Comfortable, contemporary-styled, second-floor apartment with a view of the river. You'll have a great time relaxing inside, or outside by the river banks. You can enjoy fishing from the property or a nearby river walk or even kayak or canoe from a local launch point to the backyard.
The place was great for a short stay, with most of the amenities available.
The hosts were responsive and helpful, although they kept to themselves entirely.
Typical New England older home. 2nd floor unit. Comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen (that did remind me a bit of my first place out of college). This is definitely not The Ritz, but the linens were soft and the place worked for us.
Rustic upstairs apartment of a traditional New England duplex. Clean, but dated. Had everything we needed. Easy communication with host. Great for a temporary place to sleep while exploring the area.
Clean and spacious apartment, close to campus - just what I needed. Loved the purple bedroom! Some noise from street (it is right on Route 7) and downstairs tenants.
Potential guests should know that it is an upstairs apartment at the top of a steep staircase. This was fine for me but if someone is mobility-challenged or has heavy luggage, it could be an issue for them.
Overall lovely stay! A bit challenging to communicate back and forth through the VRBO platform. Needed a few items to fully equip the apartment. Those were provided the next day. All kitchen appliances in good working order. Nice to have laundry in basement. Roadway was a bit noisy at times, but we were advised of this in advance. Nice location with river in back and close to town. Downstairs neighbors were very quiet. Overall pleased with our vacation!
We arrived to the property by check-in time. However, the property had not been cleaned: both beds were unmade and contained dirty sheets, towels were wet, used, and strewn around the bathroom, garbage in the kitchen had not been taken out.
We booked just one night because we were attending a wedding, and needed access to the shower prior to the wedding
Turns out, the property mgr was out at a wedding, and something fell throw the cracks. The co-property mgr was available via phone and a cleaning woman (daughter) was there within an hour. She was great, and pulled a really poor experience into a pleasant one. Thank you!
Nice, simple 2d floor apartment. Although not enumerated in the listings, the place had all the appliances and amenities we needed (although Living room and bedroom would benefit by better reading lights). One minor problem handled by hosts quickly. Many of the places we frequented were within a mile -- south to downtown Williamstown, or north to Mountain Meadow Preserve (a lovely reservation on the Vt. border). Clark Museum and Mass MoCA were not much further. The days we ventured to Stockbridge/Lenox, of course, were a longer drive.
We spent a lovely week in this unit. It is located right near Williams and the theatre festival and close to the small downtown area as well as to hikes and an adorable alpaca farm. Claudia and Steve were great--we had a small problem and they were immediately responsive. It's no-frills, but clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The river access isn't much to speak of; we actually enjoyed spending mornings drinking coffee on the front porch.
Lovely getaway in Western Mass. Our children (11&8) loved walking down to the river to dip their toes in and play. The amenities were as described, clean, comfortable and quiet. We would definitely come back. It's a great getaway without kids as well because you can chill out in the morning, make coffee in the apartment and slowly lean into the day. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
