Prettiest condo we've stayed at in Hawaii. The view was extraordinary. We watched whales everyday. Host was excellent to work with. It was clean and had everything we needed. Easy walk to the ABC store, small farmer's market, and a bakery. A chaise lounge chair would be good to add to the lanai and a TV in the bedroom but otherwise perfection! We would definitely stay here again.

Really lovely and comfortable!

First time to Maui and we found the condo to be exactly as represented with a terrific view! It was clean and well appointed. Modern upgrades. We also thought the pool and hot tub were great. Easy access to everything!

Sugar Beach PH27

Fantastic place and location! Condo was clean, modern with every amenity needed. View from the balcony was like a postcard! Great beach right out front, not busy as we could always find lounge chairs anytime we went down. North end of Kihei which meant we had to drive to shops/restaurants but it was quieter and not nearly as crowded. Loved every minute of it!

Perfect place to chill

I loved this property. The condo was immaculately cleaned and the checkin was super easy. The condo was well appointed with all amenities and had a smart TV which I personally love. I was able to stream anything I wanted. Great wifi. Tip: do the grocery delivery service prior to your arrival. It’s expensive but worth it. The beach is literally outside your lanai. Mahalo Ali’i Resorts. We look forward to returning.

A wonderful time in Kihei

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The space was clean, and well thought out. I especially enjoyed the balcony with the view of the ocean. The kitchen was stocked with many useful pieces of equipment, and storage. There were a few spices. We left some oil spray behind. They had beach chairs and a cooler, which we used often for the beach. The pool and hot tub were great. We used them often, and there were outdoor showers to rinse for the pool and I used after walks along the beach. There was a close farmers market that I walked to in the morning. As well as an outrigger canoe tour group which was on the other side of the condo building. They were great. There are many great grocery stores and restaurants and beaches within a 10-20 minute drive. There was just one peculiar thing that happened in the late afternoon when the winds picked up. There was a bad smell that was coming from a drying pond that was near by. We just stayed inside at that time. It lasted for a couple of hours, and when the wind stopped it went away. It would t stop me from staying there again.

Sugar beach PH27

Great, clean and well appointed property. The view, view, view on the lanai!! Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare and serve food with. Had essentials for cleaning supplies as well as laundry to get you by till going to grocery store. Top floor, right on beach directly facing the ocean. Listening to waves crash on beach while enjoying the lanai relaxing with coffee or other drinks. Ali’i resorts management company was superb! Thanks to Susan, Kimmie and Jamie for answering questions and helping us be able to enjoy the lanai as another unit was smoking on theirs. Being a non smoking property was a plus and having the issue resolved quickly once we figured out which unit was being inconsiderate to all was a relief to help the ignorant understand the property rule’s that each guest has to sign-off on, especially with being allergic to smoke. Great condo exactly what we hoped as the pictures on the listing do not lie beautiful. As they say here live with aloha and all will be great!

Unclean Unit

There was blood on the lania that I had to clean after spotting it next to my barefoot!! Biohazard and unacceptable! 2 of the 4 beach chairs were broken. There s between 1-2" of dust clogging the bathroom fan, which is a complete fire hazard! The walls and door frames were actually black from dirt that had been there for quite some time. I took our first afternoon cleaning and wiping down every surface. I am not sure why we waited for housekeeping after our early flight and would much rather have been allowed early access since the room was obviously not cleaned. I attempted to relay all of this to the person who called regarding our ckeck out, but she simply said sorry and never noted any of the feedback. I believe the owner should and would want to know this information!

We're taking your concerns seriously, and we are very sorry that we fell short of meeting your expectations. Firstly, we are alarmed to hear about blood on the lanai. During our inspection of the clean and your walk-through at our greet with our team, no blood was seen on the lanai. We have since replaced the two broken beach chairs with new ones. Our team removes the vents to clean them. The property does require the bathroom vent to be running when the dryer is also running. We have seen instances in the past that some lint will blow forward after the cleaning and vent have been running. We can assure you our team did clean the condo before your arrival, but we are sorry to hear the door frames were missed along with other areas. Our team tried to call and also texted you after your first night but we did not hear back. We wish we knew about some of these items so your stay would have been more enjoyable. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Penthouse 27 Sugar beach Ali’s resorts

Modern, airy, very well equipped condo with comfy bed. The most modern of 10 or so we have stayed at Sugar Beach. Good communications but a plethora of extra steps and processes meant it felt like a chore. Some noisy construction work next door started at 0930 when we were trying to have a lie in but they have that noted in the T and Cs. The biggest and by far bug bear was the place was just not cleaned in places. The first thing you see is a grubby sticky outside front door, hair and dust balls on the floor, long Black hairs in the bathroom and I don’t know how long it’s been since the sofa had been moved - spiders, dust and goodness know what lurked. The resort remains a favorite though the beach sand can be a little small grained and this can cause the water to appear Brown or gray even after a long dry period with no run off. Would we come back to this unit, sure. But the letting and maintenance agency needs to step up the cleaning quality and their Canary software can’t handle late check outs. There was some form or arcing interference to wide and Medium wave radio reception after 1032pm every night probably from a faulty or non bonded roof top Solar charging system that has been operational for years. This was repeatedly (on the phone and at their desk)reported to the resort manger but nothing ever happened I could see - they never called me back even after repeated requests. iI fear the worse.

Amazing view, newly remodeled

The unit is perfect! It’s a penthouse unit with an amazing view! The pullout sofa was comfortable for our 2 teenage kids. And it was fully stocked with way more kitchen necessities than you would need, beach towels, beach chairs, small coolers and ample seating on the balcony to watch the sunsets and sunrise. Very walkable beach. I woke up early and walked less than a mile on the beach to a farmers market for acai bowls and bakery on the main road. (You can cut through and do the entire walk on the beach) the until in newly remodeled and the decor is a classy beach vibe. There is an on-site snorkel, boogie board etc rental place and a small sandwich shop with draft beer and good vibes. Also comes with free parking! The complex isn’t as updated but is in good shape and has a pool, heated jacuzzi and dry sauna. The grass area in front of the beach is the best part you can avoid sand and lounge but the beach if you want!also It is lit up all night so during the evening after dinner you can lounge on the grass or beach and listen to the waves and not be in the dark. The condos next door have outdoor twinkle lights so it’s makes for a great evening walk. The town of Kihei is centrally located so you are 20 minutes in any direction to all the other beaches and towns. Will definitely be staying here again. Oh they also gifted us reusable bamboo straws and a spare disposable mask for everyone in our party. Washer and dryer in unit was a life saver and the management company called on day 2 to see if we needed anything.
