Rickhouse: A structure designed to store and age distilled spirits.

Sparked from a passion for fine spirits and the idea that a home can contain all the makings to craft the perfect cocktail, the Rickhouse was born. Featuring chesterfield leather seating, a vast collection of cocktail glasses, regulated 4-tier humidor and spirits-centric art, it strikes the perfect match of comfort and eccentricity.

NuLu (New Louisville) is known for its stylish bars, splashy art, unique goods and an ever-growing number of the best new local eateries. Your house is located one street behind the main strip, so walking to the heart of NuLu is less than 5 minutes!

The Bourbon Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ full bath right outside the door. This bedroom contains custom built bourbon barrel walls, sourced from Kentucky’s finest distilleries.

The Sotol Bedroom: 1 King Bed w/ connected full bath. This bedroom features Sotol (AKA the Desert Spoon) - a clear spirit primarily crafted in Mexico and was introduced to us by way of Texas distillery, Desert Door.

The Rickhouse has a fully fenced backyard with a patio, grill and fire pit. We supply the charcoal and firewood (when in season).

Free street parking is available directly in front of the house. Whether you prefer walking, biking, scooter-ing or Uber-ing, there's so much to do and see around you - and lots of ways to get there.

Great stay and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Bed a little firmer than I like, but everyone else loved the beds. Great communication with the host and excellent amenities at the house. Just wish it wasn't raining, so that we could have used the backyard space. Guess we will just have to come back!

Prime NuLu location

Fantastic location! Just a short and easy walk to the NuLu area—perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, wine tasting, a distillery visit, and even a great ice cream shop! Downtown is only a quick Lyft ride away.The house was perfect for two couples—stylish, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed (and more). We loved the decor and thoughtful touches throughout. Communication was smooth and responsive. Highly recommend!

A great place in NULU

This house has everything you need for a great stay in NULU. It’s in a great location within walking distance to many restaurants, bars and boutiques. The house is well stocked, comfortable and clean. The hosts are accessible and very helpful. 10/10 recommend!

Nice place, great host

Really nicely decorated home, very clean too. Kitchen had nice appliances and high quality cookware, which we don't always see, and the kitchen/bathrooms were well stocked with all the personal items you might need. Hosts were extremely responsive. Only downside is, while the location is in walking distance to a lot of great things, it is a block off the main drag. We felt safe walking around, but someone was able to get into our car overnight, clearly looking for cash or quick change. (The only thing I had of value in there was my pickleball paddle, which they didn't bother to take.) So make sure to lock up and don't keep valuables in your car!

Great place to stay

Wonderful property. Hosts have a list of recommendations that was excellent. Have been to Louisville about 5 times, good area to stay. Can walk to a few distilleries, restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing house!

Absolutely spectacular property and the owners were incredibly gracious and helpful! The house is immaculate and has an awesome bourbon theme. The backyard fire pit was so much fun to hang out at night and drink our daily bourbon finds. It is within a 5 minute walk to a bunch of great restaurants and bars. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Lovely NULU property

We loved our stay! The decor was charming and home VERY clean. It was close to many activities and food choices. We enjoyed the recommendations given prior to our stay as well. Communication was excellent and check in/ check out was super easy. Would definitely stay again!!

Had a great time in and around Louisville. Property was everything that was advertised. Had a small plumbing issue which was immediately resolved by the property owner. Loved the home. Would stay here again.

Memorial Day Retreat

The property was wonderful! We really enjoyed the backyard and the ability to smoke cigars. Everything was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the softness and smell of the bathroom towels. Awesome details from barware to even makeup remover wipes! It was within walking distance to several restaurants, distilleries, microbreweries and shops. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Enjoyed the outdoor seating. We really had no complaints. The living and kitchen area was comfortable and easy. If we get back to that area, we would try to book the same place.

Kyle and Kenzie have a stylish home that has been beautifully restored and completed with excellent modern conveniences. Thoughtful touches in every room made it easy to be at home in this fun location; close to interesting restaurants and not far from downtown Louisville. Pristinely clean. We hope to return. Perfect 10

Charming, beautiful appointed , and every tool needed to make a proper cocktail! Beds were super comfy, loved the outdoor fire pit and having a beautiful comfy space to hang out with friends was perfect for our visit. The neighborhood was slightly more transitional than we expected but the overall the location is fabulous. Kenzie was super helpful with recommendations. Hope to return soon!!

Beautifully decorated

This property looks exactly like the pictures. Super cool on the inside! The only thing that caught us off guard was the neighborhood. It definitely looks like it’s going through a rebuild process. Other than that, it’s really close to NuLu and within walking distance to lots of spots.

Property was immaculate and had all necessary amenities. Beds very confrontable. I liked the backyard to sit and enjoy a drink and cigar. Kenzie always kept in contact and was a great help with an issue not related to the house but with something outside that effected the house.

Perfect!

From the minute you enter the Rickhouse, you know you're going to have a fantastic experience! Decor was perfect for the bourbon vibe we were there for. Home was spotless & comfortable. Other than a drive to Jim Beam Distillery, we walked everywhere. Guacamole & Lu-Lu on Main were fantastic eateries! We agreed, we came for the bourbon but would stay for the food! Rabbit Hole Distillery Tour was a great beginning to our day! Awesome tour! Walking to Whiskey Row and doing the Urban Bourbon Trail was so much fun! Each bar had a different feel. Finishing our evening at the Rickhouse, sitting out back around the fire, was the perfect ending to our day. Couldn't thank you enough! Gene, Merrie, Troy & Renae

GORGEOUS, Comfy, perfect location - Just WOW!!

We feel so lucky to have been some of the first guests of this absolute GEM!! Everything has been thought of, and the hosts should win an award for their incredible sense of style. We travel a ton, and this was a 6 star stay. You feel like you're in a luxury boutique hotel that pulls elements from the roaring 20's, to modern Luxe... Beautiful inside and out, super comfy beds, everything you could need to enjoy fancy cocktails, cooking, cigars by a nice fire pit, & easy walking distance to everything we needed, including awesome food suggestions by the hosts! Parking was a breeze, and each bedroom is a unique Master quality space. We've absolutely found our new Kentucky home, and can't imagine staying anywhere else in Louisville after this trip. Thanks for rocking it, Kenzie & Kyle - WE WILL BE BACK!!
