This cozy cabin is located in a quiet country setting in Central New York. Richfield Springs area has many lakes for boating and fishing in the summer and ice fishing, snow skiing, and snowmobiling in the winter. In the Fall, enjoy hiking or mountain biking in the brisk air and fall colors. If golf is your game....there are many challenging golf courses nearby with rolling hills. Cooperstown, home of The Baseball Hall of Fame, has shopping, The Fenimore Art Museum, and restaurants ten minutes away. The Glimmerglass Opera and Glimmerglass State Park are twenty minutes away. Enjoy skiing in the Adirondack or the Catskill's an hour North or South of the cabin. Or just stay home and enjoy a puzzle, board games, or pool in the game room. Work out in the loft gym, or relax on the front porch. A fire in the backyard fire pit is a perfect ending to a fun-filled day. The cabin is in a rural setting where city water is unavailable. Our well is equipped with an in-line filter. High-speed fiber-optic wireless internet has recently been installed. The TVs come equipped with digital streaming and many movie apps. The house is also equipped with a 50amp charger, for any Electric Vehicle to charge while staying. The cabin also has a pack-n-play and booster seat for small children. Every family can make memories lasting a lifetime at this cabin.
This was a great property in countryside but close to amenities. The game room was a big hit as well as the fire pit. Would highly recommend for a family get away!
Iâve stayed in a number of vrboâs and this is the first I have been compelled to write a review because the experience was so positive. Property and cabin was clean and in great condition. Linens and beds were very comfortable. Owner was extremely responsive and location was about 25 minutes from Cooperstown. We saw a ton of wildlife in the area including deer, groundhogs, a fox, chipmunks, and turkeys. Great place to stay!
Three bedrooms (one a loft) with generous great room and other amenitiesâwas enough for our family of three couples. While master bathroom (associated with loft bedroom) is generous, second full bathroom is tinyâno counter space or room for towels despite the fact that it was shared between two bedrooms and public space. (Half bath in basement is a plus.) Also, bath towels had seen better days and there were not enough hand towels to go around (plus no place to hang them). Be aware that you will need to drink bottled water (the hosts provided enough to get us started).
This beautiful cabin is the perfect country getaway. We've stayed at this property multiple times while visiting family and love it! It was our first time staying in winter, and it couldn't have been more warm and cozy inside!
We absolutely love staying at this cabin while visiting with family in the area. The location is the perfect quiet country retreat- while being a quick, easy drive to many local places too! Wonderful hosts are always quick to respond to any questions as well. We will definitely be back!
This property was perfect for our group of 10! Lots of room and nice yard for kids to play. Upon arrival, the place was clean and tidy. It was close enough to Cooperstown which was the reason for our stay in the first place. We would definitely recommend and if we go back to Cooperstown in the future we would definitely stay here again
Property is very clean and very nice. Our family had a great time at the cabin while attending Coopertown baseball tournament. I would recomend to the next person debating it
Cabin was beautiful and hosts were responsive and helpful! Yard was great, kitchen is gorgeous, living room and kitchen are a great gathering space. We saw some great birds at the feeder right from the dining table. Enjoyed a great weekend with family here.
This home was very clean, well stocked, and super pretty. It was spacious and comfortable for relaxing and cooking between games at Cooperstown Dreams Park. This was one of the best rental homes we have experienced. It was a further drive to Dreams Park (30 mins) than we would have preferred, but the drive was scenic along Otsego Lake and the stay was worth it.
We stayed at this property while my son played baseball in Cooperstown. Just a short, beautiful drive to Cooperstown. The cabin was very nice and very clean and had everything we needed. I enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. My family and I felt right at home. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in this area, choose this house, you will not regret it.
Loved the cabin in Richfield Springs. Very clean and was perfect for our family. We were visiting the area for our sonâs Cooperstown baseball tournament and would stay again in the future.

Two families w kids at Cooperstown. This house was awesome! Plenty of room and very clean and new! It was a 25 min drive to Dreams Park but it was such a pretty drive it was fun to make. Owner was super sweet! Highly recommend!
Very nice property. Open floor plan in secluded location close to Cooperstown. Very well maintained and comfortable.. A ton of movie videos. Outstanding kitchen. Pool table was a solid.
My family and I stayed at this beautiful and clean home on Memorial Day weekend. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. It was a picturesque 15 minute easy drive to Doubleday field and Baseball Hall of Fame. I would highly recommend this home for a Cooperstown trip. The communication with the owner was quick and easy.
This home has everything you need and more! The house is easy to access and secluded enough to feel like youâre removed from it all.
The house has so many hidden charms that instantly make you feel right at home! The fire pit is perfect for enjoying the starry night sky comfortably. The kitchen was easy to prepare a family meal while enjoying each otherâs company. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend booking this home!
The cabin is absolutely gorgeous, very clean, and oh so comfortable! It is very spacious and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The property and surrounding area is so beautiful - the fall colors were just stunning! The location is perfect - only 3 miles from stores, gas stations, etc., but far enough away to feel secluded and enjoy the peace & nature. The owner is very sweet, and communication was a breeze. Our family of 6 had the most wonderful time here. We enjoyed the fire pit, horseshoes, the nearby lake, billiards in the game room, watching football on the big screen tv, visiting Cooperstown, and so much more. Thank you for sharing your amazing country cabin!
Other than a little loss of privacy with the loft King Bed Room, and just Queens rather than King Beds in the two other bedrooms, the floor plan and amenities were excellent. It is set is a very quiet, pretty rural setting. It was a very pleasant, pretty, 20-minute drive to the sites of Cooperstown. I would recommend it. The billiard table in the cellar was of good quality. The living room and kitchen were spacious.
Very nice four days. Went to see our grandson play little league baseball. Fields were farther than we realized, but that was a miss communication on which tournament he was playing at. His was the one near Oneonta. But we still had a great time.
The New York house is a wonderful place for a stay in the Cooperstown area. The property was easy to access and looked exactly like the photos on the website! The front and back porches were great places to relax both for breakfast and in the evening. We saw deer crossing the lawn the first evening we were there and the birds were always happy! All the bedrooms are comfortable and the kitchen/dining area is awesome. The kitchen is well equipped which we appreciated even though we only did breakfast and snacks there. We would have taken advantage of the horseshoes, croquet and fire pit if the weather had been more cooperative...next time! The house has easy access to everything in Cooperstown and it's a really pretty drive to get there. All in all, we would highly recommend the property if you are in the Cooperstown area.
Michael Jastremski has grown up in the Richfield area and has married the love of his life and moved part-time to Florida. The family home burned down in 2017. Michael and Donna built a new home on the property in 2020.
This property is perfect for a family wishing to visit the Cooperstown area during Baseball Hall of Fame induction week or for Dreams Park Baseball Camps during the summer. In the fall, there are many hiking or biking trails to view the beautiful fall colors. In the winter, the house is situated across the street from the many snowmobile trails in the New York Snowmobile Association.
This property provides the perfect getaway from the city life and brings each visitor a taste of the country life while providing the comforts of home.
