If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Home away from home

Great beach house! This house was perfect for our family. Love that we were able to bring our little dog. We can’t complain about the house its self. It was cozy and very comfy. Our only complaint is that we were not made aware that the property next door, which was literally steps away, had construction going on from 7am-5pm everyday. While we understand people build houses everyday, no one wants to listen to that on vacation. I feel like they should offer some kind of discount until the house right next door is complete. The taxes and fees were high considering we weren’t even made aware of this construction. The pictures show a nice empty lot next to the house and this is definitely not the case!

Awesome

For a last minute vacation spot it was nice! The construction traffic was a small problem but the house itself was great. Also it provided a great view of Gulf State Park from both bedrooms!

Wonderful home!

Our family of 3 thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in Gulf Shores. Sands of Time is a beautiful home that was perfect for our needs. We had plenty of room for us and our dog. The home is centrally located just 2 blocks from the beach and is also very close to restaurants and shops. We would be happy to stay at Sands of Time again in the future and will recommend this home to our friends and family!

Would Recommend

The house was very clean and smelled pleasant upon arrival. No evidence of being a pet friendly rental. Well stocked. The rental could use maybe a barstool table so you can sit high enough in the sunroom to look out while enjoying your coffee/drink. Also, for anyone looking to rent during the Hangout Fest, be aware that this street becomes a one way and is HIGHLY congested with not only traffic but also walkers all hours of the night, so driving anywhere is very difficult. The house next door rented 50 spots in his yard alone.

Perfect location

There was just enough room for our family, the location is perfect because you can use the side streets to get to it right before you get to the main busy intersection. It’s not too far that you can walk to the beach and restaurants. The only minor things is the motion detector light outside of the master bedroom was blinking like a strobe light. Also the master bathroom shower door needs to be fixed on the corner. It’s not staying up in place causing the door to not shut.

House not cleaned from previous renter, dirty bathrooms and linen, beds unmade. TV not working with dish or streaming in master bedroom, sand burrs in master bedroom carpet. Had to call for house to be cleaned, told tv would be fixed next day, they never came. Pet friendly, but so many sand burrs outside, they stuck in paw pads, so beware. Could have walked to a couple of restaurants, but SEVERAL blocks to the main hub. A couple of blocks to the beach, but roads closed for construction to get there. Would not recommend for a peaceful getaway since we spent the first 2 days of our 4 day visit problem solving. House needs some maintenance.

Needs a deep cleaning

There were some positives about this property - quite street, close to the beach, comfortable beds, clean linens, dogs allowed. However, we could not get past some things, and we would not stay at this property again. While the house was neat and we saw no dog hair, the floors were filthy. Walking barefoot the first day resulted in black feet, and we had to wear shoes in the house the rest of our stay. The carpets were bad as well. There were cooking pans that were rusty, the pans/bowls/etc were in complete disarray in the cupboard, a dirty knife in the dishwasher, exposed wires from an outlet coming out of the wall, the light fixtures were full of insects, the shower door does not close, and the cable box in the master bedroom did not work. There just seemed to be the minimum done in cleaning and caring for this house. We have stayed in many VRBO properties, and were very disappointed in this one.

5 day stay

This house was clean, stocked with what we needed, even extra bath linens. We love the location - close to everything and a short walk to the public beach access. It was quiet and not a lot of traffic on the dead end road. The sunroom porch smelled a little musty but didn’t bother us since we sat inside. AC, water pressure, hot water, TVs, all appliances worked great. Bed comfortable and we slept good. No bugs seen inside. For the price and being pet friendly, we couldn’t find a better rental.

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay at Sands of Time. The place was clean and their was plenty of room for the entire family. We really liked to location, we were a few blocks from the beach so we could walk to it instead of driving. Great location for food or activities.

Would Stay Here Again

I enjoyed how spacious and clean this rental was considering it's pet-friendly. We brought our dogs with us and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy themselves! The beds were very comfortable and we had excellent water pressure in the showers. We also didn't have any issues with traffic noise, noisy neighbors, etc. This rental is in a very good location in Gulf Shores with nearby access to the beach and the main Gulf Shores strip. Would definitely stay here again (especially since it's pet-friendly)! *I would advise to other pet parents to watch out for possible sandburs. We had to pick a few out of our dogs paws after walking them, but I imagine this would be an issue at just about any place close to a beach.

Close Enough

Close enough to the beach to hear the ocean, and even see it between high-rise buildings. Close enough to shops and restaurants to walk. Close enough to the airport where we had to go every day for a class. Kitchen was well equipped. Towels were on the thin side, both in amount provided and composition (close enough to get us through). All around close enough to meeting all of our needs that we had a lovely visit!

Great Stay!

The house was spacious and very pet friendly for us and our dog. It was a peaceful neighborhood and close to the beach if you want to avoid the crowds of being right on the beach. No foot or car traffic. The house was also super clean and great for the family to have enough room.

Cute home with lots of room

We stayed at Sands of Time for a family vacation. It was very clean and well stocked. It’s also a quick walk to the beach. We brought our golden retriever with us and it was a great experience.

Cute beach house!

Cute and very clean beach house. It was perfect for our family of four. We enjoyed this house because it was comfortable, clean, within walking distance to beach access, close to restaurants and shopping, close to the Pier. It was also quiet. Paint was fresh, new linens (and there were enough linens too…some rentals don’t have enough towels and pillows…this cute house did!), appliances were new, AC worked great. Beds were comfy too. Clean bathrooms without any plumbing issues.

Cozy Beach House

The location of the house was great, it wasn't too far from the beach (you could easily walk there) and it was located in a spacious area with lots of room for parking. The house was setup nicely and we loved that it had a sun room. We would definitely rent again in the future.
