à propos de cet hébergement
âïžTreetop Bungalowâïž
If youâve ever wondered what itâs like to stay in a tiny house-there isnât a better opportunity than now.
BoHo Bungalow is a charming 372 sq ft. studio nestled among the treetops overlooking the beautiful, tranquil waters of the Bahamas. Just waitâŠyouâll be as blown away as we are! The inside is absolutely adorable, but most of our time is spent in the 700 sq ft. of covered outdoor space!
Take one step inside the door to be met by the beautiful ocean blues with a panoramic view of our favorite ocean on Earth. The entire width of our bungalow is framed in picture windows with impact glass. When designing our home, we wanted to take full advantage of the view from every angle. So, whether you are inside relaxing on our plush sofa or napping on the porch on one of the two outdoor couches, the view is top notch.
(Side Note: Watch your step when walking out onto the porch as we stepped down 6 inches to ensure the handrails wouldnât impact the view from inside our bungalow.)
We also have two loungers and hammocks on the patio downstairs for the times itâs a little windy upstairs! Or, maybe you just want the views of the indigenous flowers, papaya trees, banana palms, and plush grass below.
Our kitchen is a wonderful galley with bright purple cabinets-to be honest, itâs my favorite part of our home. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so weâve made certain anyone who loves to cook as much as I do, is set with all of the things you need to make a good meal. Donât worry-If you are like my other half & donât really want to spend so much time in the kitchen on vacation, there are wonderful restaurants here on the island who would love to serve you some fresh conch fritters, grilled wahoo or lobster from the local waters!
We have a small percolator, an espresso machine and a Moka pot for your choice in your morning cup of ambition!
You will have access to our washer & dryer and a small closet to store your things. Who am I kidding? Everything in this house is small!
Our wall mounted, smart tv pivots to view from either the bed or the couch. Feel free to sign in to your Netflix account or bring your firestick! TV watching is available but, itâs definitely a secondary activity for us. WiFi is available throughout the bungalow!
Our bathroom is the home to a custom tiled shower OR you can escape to our favorite place to shower which is in the great outdoors! We have a hot/cold shower on the south side of the property with incredible water pressure. There is something magical about showering in nature among all the tropical trees.
We have a queen size bed which looks out on the north side to the beautiful water. We believe in quality bedding-so, organic/sustainable bedding it is. If you want to sleep in, we suggest you use the little hooks along the top of the windows to hang the curtains to allow for that extra đ€. There is a noise machine on the bedside table for your use, unless you enjoy waking up to the đ crowsâŠ
Something to consider while on island and in our home is energy usage. When we started our Caribbean travels over 20 years ago, we were taught a new way of thinking in regards to island infrastructure. One of the things that is most shocking is the price of electricity on the island. While we are so grateful to have our own electric company on island (with very minimal power outages), the cost of electricity is much higher than in the states. Little changes make a big difference, for us & the island.
We will provide you with a starter pack of essentials: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags. The island grocery store, Food Fair-has all the items you will need to stock up on for your stay! There are reusable grocery bags in the bungalow for shopping as the Bahamas has eliminated single use plastic. YAY!
We have a strict NO SMOKING policy. If you are a smoker, please consider renting another home on the island. I have asthma and cigarette smoke is very harmful to my health. Since we use the home a lot of the year, we cannot have any smoking on our property. Thank you in advance for keeping my lungs healthy!
When we think of our bungalow, we think of Shakespeareâs quote in A Midsummer Nightâs Dream, âThough she be but little, she is fierce.â đ The energy of this space is a whole vibe & we would love for you to be our guest! Reach out if you have any questions or if you would like to book your stay! âš
How you get here:
There are many airlines that fly to ELH-with Delta and American being the two largest airlines with daily flights. Once you arrive at ELH, we will have Pinder taxi service waiting for you. You will jump in a 15 passenger van and be driven a few miles to Geneâs Bay dock, where the same person will bring you over to Spanish wells via the ferry! Or-if you prefer taking another taxi from the airport-you can hop on the government ferry for the short jaunt to Spanish Wells! Either way, its a quick trip from landing in Eluethera and having your toes in the sand on Spanish Wells!
From there our caretaker will meet you! We suggest renting a golf cart (buggy is the island name) and having the use of it during your stay. Buggy rentals are $50 a day and totally part of the magic of this island! We can set that up for you in advance-just let us know your wishes!
I am available by email or text before you travel and while you are on island. We love this little piece of paradise, so if you have questions, I would love to help answer them. Vince & Lori manage our property and will be a great asset to you should you need anything during your stay!

Foire aux questions
Qui vous reçoit ?
Vous ĂȘtes reçu par Heather Stanfill
Iâm from Tennessee & spent my career as a collegiate softball coach. I took an early retirement to spend time traveling to our bungalow in the Bahamas as well as adventuring the US in our campervan. We also have a tiny home on my family farm in Tennessee.
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
For years we have traveled to different islands only dreaming of life in the tropics. But, in 2016, we traveled to Spanish Wells for the first time & fell in love! We finished our build in the summer of 2020 & spent the majority of the pandemic in the Bahamas. We are now ready to share her with others.âïž
