2476 Shipwatch is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom oceanfront villa in the popular West Beach neighborhood with inviting interiors, sweeping ocean views and beach access directly from the building to Kiawah Island’s miles of pristine beaches.

This oceanfront villa is well-appointed with an open layout offering wonderful morning sun and natural light throughout the day. The open plan living area is spacious with comfortable seating, a flat screen TV for entertainment, a dining table for 4 and access to the ocean facing balcony. The kitchen is newly updated with modern appliances, granite countertops and all you need for home cooked meals.

This Shipwatch villa is ideal for a couples getaway to Kiawah Island with a spacious king suite with a brand new bed, flat screen TV and private ensuite with a tub/shower. Large sliding doors capture wide ocean views from your pillow and open to the spacious balcony to enjoy quiet time and alfresco dining with ocean breezes and views. The living room offers a pullout couch for an additional 2 guests.

This Shipwatch villa is located on the 4th floor of the building. There are laundry facilities available on each floor and an elevator in the building for guest convenience.

Shipwatch Villas are oceanfront condo rentals located on the beach in the heart of West Beach Village. West Beach Village is located nearest to Kiawah Island’s main gate and is situated around the Cougar Point Golf Course and Clubhouse. West Beach is Kiawah’s oldest neighborhood with meandering boardwalks, mature maritime forests and a charming, Lowcountry island vibe.

You’re an easy walk to the beach, a bike ride away from Freshfields Village, The Sanctuary Hotel, Night Heron Park and Kiawah Island’s world-class golf courses and tennis, and a short 40-minute drive to historic downtown Charleston.

Pool Access: Please note this property has NO resort pool access.

Beach Access: Enjoy beach access directly from the building via Boardwalks 5 and 6.

Pet Policy: This property does not allow pets.

Parking: There is parking for up to 2 cars.

Check-in instructions will be sent via email at least 10 days prior to check-in once the Rental Agreement is signed. If your stay is within 9 days, or lesser, from the time of booking, the instructions will be sent via email as soon as the Rental Agreement is signed.

The View!

This is a perfect place for a couple to get away and enjoy Kiawah Island. The condo was super clean, everything worked as it should, the location was ideal, and the view of the ocean was to die for!

It was well-kept and had all we needed for the two of us. Our only suggestion is to add a couple of rolling baggage carts like one sees at a hotel in order to ease the unloading and loading process. We had to make four separate trips to get our stuff in the unit. Since it was on the fourth floor, it was tedious and time consuming. The view was wonderful, the porch was comfortable and we enjoyed the beach - great access!

A little getaway

The property was nice but needs a updated bathroom, the view was absolutely beautiful, we enjoyed the beach being so close to the property and it was so nice. Our trip was very relaxing, the property provided what we needed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our vacation in this unit! Especially enjoyed the east facing balcony that was shady in the late afternoon and was great for looking at the beach in daylight, and the stars at night. Just noticed a couple of things that prospective renters might consider. The hot water heater is one of those instant on models (which no doubt saves the owners money). The water temperature fluctuated quite a bit, especially if someone turned on another faucet (even cold water), and made showers a little iffy. Only other tiny item was that there were no coffee filters in the unit. (We quit bringing them years ago as all rentals seemed to have them.)

The unit was clean and had what we needed. it was very close to our fav Restarant, the southern kitchen. We were there Easter weekend. Even though I take medication, I had really bad allergies daily. it was springtime but we began to wonder of there may have been a cat in that unit even though there was no sign of one. The owners can have pets but we did not ask if a cat could have been there. Our unit was on the 4th floor with a great view of the ocean. except for awful allergies, we enjoyed this unit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great venue for fresh air and the ocean. Cycling on the beach is so invigorating, and the bike paths are first rate. We took two kayak excursions in the salt marshes, and learned a bunch about that ecology. Everyone got the memo on courtesy and friendliness from the front gate to the condo maintenance staff.
