Welcome to our sweet little retreat! We wanted to create a cozy and welcoming place for our guests to come and relax, spend time with family and make wonderful memories, and also create a special place for Bride's to get ready and spend their special weekend!

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise while enjoying a hot cup of coffee on our comfy patio, or enjoy a glass of wine while playing cornhole, swinging in the hammock, or sitting around the fire pit for sunset!

Easy access to Oberlin College

Great place to stay as a group for Oberlin's opera production. Check-in was easy and host communicated well. Would just ask for a few more large bowls in kitchen to mix things and for salad making. Also this would be a difficult location (with the stairs) for people with mobility issues. My mother in law (78) had some concern going up and down given steepness to 2nd floor.

Perfect for the wedding party to stay at.

This home had everything needed and then some. The owner takes pride in their house and pays attention to details and tries to think of anything you might need. They go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. I would highly recommend this home for a getaway! Great peeps and place!

BEST STAY EVER!

This house was the most amazing place!!! I had a huge wedding with 12 bridesmaids and a bunch of family, and this bridal house was able to comfortably fit us all plus hair and makeup vendors!! not only was it spacious, it was also so beautiful! We did sunrise pictures in the stunning backyard field. Katrina and Mark were so responsive and accommodating! They left me some bridal surprises upon arrival, which were super cute and so unexpected! Wish I could get married again just to stay here all over!

The Sweetest and most Beautiful!

Just as described and even more beautiful than the photos, if that is even possible. We were so grateful to have stayed here although there were no brides, at this time, in our group. :) We hope to visit Oberlin College & Conservatory again soon and hope to stay here in the future.

Beautiful home

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful home viewing the 2024 eclipse. The property was just as the photos, clean and comfortable. Great place to stay!

Terrific Stay

We were in town to drop our son off at college for the first time. The property was the perfect choice- clean, homey, and lovely. Owners were delightful and it is obvious that they really love this property and want guests to have the best stay. We enjoyed our stay!

Great for gathering

This bridal retreat was everything it was advertised to be and was great for our family Thanksgiving gathering. We had 6 adults staying at the house in the 3 bedrooms and were able to host a 12 person dinner in the large space on the main floor. The only drawback was the spotty (slow, inconsistent) internet connection, but luckily we brought a board game and a deck of cards to entertain us. I would definitely return to this VRBO.

Oberlin College Drop-Off

Coming from the East Coast, we needed housing in/near Oberlin, OH for an extended stay for 4-5 adults to drop off a newly minted Freshman at Oberlin College. The Retreat turned out to be perfect for our needs. It is less then 10 minutes away from campus in downtown Oberlin, and is also very close to all the restaurants and businesses in downtown Elyria, OH. The Retreat is very spacious and very well equipped. Most importantly, our hosts were the absolute best. When we arrived there were special treats waiting for us, as well as a lovely note congratulating our new college student and wishing her all the best. And they were incredibly responsive to any questions/needs we had. Simply put, both the place and Katrina & Mark are simply fabulous, and we’d recommend anyone looking for a place for a getaway in this part of the world to book the retreat ASAP!

Relaxing stay

Thank you Katrina for a lovely stay! She detailed everything and things I didn't even thought to ask about. Very responsive in all forms of communications. It was very nice to include some of the extra things like the fire pit and such. The house was bigger than we expected from the pictures. Oh, and the binder of recommendations and the welcome sign was a nice really nice touch. Thanks!

Family fishing trip

This house was lovely! We stayed with in laws for a weekend fish on lake Erie. The house was beautiful, had everything we needed, and plenty of space. In person, the house is even more beautiful and clean than the pictures depicted. We felt at home right away and enjoyed all of the personal touches. Would highly recommend! We would definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Everything you need to host a large group

Katrina and Mark were fantastic hosts. Their beautiful home exceeded expectations and was perfect for our group. The layout of the home is perfect for hosting a large group and the huge open-concept first floor is a great space to gather for games or a movie. They were great at communicating with us and made our experience all the better with the personal touches they added for our group. Thanks so much Katrina and Mark for the hospitality!

My husband and I are wedding photographers. We saw a need in the industry for a beautiful space for bride's to get ready, have hair and makeup done, and just relax and get ready for their wedding day! So we wanted to create a cozy and glamorous environment that would be fun, relaxing, and provide for beautiful photos! But not just bride's love our home! We have hosted so many wonderful families for so many reasons and we love sharing this historic home with everyone.

We put our heart and souls into turning this historic old school house into a super cozy comfy space for our guests to come relax and unwind. We have stayed at many vacation homes in the past and tried to put everything we could think of to make our home comfortable and provide the necessities one may need while traveling. It's ultra chic decor and comfortable beds make a perfect mix of a fun, cute, luxury stay!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our beautiful old school house is located on a corner lot and is surrounded by beautiful farmland. It's so peaceful! We decorated the covered patio in the back and furnished it with comfy outdoor seating so our guests can enjoy the sunrise AND sunset! Take in the view and just relax.
