We loved the property - the kitchen and it's facilities was outstanding, same with the bathroom and the bedrooms. The exterior is peaceful and tranquil with some wonderful views. All in all a wonderful place to stay - highly recommended.

Absolutely Marvelous

The views alone make this villa special. The host is very accomodating regarding special requests, reservations & recommendations. The villa is spacious and well equipped. It is a short drive to Greve in Chianti and other quaint towns. We highly recommend this property and would love to return one day.

Amazing View, Wonderful Host, Quaint Location

Located in a very small village in Chianti Classico, the views from this property are so amazing you won't want to leave. The property was immaculate and well furnished. Babette was wonderful to communicate with and gave excellent dining recommendations. The property doesn't have air conditioning, however we stayed when it was very hot and it was comfortable in the evenings and overnight.

Un lieu idéal au coeur du Chianti à recommander

La location au cœur du Chianti, est un havre de paix et de repos, à distance raisonnable des villes et sites de la région. Le confort de cette magnifique demeure ancienne est excellent, offrant toutes les commodités. La propriétaire des lieux est accueillante, soucieuse du séjour de ses hôtes. Disponible, elle prodigue par ailleurs, de nombreux conseils. Un séjour très agréable à renouveler, une location à recommander.

Très bien situé , magnifique décoration !

Maison spacieuse, parfaitement équipée avec une magnifique décoration. Bien située entre Sienne et Florence, au centre du Chianti. Très belle vue de la terrasse sur Greve et au loin Florence. Excellente adresse à recommander !!!

Betrug

Wir sind als Familie mit 2 Teenagern angereist. Der in der Annonce versprochene Gemeinschaftspool war eine Baustelle, direkt vor unserer Terrasse. Baustelle war tgl. von 8 bis 18 Uhr mit Kreissäge und Schleifer. Die beiden Schlafzimmerfenster waren auch auf Baustellenseite. Die Vermieterin hat uns vor der Anreise nicht darüber informiert, dass es keinen Pool gibt und dass direkt vor unserer Terrasse Baustelle ist. Wir haben mehrmals mit Fewo direkt und der deutschen Vermieterin Babette von Dohnanyi, die direkt vor Ort wohnt, Kontakt aufgenommen. Die Baustelle wurde nach Fristsetzung von uns nach dem 5. Werktag eingestellt. Am 11. Tag unseres „Urlaubs“ fand dann endlich das von uns eingeforderte persönliche Gespräch mit der Vermieterin statt. Fazit, sie zahlt uns für die Baustelle 600 €, Entschädigung für den nicht vorhandenen Pool will sie nicht zahlen. Die 600 € waren bei Abreise nicht bei uns eingegangen, am Abreisetag nachgefragt, hieß es aus dem Ausland dauert es länger, zu Hause per whatsApp nachgefragt, schrieb sie, es war Feiertag, dann habe ich eine Frist gesetzt, worauf sie aggressiv und beleidigend reagiert hat. Die Vermieterin war uns gegenüber unverschämt, arrogant und völlig Empathie los. Die Terrasse wird von 2 Kameras überwacht. Man wird also ständig gefilmt. Das war der Annonce auch nicht zu entnehmen. FAZIT: Wir raten dringend ab, bei dieser Vermieterin zu buchen!

Perfect Tuscan Retreat

The place was all I was hoping for. Located in the hills of the Tuscany, nestled between vineyards with an amazing view. It was more remote than expected, i.e. while there is a small village there is no place to get a coffee or breakfast. Not that we missed it, the kitchen was well appointed and we did not need it. I should have done my homework on this and brought more food, but we managed to get everything the next day in Greve some 20' away. We hope to be back in the not too distant future.

Scam!

Babette is a scammer. I paid in full, then day of she sent a video of her driveway. When I asked for directions (address, pin drop), she said, "i would advise to take a hotel it is to complicated to explain to you th? arrival." Floored, I asked a local to talk to her over the phone thinking it may be a language barrier, but the local told me Babette was very rude, did not provide her with any info on how to arrive, and should not be hosting guests. VRBO asked she refund me (via phone & email I'm CC'ed on) but hasn't.

Scary road, lots of mosquitos.

To get to the property, you have to drive uphill on a narrow winding dirt road. It’s only wide enough for one car. Even with an experienced driver, we did not feel comfortable driving up to the house after dark, so we had to cancel our dinner plans to arrive before nightfall. The sunset from the property is pretty, though. Both my partner and I woke with dozens of huge mosquito bites on our faces and necks. The bed has a mosquito net but it did not smell clean. The twin bedroom’s beds are very loud. You can hear someone turning over in the twin room from the master bedroom. The host was responsive but was out of the country. Finally, there was no washer drier as advertised. Internet was slow. Good water pressure in the shower, and the bathroom is large. The property is in a very tranquil area.

Eine traumhaft gelegene Unterkunft mit wunderschönem Blick in die Chianti- Berge und nach Florenz. Für Endurofahrer und sportliche Leute top, da man von der Haustür weg gleich auf unbefestigten, steilen Wegen stundenlang in der Natur unterwegs sein kann.

Feels like home

The view from the patio is amazing! The patios are designed for the best possible sunset view. There are multiple homes to rent within the same complex. Each adequately private. But, if you are vacationing with another family, this place could be perfect. The drive up the hill is daunting the first time. Do not be deterred. The home is perfectly situated near vineyards, castles, and the Grieve in Chianti. So much to do & see! We didn’t stay long enough. The hostess is kind, gives suggestions of places to visit in town, etc. Just what we needed. Furnishing are real, solid pieces. Nothing from ikea. Attention to detail on the home updates are perfect. Nice memory foam mattresses. Sparkling clean shower & bathroom. I was worried about our late July - early August stay without AC. Maybe it’s the old stone building, or large windows and small hatches designed to create cross breezes, but we were fine. The host had the windows open, and breezes blowing on arrival, plus fans in multiple rooms. We were never hot. We stayed in 5 properties during our July/Aug tour of Italy. This was by far the best of them!

Nice house in a beautiful setting

The house is high in the Hills and has a beautiful vieuw. We had a nice stay in juni . Because of the hot weather we did miss an airco . Everything in the house was very good , spacious and clean. The host was very kind and helpful .

Besonders und liebevoll eingerichtete große Ferienwohnung in ruhiger Umgebung

Die Ferienwohnung liegt etwas erhöht in den Weinbergen und eröffnet auf der großräumigen Terrasse einen herrlichen Blick in das Chiantigebiet. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Küche ist besonders gut ausgestattet. Wir waren im Hochsommer vor Ort, Ventilatoren waren in allen Räumen vorhanden. Babette ist uns bei allen Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite gestanden, vielen Dank dafür. Alles in allem haben wir dort wunderschöne, erholsame Tage erlebt.

We had a wonderful holiday in the appartement of Babette and Marco. A fully equipped kitchen were we had several Italian dinners. A terras with a spectacular view. The house was super clean and very stylish decorated. We received several great great suggestions from Babette for restaurants or beautiful towns or trips. It was a perfect holiday, from which we look back with a huge smile.

Great location to visit the Tuscany hill towns.

We enjoyed our stay and Babette went above and beyond to welcome us. This is a beautiful location high on the hill side overlooking the vineyards. Very well equiped with everything you need to relax on the terrace. For trips to local towns you would need a car to get about. The only thing we missed was air conditioning but it does cool off at night.

Volle Zufriedenheit

Für eine Woche MTB fahren in Chianti und Tagesausflüge in die umliegenden Städte (Firenze, Siena, Luccha) hat sich die Ortschaft Greve und die Torretta für 2 Leute als optimal erwiesen. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und gepflegt und bietet eine schöne Sonnenterrasse, die auch zum stundenlangen verweilen gut gewesen wäre. Noch ruhiger geht heutzutage kaum. Babette zeigte sich sehr hilfsbereit und hatte sofort Karten- und Routenmaterial zur Hand, mit dem wir uns gleich nach der Anreise ins Gelände stürzen konnten. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Amazing views and beautiful apartment

I loved staying at this apartment. The whole week was fantastic. The location is convenient to every part of Tuscany we wanted to visit. Very central. The apartment was huge and beautifully appointed. Everything that a person could want. Owner is great. Very helpful and very nice. Communication was great before, during and after our stay. I can't wait to go back and stay again!

Zu 100% Wohlfühlgarantie

Wir haben zu viert die Casa Arco Wohnung bezogen und haben uns nach der sehr freundlichen Begrüßung durch Babette sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohung ist für vier Personen mehr als ausreichend und noch dazu sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Genau so stellt man sich das Wohnen in der Toskana vor. Den Tag morgens bei einem Kaffee auf der Terrasse zu beginnen und ihn abends gemütlich bei einem Wein ausklingen zu lassen war großartig. Diese Aussicht von der Terrasse muß einfach genossen werden. Babette scheint einen 6. Sinn dafür zu haben, wann ihre Hilfe benötigt wird oder man einfach einen Tip braucht für einen Ausflüg in der traumhaften Landschaft der Toskana. Als Fazit bleibt nur zu sagen, ein Urlaub bei Babette in der Toskana können wir jedem uneingeschrängt empfehlen.

Traumhafte Lage mitten im Chianti-Gebiet

Wir haben in der Wohnung Arco mit 3 Personen 10 Tage verbracht. Das Haus liegt ca. 300 Höhenmeter über dem Weinort Greve dadurch hat man eine sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Hügel der Umgebung bis nach Florenz. Die Wohnung hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung und ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Direkt von der Haustüre kann man zu schönen Wanderungen in der Umgebung starten. Die historischen Städte Sienna, Florenz und Arezzo sind mit dem Auto sehr einfach und schnell zu erreichen. Die Vermieterin war ausgesprochen freundlich und hat uns zahlreiche wertvolle Tips gegeben.
