacuuming done. No sweeping done (no broom). Lots of dog hair, people hair, sand dead flys... We had to vacuum befor occupying. Glad we did not have the toddlers with us this year. Bathrooms were clean except the floor (hair...). Kitchen was clean except the floor and window. Bedrooms were OK except for the hair and sand and nasty bits on the floor. Furniture was ok. Nice decorating. Beds were made and towels were provided which was nice. Upper deck had nice furniture. Lower deck was a total washout during the rain. Some was partially covered but the upper deck water and sand came down onto the lower deck on to food being prepared on grill and picnic table. Needs to have a rain shield to prevent this (one is partially there, but is not big enough and dumps water onto the picnic table benches and table).

Love This House But….

This house is a gem the location and vibe can’t be beat. Unfortunately, a large company purchased OBR and jacked the rates $2000 for the same time next year. This house has some deferred maintenance dishwasher not working, rotted decking on the stairs. rotted molding around front door, mold in the remodeled upstairs bathroom ceiling. Vents in bedrooms covered in dust. No vacuum cleaner or dust pan to clean up after oneself. While none of this impacted the splendor of the location there are plenty of other properties to rent that are more affordable. Bittersweet goodbye to Breakers 761 which my family has rented about 10 times

Warm, welcoming home

This is our 3rd year at the Breakers; we love the home’s coziness and location. A fall trip has become a family tradition. We look forward to family games and kites on the beach. The house was not as clean this year, and we hope it’s just a temporary problem and not a sign of how future stays will be.

Very Nice Cottage

This was our first time staying at Breakers. The house was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. Distance to the beach was a bit further than we had expected but not too bad. Just had to walk across the dunes. House was clean and had mostly everything we needed in the kitchen. We would recommend Breakers to anyone looking for a nice beachfront house. We would love to see the owners put in a pool in the future!!

Comfortable layout. Enjoyed the upper deck and the kitchen, as well as the upstairs sitting area! Loved the sunrises from the sitting area!
