Fabulous Family Home

Our grown kids and grandkids stayed for the week and it was a perfect layout with 3 king bedrooms and a bunk room. We all enjoyed the outdoor spaces as well. This is a lovely home!

Perfect Getaway

We spent the weekend with friends fishing from the dock, cooking and grilling great meals, watching movies, and loving the clean, comfortable, Seaside vibe of this great property. We can’t wait to go back!!

Best place we’ve ever stayed!

This home was perfect for our family getaway! Huge, beautiful, brand new house with lots of rooms and beds, the arcade upstairs was great for the kids, the outdoor area with huge deck, bar, grill and to top it off the pool, were all amazing!

Amazing property, perfect for multiple families

This was our second time staying at this amazing home. We come to Rockport for an annual family reunion and have 3 families staying here. The house is beautiful, clean and so well set up that the rest of the family wants to hang out with us. So highly recommended the Salty Dog!

Great Rockport Getaway

We loved our stay. The home was in a perfect location with all the things that we needed for a lovely weekend of fishing. We were able to tie up our boat on the canal and the kids loved all the outdoor spaces too! Comfy beds and great layout for multiple families! We will be back!

Great Setup

Three days are not enough to use everything this house has to offer. Great dock for tying up a bay boat. This is a great options when visiting Rockport!

The Salty Dog is an amazing house!

This was our second time to stay at the Salty Dog. We LOVE the house, and all it offers! The owners are super responsive and strive to make everything perfect- which they have always delivered! What a true gem by the sea

This stay has been nothing short of spectacular and probably will remain our only rental in rockport. We never needed for anything and had everything we could think of and then some. We had an amazing time and always had something to do. The home is beautiful and well equipped with everything. The patios and comfort to every space was wonderful. Best vacation ever and we never really left the house except to shop. We loved this home and had so much fun.

Our recent stay at this exquisite beach house rental was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were entranced by the stunning views and the relaxing ambiance of this coastal paradise. The beach house itself was immaculate and beautifully furnished, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The Salty Dog was Awesome!

My sister and our families thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Salty Dog! Our favorite place to spend time while we were there was on the spacious outdoor dock area with the refreshing pool! There were so many options for activities from our family cornhole tournament, to fishing, swimming, or a day trip to the awesome beach just 10 minutes away! Our host, Rhonda, was very responsive and we plan to return asap!

Beautiful rental you won't want to leave - perfect for large families

We recently stayed at The Salty Dog and loved every minute. Rhonda was a gracious host who communicated well and stocked this home with everything you need for a perfect vacation. We stayed with 3 families with kids ranging from 13-20. No one wanted to leave the house because every amenity was so nice. We spent hours in the pool and playing cornhole. The house brought our families closer together and we will definitely be back.

Hotties on the Harbor

Group of Couples and Friends came together for a fishing tournament. This was a great location accommodating all. Everything you would need to enjoy all the amenities was available at the property. Canal front allowed us to dock the boat. The pool was an amazing way to cool down from being on the water all day. All the gathering spaces made it easy for our group to visit comfortably. Our private rooms allowed for privacy also. Everything from the decor to the necessity items were top notch. Such a cozy, clean enjoyable property!

Perfect stay!

This house is truly in a great location in the Key Allegro channel community. Combined with a beautifully designed pool and backyard area, second and 3rd floor viewing decks and outdoor sound system, you have a great setup to relax waterside. Stand up paddleboards and kayaks are provided and my kids loved taking them out into the channel! Inside, the kitchen has a chef’s stove with a large island which gives you lots of area for big groups. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean. The owner Rhonda was a pleasure to deal with and was excellent and quick with communication. Definitely coming back!!

Can’t go wrong with this stay!!

This place was all that we had read and hoped it would be! Beautifully decorated, clean, cozy, and truly all the comforts of home, but better than home! The pool was awesome and well- maintained. Sunny in the early afternoon but shade offered by 2-3 in spots so all were happy with the sun and shade options. Lots of pool toys/floats. Was great to have the ice maker and an extra full refrigerator in the bar area on the ground level. Plenty of space - indoor and outdoor for small and large conversations. You can’t go wrong with this home choice! Host, Rhonda was very quick to respond and was even so kind to send back a boat shade that we left behind- went the extra mile for us! 5.0++

My husband and I are affectionally known as the "Chip & Jo" of our hometown! We own a construction company and love working on projects together (most of the time). I like to think we balance each other out pretty well since he's the math construction guy & I'm attempting to decorate a room before he's even finished. We have 3 daughters, and they keep us very busy with their activities, but we love to travel as a family and enjoy spending time together at our Rockport Home. We obviously also love dogs, and they tag along whenever they can, so we wanted to make the home as pet friendly as possible for your special friends too!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We started coming to Rockport a few years back to visit another family members home and always really enjoyed the vibe of the town. A couple years ago we began actively searching for a home and hit many dead ends. We just couldn't find one just right for our family & for rentals. Since we own a construction company, we just decided to go for it and build our own! This lot was a lot of fun to work with because in Key Allegro all the "fun" is in the back. Our canal footprint is quite large for a single lot and we took full advantage.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The Salty Dog offers all the fun in one location! Really comfortable living spaces for families to share inside as well all lots of room outside to spread out and have lots of fun! The home rental includes 2 stand up paddleboards & 2 kayaks as well as yard games to enjoy. The outside seating is really comfortable and relaxing, and each spot is so unique that I don't have a favorite one yet!
