We stayed here to enjoy the bourbon trail. It was easy access, within short distance to Uber/Lyft to downtown for dinner & drinks in evening. Would definitely book again.
At first we were a little skeptical with where the property was located in the neighbourhood but overall the surrounding area was quiet and no issues occurred. Inside, the property is decorated nicely with great appliances and furnishing. The Host was nothing but great and responsive.
This VRBO was spacious and accommodated our need for 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Good location for the varied activities we had planned for the days we were there. Very nice kitchen with great appliances. The host, Tyler was attentive and followed through with the items we needed to make our stay enjoyable.
We were in town for a convention and this house was a 8 minute ride from downtown. We were cozy and enjoyed the opportunity to gather at the end of the day. Our host was responsive and accommodating.
This is a cool place! Just what we needed for our family. We loved the character. Plenty of room, well-stocked, clean. We wish we could have stayed for longer. We'll be back!
My husband and I drove from NC to take our son to his UofL orientation. Weâve only been to Louisville twice & weâre not familiar with the best areas to stay. What weâve discovered is anything close to campus is not the best neighborhoods. However, this property was very nice, & Tyler is an extremely attentive host!
Really wonderfully updated historic home, great kitchen, bathrooms and space! We were back and forth to a distillery tour, then out to dinner downtown, and it couldnât have been more convenient. Tyler was great at communicating with me and very helpful and accommodating. The parking pad in the back is so great, but the alley is very narrow and has some obstacles to navigate as you get in and out. The neighbor next door was so nice and gave us tips. It is a city neighborhood, and this is one of the more updated homes on the block. If you are ok with that, this is a terrific place to stay! It was perfect for our stay in Louisville and we will be coming back.
An ideally located, remodeled, single family dwelling in a gentrifying neighborhood. we left our dog crate along the fencewall for a week before loading it back into the SUV.
About a 10' drive downtown and the same to 'Eat Street' in the Highlands neighborhood along Bardstown. We had Southern fried chicken at the Eagle, Irish pub fare at Molly Malones and great food, including sake on tap, at the Dragon King's Daughter.
Pics are accurate. Casual dining (no formal dining room) was fine for our group of 5. High end range with gas cooktop, both a regular and Keurig. I bring my own knives and did not test those in the home.
You'd never suspect, when inside, that the bones of the structure could be 150? yrs old.
The pitch of the staircase to the master suite is quite steep and the handrails were necessary.
you can leave shampoo, conditioner, & body wash at home as the bathrooms have bottles on the wall. We brought a hair dryer and immersion blender and needed neither.
I'm a fan of natural light...and privacy. Would have preferred venetian blinds to the barely translucent window treatments, but it's Tyler's home!
A couple of dog parks were members only. There is a dog park bar! but we did not partake.
If you are flying in and staying for more than a weekend renting a car might be best. Uber rates for 2.5 mi. seemed absurd. If you are attending an event there is all day parking for $6, the Wharf lot right below the Yum Center
We came down for a swim meet at the university of Louisville and the property was very close and met all our requirements to for a quick weekend trip with kids.
The house was very clean, well appointed and charming. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Tyler was very attentive and responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay.
