The building is about 300 feet from the sand which makes it perfect for water sports or nice walks on the beach. The updated kitchen has plenty of counter and cupboard space and is open to the dining area The side view from the dining area overlooks a waterway, upscale residential home and includes ocean and beach views. Looking to the northwest is the beautiful Maalaea Harbor and when light up at night provides quite a sight from the lanai, dining and living room areas. The master and guest bath have walk-in showers and are nicely appointed. The floor plan is spacious and the corner location offers privacy and extra windows to enjoy the view. The large covered lanai is the perfect place to dine, watch for whales during season, turtles year round, relax and watch the sunset blaze and fade into the ocean and let's not forget the moon sets!. This property is conveniently located just minutes away from shopping, dining, golf, entertainment venues and all of the beautiful south shores beaches.

For 40 years we have been coming to Maui to enjoy the Aloha spirit of this island. To now have a place to call home and share with others is a dream come true. We have recently completed a total renovation of our Maui home making it more wonderful than it was and we are excited to share it with our repeat guests and our new guests. We welcome you to come stay at our Happy Pappy's Papaya Pad and enjoy all the glory this place has to offer including an exquisite view, spectacular sunsets, sandy beaches, inviting ocean, water sports, hiking, waterfalls and good vibes! Beautiful well appointed condo on the beach

Spacious and beautifully updated Kihei condo on the beach. Perfect size and sleeping accommodations for four adults. Smaller complex so quiet and low key. Had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen very well stocked. Already looking forward to returning next year. Thank you!

Beautiful location

This was our second trip back! The view from the condo is perfect for whale watching and taking in the sunset. The condo is nice and clean. We really enjoyed our time here.

Christmas vacation for a family of four

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of four. Our teens comfortably shared the second bedroom and we loved hanging out in the common areas, especially the lanai. The beach and pool access were great and the location was perfect and easy to access all the activities we were so looking forward to. We will be back!

Such an amazing place.

The condo itself was so nice, spacious, well-though out, clean, super nicely stocked, and beautiful. We got this place for the second four days of our Maui trip. First four were in a busies part of Kihei, and this was such an amazingly nice and relaxing Oasis to spend the days at. The lanai is amazing to watch sunsets from every night, and the kitchen was nicely stocked with everything -- including a blender to make sunset watching Mai Tais with. We loved it. Also, the property manager is super kind and embodies the Aloha spirit. Thanks!

Beautiful and comfortable

We spent an amazing week at this property with our 18 month old daughter. It was perfect for us and for her. There is a wonderful baby beach steps away from the property, with turtles that rest nearby. The apartment has been very thoughtfully stocked with equipment for those who cook. The view is beautiful and the pictures accurately reflect the appearance of the home. This is one of the best short-term rentals I’ve ever stayed at.

Kihei Stay

This was our first time visiting Maui and we had an amazing time. The condo set the standard and tone for the trip - everything about it was immaculate and accommodating. We will plan to visit again and would def choose this property as well.

North Kihei

What a beautiful remodel! The sliders just keep opening bringing the outside in. We were able to watch the whales and the sunset right from the patio. Great location, it is close to the grocery stores and food trucks. We will definitely stay here again!

Did not disappoint

This was the first time for my niece to visit Maui. I haven’t been in over 10 years. This unit was perfect. Comfortable, beautiful, great view, quiet, and very well supplied. It even had grilling utensils and beach chairs. Loved that it was a corner unit too. Linda communicated well and timely. Check in was effortless. Highly recommend it. The beach is not the best for swimming so it wasn’t crowded. There are plenty of quality beaches the island to visit.

Absolutely beautiful and newly renovated condo. Whale watching from our balcony was excellent! Very close to fun restaurants, groceries, and activities. Great communications with mgr. We loved our stay, and are planning to return. Mahalo!

Great stay near the beach and more!

This place was perfect for our group of four. It was clean, modern, has a full kitchen for all our needs, and has a balcony that overlooks the ocean – amazing to wake up to every morning! The beach is basically in your background and not overcrowded. The location is great too as it's only a 5-10 minute drive to the busier part of Kihei. I would definitely recommend this place and would come back to stay here. The property manager is also very responsive and helpful with any issues/concerns.

Perfect Kehei views

Great location on beach side. Property is immaculate and condo beautiful. Very well appointed kitchen with everything you need. Nice touches like beach chairs. Will stay here again. Do note that if you stay in Kehei that all the good condos are on the busy main road so you will hear some road noise. But the trade off is being able to see whales from you balcony 🌺

Location Location Location but

Great location (beach, sunset, view, not close to town). Beach was not very busy and close. The apartment itself was functional and best kitchen supplies of any VRBO I have stayed at. However, overall the apartment has a rundown and aged feeling. Some minor updates would impact the overall feel. Replacing the carpet, couch, second bathroom sink. Lastly use pressure regulating shower heads for us that like a gentle shower.

Amazing view and a great property

Really enjoyed this rental property. The view is absolutely amazing and the beach is right there in front of you. The unit could use some updating (which the property manager said would be occurring over the summer), but that didn't detract from the stay at all. The unit was very clean and well stocked with cooking dishes/utensils. The central location on Maui and so much food locally was great. The property manager was very communicative and really wanted to make sure we were aware that there was some noisy construction going on on the other side of the building (not that we heard it at all). That level of concern and communication definitely made me interested in staying at this unit or another unit on this property. Really great place and would definitely be looking at this or other KOA Lagoon properties in the future.
