Location was great and very close to beach access. ! The facility was clean but worn and dated. Bathroom has issues with draining water and the unit was very dark. Could use new lighting
The decor was very dated. The front door and sliding back door were very difficult to open and close. The construction noise in the morning was very disturbing and would have been nice to know this was going on beforehand. Other than that, the location was close to the beach and very convenient to the parks as well.
Weâve come several years to this property. They were working on paving sidewalks so it smelled of hot asphalt several days but that canât be helped. It is affordable and comfortable and under a two minute walk to the beach boardwalk. Owner is very easy to communicate with
We didn't expect to spend as much time inside the villa as we did, but Tropical Storm Debby arrived soon after we did and made for a rainy, windy start to our vacation. Thankfully, Tom sent us many updates from the Kiawah Island Community Association related to the storm and its effects on the roads, businesses, etc. We had no issues with power or water during the storm. The living room was very cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the pond outside the back porch, and after the storm passed, we got to see a Great Blue Heron there. Some people may not appreciate that not everything there is the latest and greatest (such as cabinets, fixtures, etc.) but everything was clean, presentable, and in working order, and that was more important to us than how up-to-date it was. Oh, and the TV is a new Smart TV, which we used more than expected, and with no problems. In short, the place suited our needs perfectly.
This was the latest of multiple years we have rented this unit. We had one issue of which the owner was made aware and addressed promptly. Note: We couldn't ever figure out how to work the tv, but we are a little technically challenged in such matters. We used our lap tops for news, etc and were fine! Who comes to Kiawah to watch tv anyway?
Not very pleased, TV in living room did not work. There were bugs/roaches all in the kitchen. The bed was uncomfortable as well. My daughter and I have been coming to Kiawah for the last 7 years for Motherâs Day and we love it here. But the bugs were a big turn off.
Surrounded by old trees, you feel like staying in a green-house, sitting on the porch and wondering if an alligator will really show up in the lagoon right in front. The vegetation is simply amazing.
The beach is wonderful for bike riding. The apartment is very well equipped with beach chairs for 4, even sand toys for the kids.
To recommend for couples (privacy) and families alike.
Thank you Tom for allowing us to stay in your villa/condo. We had an amazing time. Unit is very close to the beach and Nest shop and cafe. In addition to itâs excellent location, our favorite part of the condo was the screened back porch. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch while watching the squirrels, heron, egert, and gator. We had such a relaxing stay. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed. Thank you.
A short, amazing walk to the beach. This place has everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable. You won't want to get out of bed here. Lots of towels and blankets. The screened porch is perfect for relaxing after a long day and bike rentals can be dropped off right at your door.
We love Kiawah and always bring our bikes because the bike lanes are all over the island and are fabulous .
Our cozy condo was very nice. The mattress is excellent! We slept much better here than at home!
There is a resident heron who we have gotten to know over our 2 visits here! He is right outside our window in a little pond where we can watch his every move.
Cannot wait to return!
Thomas was a wonderful host, communicated great beforehand. The condo was darling, super close to the beach and had everything I needed! Would book again and highly recommend!
Enjoyed our return trip to mariners watch. Condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. Short walk to the beach and to the new market adjacent to the nature center. We are planning our return trip for next year!
The inside is a little "long in the tooth". Needs more eating utensils, a nonstick fry pan, and smaller furnishings...coffee table. Other than that it was fine.
