The size of the house was perfect for my family. We have stayed here 3 times now and this last timeâŠa shuffle board was added! That made this an even better stay!
The place was nice and well-kept. Overall, it was clean and perfect for a quick 1-2 night stay. Everything we would need was provided, and it was not very far from the distilleries.
We had a wonderful stay. Iâm always hesitant to stay in any âpet friendlyâ places because of my daughterâs allergies but this place was so clean, you wouldnât know it was pet friendly. Our only complaint would be the noise from the highway at night. It was pretty loud in the front bedroom.
We brought our whole family, including grandparents and dog, to visit our daughter at U of L. The location was perfect for campus, sightseeing, and hitting all the best restaurants.
Host was very helpful with local info throughout the stay. Love the courtyard and side porch area. The rooms were spacious. Everyone had a great Derby weekend!
We had a lovely stay at Fillies and Lilies with our family. We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities and cleanliness of the house. It was decorated beautifully with delightful attention to detail. The record player was a nice touch, and the kids and adults both enjoyed it. The house was close to the primary attractions in Louisville, making it easy to come and go. For families with kids, we recommend Noble Funk Brewing Company as it has a large area to play outside.
I currently live outside of Louisville with my husband and two boys. I have been renovating homes for over 10 years and hosting vacation rentals for the past 5 years. Old houses make me happy :)
Old Louisville is full of 100+ year old Victorian houses with so much charm and character! It is the central-most location in Louisville, making it convenient to virtually anywhere in the city.
We had so much fun decorating his home with local art, bourbon and Derby decor, and all of the amenities of home while maintaining it's historical character. Homey, central to anything in the city, and spacious!
