Didn't catch more than two edible fish off the dock but good kayak fishing nearby. The stairs are tough but worth the views! Master bed needs a new mattress but everything else was nice in the house. We read previous reviews so we brought outdoor chairs for the multiple decks, all with fabulous views but only terrible lounge chairs. And only 5 chairs at the lovely big table.

The elevator needs to work! Also it would be nice if you had told us to bring towels, washcloths and kitchen towels. Only one per person for the week. While the furnishings are nice, they need to be updated. The living room furniture is very old and saggy and uncomfortable as well as the beds. But the furnishings look nice. The house is well stocked, ( desperately needs new kitchen skillets). House was clean The dock was very nice but we brought our boat and there were no steps to get in and out of it ?! Would recommend if people knew about steps and towels and dock

Potential magic but needs some love

This was the only house I could find for our dates in July so went in knowing there were some issues but reserved it anyway. I would say there’s lots to love/hate about this place- Loved - Large home On the bay Fantastic views Spotless inside Kayak launch 2 doors down Fish were biting Hated - No useable deck furniture (no cushions) Jacuzzi dirty/not serviced Fish-cleaning sink outside full of trash No bath mats Very minimal kitchen provisions Outdated furniture and no dresser in primary bedroom No dock ladder so not useable by boat This house is not rented by owner. It’s managed by a vacation rental business and has obviously not been used by the owners in many years. A simple maintenance punch list might include- Replace burned out light bulbs Fix broken blinds Fix broken door locks Repair damaged ceilings - level 3 Bathrooms on levels 2,3,4 are all wheelchair accessible but elevator is non-functional. A tiny, but telling, little thing is that the guest book ran out of pages in 2021 and has never been replaced or removed. Would love to see this house transformed with a little TLC. Maybe the owners are ready to sell? St. George Island is worth the trip no matter where you stay!

Not a safe place for children

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: They views were beautiful and the dock was great. The house not so great. This is the first house I have ever left a bad review. The windows on the 2nd and 3rd floor did not have screens and easily open all the way with a turn handle allowing for a child to easily fall. The bedroom with two twin beds window did not shut all they way and therefore did not lock. If a child was to push it or lean up against it. it would open up. The twin bed sat next to this window which scared me even more. It also was extremely warm in the room because of outside heat getting in. The concrete on the main level is extremely slick when it rains and so is the tile throughout the house. Please be very careful with kids in this house. The house was dirty, mold on the ceilings, smelt fowl and the washer and dryer made our clothes smell. Basic things were missing, no hand towels in the bathroom, very little cooking utensils/dishes, no dish soap, no trash bags at all. The hot water on the top floor did not work. There are no cushions for patio chairs so you can’t sit out side. Spa was cold with foul smell. Sent a message to the management company and have not heard back from them. My BIGGEST concern is those windows, especially the one that will not close/lock in a room designed for children. Never leave a child unattended in that room.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed here multiple times. The dock makes for beautiful sunsets and the house is easy to spot if you rent a boat. The mattress on the top floor really needs to be replaced. Living room furniture is a bit worn, and internet is a little spotty, but we spent most of our time outside anyway. Kitchen had plenty dishes, silverware and etc. Great to cook meals in and nice table for family to eat together.

Bay view is exceptional!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a pretty house. But as mentioned by others, there are four levels, 16 stairs between each. Kitchen is on the 3rd level, master at the top. Two bedrooms on the second level. Each level has a bathroom except entry level. Elevator isn't functioning as Hurricane Michael totally destroyed the mechanics. The view is beautiful, Pelicans visited daily. Walking the neighborhood is enjoyable and beach access is a quarter of a mile away. Sun Coast did an AMAZING job switching us between properties due to our original rental having been sold just two weeks before our arrival.

But not enough chairs at the table to eat. Only one steak knife in the house. Couch and chairs very old and worn out. Sink instead of sit. It says no pets. But pet hair all over the furniture and floors. Cause allergy problems for us. Very under stocked. We booked for the week with 6 people. One garbage bag. No dish soap. One towel per person. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom. Wood coming loose from ceiling in living room. On a positive note, Ac wasn’t working on second floor. Called about it and they were very quick to fix it. Please up grade!

Disappointing

First of all I want to say this house was clean and has amazing sunset views. Those were the two best things about it. Unfortunately this house is not stocked with much at all. If you need it, you should bring it with you. It also has LOTS of stairs so it is not well suited for small children or anyone who may struggle with stairs. It has an elevator but I guess the owner does not want guests using it. We had to carry everything up 2 & 3 flights of stairs. The furniture (beds & sofa specifically) are very uncomfortable & the sofa smelled awful. The small deck/porch areas on each floor were not at all inviting or comfortable as the only seating was 3 lounge chairs that were not very comfortable. The hot tub had just been cleaned (the guy who cleaned it was leaving as we were arriving) and it was nice.

House comfortable and navigating the stairs wasn’t bad once we were unloaded. As we stayed in and cooked, we brought our own kitchen items we can’t live without, i.e. sharp knife, cast iron skillet. Easy beach access. We’ll be back next year, same place, same time.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place is poorly furnished. 3 stories. Get ready for cardio workout! Elevator supposedly not working. We were given this place as an upgrade to the original rental that was double booked. Wasn’t told the upgrade meant straight up! ACs not working well. Many of the blinds are broke. Kitchen poorly furnished. Just not a good rental unit. Definitely not renting this unit a 2nd time and maybe not renting from Suncoast again!

Good Place Overall!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Super easy rental/check-in process. The house was at a great location on the bay! Awesome fishing off the dock! Do note the house interior is slightly outdated with some amenities not functioning. Remember to bring everything you need as the house has few common items (etc. Trash Bags, Scissors, Detergent) Also, beware of the stairs!! They are a workout! Overall, a good home for a good vacation!
