Our family vacation to my old hometown

It was awesome to be able to rent a house in my old neighborhood. The beach is hardly a 10 min walk and the neighborhood is nice and quiet! The house was amazing and we’ll definitely do this again!

Amazing home!

My family absolutely loved this place! The game room was a huge hit. This home was spotless and decorated fabulously. We had everything we could need and we felt right at home. Would love to come back someday.

Annual family beach time

This is a perfect home for teens and preteens, parents and grandparents! The game room on the lower level was a perfect spot for the kids and adults to hang out. Outdoor shower was great addition after time at the beach. House is well-stocked for short and long stays, including lots of beach paraphernalia! Top floor bedrooms and laundry room were quiet and convenient.May we come again?

Awesome family reunion week

This house was a wonderful refuge for us during our weeklong family vacation at the Oregon Coast. It was within walking distance of the beach and 4 other family units. My husband and oldest son took full advantage of the game room during some much needed downtime. My sister-in-law found the living room very restful for reading and relaxing. Beautiful home.

Beautiful Home

Exactly as pictured. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Perfect layout for family with teens. Great location in waking distance to beach and several stores/restaurants. Had some issues with hot water and some of the games and amenities didn’t work properly.

Perfect home

Was worried about a couple previous reviews about hot water, but between 9 of us we did not have any hot water issues. Even the outdoor shower was steaming hot. Everything was great about the home, close to beach, lots of fun activities in the house. Our only complaint was that the garbage had not been emptied when we arrived (had to have someone empty it because it was full to brim), no extra necessities like toilet paper and dishwashing pods. Had to go buy extra just to get through the week. Everything else was perfect. Decorated beautifully, huge living space. Perfect for our family of 9.

Our New Favorite Beach House

We rent on the Oregon coast a lot, and this home has just become our favorite. We loved having multiple high quality hangout zones, and easy access to the beach. The house is laid out well, with thoughtful and useful furniture and amenities. The kitchen is highly functional for cooking. It was unexpectedly handy to have two driveways. Lastly, the price seems low for all the value we got from the house!

Beautiful home

Beautiful house totally set up for family fun. We had 2 families of 4 with bigger kids and they loved the house, the games, the huge table and comfy couches. Super close to the beach. We had an issue with the water heater and response from management was slow which is the only reason I didn’t put 5 stars.

Spring Break Party of 9

Rented this house for our kiddos spring break had a group of 9 and the house was perfect size never felt congested with 4 adults and 5 kids, had all the kitchen utensils and amenities needed to cook for a large family. All the game room amenities were great. We had a small issue in the guest bathroom and they contacted and came and addressed the issue same day, customer service as spectacular! Cleanliness was superb! Highly recommended!!

Great Home for Teens

This home has so many wonderful ameneties. Besides the close access to the beach, things like sand toys, kites, and a wagon to haul it all in were available. Even though the first few days were rainy, we did not hear our teens say that they were bored one time on this trip. They had the arcade games, pool table, dart board and media room to keep them occupied. We call that a win in our book!

Fantastic Decision!

We picked this house with some friends (8 of us total) and it worked out perfect. Kitchen utensils, appliances, 3 bathrooms, all sleeping upstairs with the Game room in the basement was perfect. Kids used the game room to its full potential. Tons of seating for meals and board games. The ONLY issue anyone had was the Hot water in the upstairs bathrooms seemed to last for a very short time, so lots of cold showers and we couldn’t figure out the outdoor shower. Regardless of the minor issues, 5 out of 5 stars. Will definitely stay again.

Family fun time

This is a great house. With lots of room to spread out. A large kitchen with everything you might need. a draw back would be the bedroom and bathroom doors squeak when you open them which wakes other people up. The sofabed needs a thicker mattress on it.

Perfect for 2 families

What we loved most: Clean, spacious, fully stocked kitchen, extra linens, so much to do in thie house, short walk from the beach. What we would do differently: bring baby gates for the 2 flights of stairs and some cabinet locks. Open windows as soon as we arrive to cool down the house. My only request would be to put a dresser in the non primary bedrooms just to have somewhere to put my clothes. We love this house and already plan to be back next year.

Whole family comfort

Great amenities for the whole family. Newer construction, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen had all the needed essential wares. The 3 full bathrooms was a huge plus for our large family. The classic arcade games had hundreds of games and the pool table, shuffle board, karaoke machine, board games, and dart board kept us busy and competitive. Our Teens loved it. An easy 5 minute walk to the beach, under 15 to the casino and a large well known grocery store was a 3 min drive. This is a three story home. Stairs are unavoidable- so be prepared.

Walking distance to beach

We enjoyed our stay. The house is located near a grocery store, walking distance to beach, and little garden. The beach access is great for people with little kids and the outdoor shower was excellent for cleanup. The arcade machines were a hit. There were a few negatives. The cleaning wasn’t that great. At first it seemed ok, but then you started to notice thing. Baseboards in kitchen were dirty, drawers were full of debris, hairs in the shower and around sink, stained towels, guest bathtub drains extremely slow and sand all over couch. Also the outdoor trash was completely full when we arrived and no trash bags were left for the kitchen trash.

Nice house, but no hot water heater and birds in the walls...seriously.

We love the Blue Whale. We have stayed 3 times. The owners did a great job setting it up but the house is having some issues. The arcade game was broken. It looks like a guest noted that several months ago and it had not been fixed, I reprogrammed it and got it working again. A guest complained about the very damaged pool table several months ago and vacasa responded to the review saying they were working on a replacement. We arrived to find the same broken pool table. The outside shower was broken from freeze damage over winter and had not been repaired. We also found the outside hose disabled which made it hard to keep sand out of the house. The battery on the back door lock is low and many times would not work to let us in. The hall bathroom sink upstairs backs up. There was a bird infestation in the house...Each morning we heard birds scratching IN THE WALLS and CEILING. We went outside to make sure they weren't on the outside and found they were accessing the house through vent holes in the eves on the east side of the house. We heard birds flapping and making screeching sounds in that wall and behind the hall shower. Not how we expected to be woken up on our vacation. We also heard them above the stairwell ceiling. We contacted vacasa who had a local person call us and tell us there was nothing they could do right now and kept asking if I was just calling to "advise them". The last day the bird noise stopped so I suspect the screeching one got out or died in the wall. Believe it or not, the bird infestation and Vacasa's lack of response was not the worst part of the trip. It was that NO ONE got a warm shower the whole week. Hot water would start and run for a couple minutes, just long enough for you to get into the shower and get wet, then the hot water heater would shut off and the shower would be full cold. There is an on demand water heater in the garage that is probably having issues with a pressure switch and shutting off even though it is in use. A guest a month ago also noted that they didn't get any hot water all week and it hadn’t been repaired. A low battery on the door, a slow draining sink, and a broken alarm clock are understandable. A broken shower, no hot water heater, and a screeching bird infestation is the makings of a bad holiday comedy movie. This was all reported to vacasa weeks ago and I’ve only gotten auto replies that “local management have been notified”.

Beautiful, clean home.

All accommodations were “Top Notch”. Loved the pillows, in the master. If you allow, consider adding a hot water recirculating system. It took some time to get hot water, in the master. All in all the family enjoyed the stay. Spencer & Alice
