Create your next family memory in this luxurious oceanfront condo on the fifth floor. This beautiful vacation rental is located at The Omni Resort at Amelia Island and includes a private balcony, a well-equipped kitchen, a private washer/dryer, a shared pool, and high-speed WiFi. Enjoy all the beauty of The Omni Resort at Amelia Island, just a short drive to charming downtown Fernandina!

Turtle Dunes is located inside The Omni Resort at Amelia Island with 24-hour security in a private gated community.

Things to Know
Be sure to check out the newly added Pickleball Court!
There is some repair work being done on the outside of the building. There will be a lift located on the east side of the building. Expected completion is the end of summer 2025.
Trailers and motorcycles are prohibited in this community.
Late August through September there will be cranes and other work equipment around the building and in the parking area as the association completes some repairs on the buildings exterior. There will still be ample parking available
There is a safety netting on the balcony that can obstruct the view while seated

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Location Location Location

Great resort and beach location. The condo was great nothing bad to say, the kitchen was very well stocked with what you needed. Very spacious, the balcony was a plus in the evening looking over the beach. Definitely will come again.

Beautiful!

Family Vacation

This is a very nice condo with an amazing view. We very much enjoyed our stay. There are just a few minor tweaks that would really put it over the top. Some updated living room furniture. Pull out sofas are notorious for being uncomfortable to sit on. This one is no exception. There is a smart tv in the living area, but we weren't given the Roku pin to be able to log in to our streaming apps. Upon contacting the rental agency, they were sorry they didn't have the pin but also didn't offer to reach out to the owner to try and get it for us. Maybe it wasn't possible to do that? There is cable tv, but as Roku users ourselves, it would have been great to be able to make use of the smart tv option. All that aside, it's a lovely condo. Amelia Island is our family's happy place. We've never had a bad day there in the many, many years of visiting and staying at Turtle Dunes.

Tranquility

We loved our stay at Turtle Dunes. The furnishings were very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. We loved drinking our coffee overlooking the beach each morning. One of my favorite things was the swivel chairs in front of the big window over the beach. It was great for the few times it rained or was too hot on the balcony. We cannot wait to go back.

Sisters Getaway

Spent a lovely week here. Fabulous location. Beach. Property. Really enjoyed it. Resort area so beautiful. Rented em bikes from Pedego store by Harris Teeter and explored Talbot state park. Beautiful. I highly recommend. Town of Fernandina beach is lovely. We had a goiurmet tapas meal at Espana in town. Excellent vacation.

Wonderful View

This condo is great. 2 couples stayed here, and we had a lot of room. Not much space in the smaller bedroom. Does not have a bench or chair you can sit in. Not many hangers. 2 balconies were really nice for each couple. I would stay here again. It is in a quiet area no problem sleeping. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and pans. Some baking dishes also. I would recommend this condo! We are all so glad we stayed here. Vacasa was great to work with and cared about if we were happy with everything.

I need a vacation from my vacation!!

It started off great. I will start by saying when we first arrived I noticed where water had apparently leaked across the bedroom ceiling in the past BUT I assumed that it had been fixed. WRONG!!! A storm in. The morning AFTER the storm my daughter informs me the ceiling was leaking in our bedroom. It started off as drips all over my bed and floor. My cousin, daughter and I quickly went and got anything we could find to catch the water in. Then it changed to basically raining on my side of the room. We moved the queen size bed and kept trying to clean up where it was leaking all over. Once we thought we got that handled I called Vacasa and left a voicemail. They weren't open. LONG story short I spoke w/ Angel and later I spoke w/ Mariah w/ Vacasa. Mariah admitted on that phone that we “saved” the floor and the bed and saved the owner “thousands of dollars” and said to thank us she was going to treat the 3 of us to a “nice” dinner “and for whatever” with a gift card. I thought the gift card would be to the amount of the last 2 nights we were there for all the inconvenience of all the equipment and calls and people coming in and out of the condo. We had a total of 4 VERY LOUD commercial fans in the condo. It literally sounded like a jet was in the condo. We were to run these fans 24/7. Not restful at all! Then Mariah came and gave us a gift card for $100. My cousin was insulted and voiced her opinion. Mariah told us it was our fault we were there during the storm. Mariah told me the day b4 we were a miracle. Remember, the leak started AFTER the storm. Then when my cousin asked her name she literally ran to the elevator as my cousin kept asking for her name She changed her name to Lisa. We could not enjoy our last two days because of their neglect of the condo. I could not enjoy the good weather we finally had because I was taking care of the condo problems. Oh... and they did not even call to let us know when all these people were coming. One person was in the condo in the bedroom where our purses etc. were just sitting out when we came back from the beach. All staff were told “no one is in the condo.” Lastly, The man from the “condo association” used a fancy water reader and found “lots” of water behind the wall in the living room too. It's saddens me because I believe the owner KNEW about all this damage and chose to rent it out anyway. Owner, if you are reading this PLEASE take down your cross and framed scripture. It gives us a bad name.

Exceptional Unit

We've visited the plantation for over 30 years and this is one of the nicest units we have stayed in. The unit was clean and updated with nice furnishings. Great view from the 5th floor balcony.

Wonderful get away

The condo was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with both dishes and utensils/ cookware. We loved the view from the balconies— one covered, one open —and the easy access to both the beach and the pool. As a bonus, everyone with whom we crossed paths at Turtle Dunes was very friendly. It was exactly the stay we were hoping for— would definitely enjoy coming here again.

Great Family Trip!

We enjoyed the condominium and amenities. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space to relax in the unit. Easy access to the pool and beach with a short walk to the elevator and boardwalk. Definitely would stay here again.

Just wonderful

Beautiful condo with a gorgeous view. Loved the Omni Resort grounds and we loved the Turtle Dunes complex. It was nice & quiet. My only suggestion for improvements would be to replace the dryer. The strings from our swimsuits would get hung & then tangled up. But overall, just a wonderful vacation
